The view of Cayuga Lake, from Lower Lake Lodge is unbelievable! The one of-a-kind view is not the only attraction however. The welcoming, charming and comfortable lake home built in 1848, offers many areas for relaxation, large and spacious living quarters and a beach front that's hard to match.

To the left of the foyer is a large living room with hardwood flooring, fireplace, surround sound stereo and large screen TV. A beautiful screened-in porch with mahogany flooring can be entered through French doors off the living room and kitchen. Spend time reading, entertaining, or just enjoying the magnificent lake view. On the other side of the foyer is a half bath and laundry room with washer, dryer and utility sink. Just around the corner is the large spacious kitchen which includes Jen-Air Grill, dishwasher, microwave side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, wall oven, gas counter top stove, and a large window for the splendid view of Cayuga Lake.

Once on the second floor on the left is a full size bathroom with tub/shower unit. Bedroom one has two queens and one twin bed, along with a full size couch and TV. Also a very large walk in closet is available. A full size bath with stand up shower and separate jacuzzi bath tub completes this master room.

The second bedroom, has a queen bed, two dressers, a walk-in-closet with built-in drawers and private balcony with patio set. This room also has a TV. The third bedroom has a twin bed, a queen bed, a TV and a closet. The fourth bedroom has one double bed with walls of shelving and a small closet.

Enjoy a game of volleyball in the large side yard or walk down to the beach and enjoy the level yard along the lake shore. Lower Lake Lodge is located on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail and is close to the NYS Thruway, Seneca Falls, Ithaca, Aurora, and the Waterloo Premium Outlets.

Stunning Property

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect home for a family gathering. Roomy bedrooms, gorgeous master bath, large living room and open kitchen/ dining room. The porch can seat an entire family and the dock is the place to spend a sunny afternoon. Last, but far from least, the view of the lake from the kitchen and porch is stunning. Also might have some of the most beautiful floors I've ever seen. The house is immaculately maintained. Great restaurant(Deer Head) just down the road.

Beautiful spacious home on Cayuga Lake

  • 5 of 5

As other reviewers have mentioned, the online pictures of this place look great, but the reality is that it is even nicer than they portray! The place is huge, and is in unbelievably great condition. The place is an old historic home, but it has obviously had a lot of top notch remodeling and modernization done to it ... all without ruining the historic character and feel. And I stress that it is a "home", not just a lake camp! The amazing huge screened in back porch overlooking the lake was used a lot during our stay ... it is very big, with nice tables/chairs, and enough comfortable porch furnishings for our whole group to sit out there.

The lake frontage is very large, about 200 feet wide, with a deep grassy area for sitting at the lakefront, and playing lawn games; which we did a lot of over our stay!

It is also very close to things to see and do. Our group split up for a little while, some shopping at the Waterloo Factory Outlets, while others did some wine tastings on the Cayuga Wine Trail ... both areas are within minutes of this home. Some of us also stopped up for a look at the new Del Lago casino, also just minutes away.

Our family group is already talking about when we might be able to come back! I would highly recommend it to any group of people looking to stay in the area.

Totally awesome experience. Old world charm with a commanding view of the lake. We're coming back!

  • 5 of 5

This beautifully restored home on the lake was spacious and beautifully appointed with all the modern amenities. Mother Nature even cooperated on this fine September weekend to make our stay unforgettable. All our married kids loved the get-away, our 4 year old grandson was easily entertained and our dogs enjoyed the cool country air. Lucy, our 13 year old senior citizen, was content to lie in the grass and listen to the birds and squirrels, while Mya, the 9 month old pup, ran around to her heart's content. Very therapeutic for both of them who spend their days cooped up in the house in the suburbs while everyone is away at work. The 4 year old grandson explored every corner of this lovingly restored home and the grown children and their spouses had plenty of room to socialize or just chill and go hide away from the world for a few hours. This is a beautiful spot and well worth the time and effort the owners have spent making it ready for our arrival. We LOVED it!

Perfect size and location

  • 5 of 5

The online pictures don't do this place justice. It was roomy and clean. I loved the convenience of not having to bring towels or bedding. The fenced in yard up top was great for the dog and the lower yard set up also made it easy to contain our furry family members. You'll have to bring all of your own food, including spices and condiments. We bought replacement paper towels, toilet paper and laundry soap and also left some cleaner and zip lock bags there. Other than these and any additional games (they already have some there), personal items, life jackets for adults, they have just about everything else you should need. The canoe and kayaks are a nice way to explore the lake, which is very large and low on traffic. One note regarding safety: there is a non obvious opening to the left of the gate to go down the stairs to the lake, which my dog found and fell partially down the hill...it could have just as easily happened to a small child. We put a cooler there to block it, after we discovered this. Luckily the pooch ended up ok. All in all, this is a fantastic property and I would definitely recommend it and stay here again.

Early Summer graduation celebration

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the Lower Lake Lodge for 5 days with my son who graduation from Cornell and my extended family. It was absolutely wonderful!! The house was very roomy. We could gather on rockers on the porch for conversation and laughs while others stole away for a quiet time with a good book. My brother in law and his son enjoyed fishing while others enjoyed some time kayaking on the lake. The view was stunning. So cool to watch changes on the lake throughout the day. We enjoyed some nearby wineries, historic home of Harriett Tubman and of course three days of grad ceremonies in Ithaca. Tremendous time. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely home with us.

Perfect Escape for a Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had 14 adult men looking to have a weekend of relaxing and riding around on a boat we rented for the weekend. This house was perfect. There was plenty of room to sleep but it was all the other parts that were great. The Lake Frontage is the best among all of the houses around it. We played cornhole and Kan-Jam right by the water, which was really cool. There are two docks to tie off your boat too. In regards to the house, it is HUGE! So much space to spread out. The kitchen/Dining Room is very large and has all that you could need and more. The living room has a big screen for watching TV, which we all crowded into to watch the Horse race. We all fit comfortably. But the best part of this house is the screened in porch. It is really large with several seating areas, places to eat and even a few rocking chairs. The view is incredible and we spent a substantial amount of time sitting right there. I highly recommend you jump on this rental for your next family gathering or get together with your friends. It was completely worth it.
