This was one of the most relaxing gettaways we have been on. The accomodations were exquisite and the atmosphere was breathtaking. We truly felt like we were on vacation. I would recommend this with the highest marks!

We had an amazing time staying at this wonderful home! The indoor space was great along with the outdoor area. The kids enjoyed playing down by the water and running around in the yard. The home was spacious and perfect for a large family with a mix of children of all ages and adults. With beautiful weather and a fabulous landscape right outside the door, we could not have asked for anything more. The owner Frank was fabulous to work with and was always helpful. Our experience there was unforgettable!
A group of us spent a long weekend here and absolutely fell in love with the place!
The home is luxurious and grand but furnished to feel welcoming and cozy. Even with its custom finishes and modern updates, it has a unique, New England charm that matches the natural beautify of its surroundings. The property has it all -- a large outdoor space for dining, a lawn with garden flowers, a beach side picnic table shaded by surrounding trees, and steps down to a private stretch of beach. My favorite spot is the second floor balcony which has a stunning view of the water and is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee or curl up with a book.
Frank is also a great host who was accommodating both before and during our stay. He came by to give us a tour of the house and answer any questions and didn't hesitate to come back again to change out a few light bulbs and install screens for the windows upon request. We can't thank him enough for the wonderful stay and look forward to staying again!
I just got back from my stay this morning and wanted to make sure to write a review because I was so pleased! I stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my upcoming wedding with some friends, and I can't say enough great things about the house and property. The house is breathtaking, everything was as promised and I couldn't have asked for a better getaway. The owner Frank is very accommodating and a delight!
This house was everything we could have hoped for. The property matched the description and pictures perfectly, and Frank was very easy to deal with. Everyone in our group really enjoyed our stay, from the size and comfort of the house, to the location right on the water, to the delicious pizzas we made in the oven. Couldn't recommend it more highly. Thanks for everything!
When you look at the pictures posted...You might be thinking...It's too good to be true! This home is FANTASTIC! It easily swallowed up my family(wife,2 kids), my brothers family(wife,2 kids), as well as my parents. The kids played, swam and fished right out the back along the shore. NOTE: The Stripers seemed to bite more at low tide(caught 4). We enjoyed using the two supplied kayaks to explore the area. Miles of walking trails were explored as well. Though it feels remote...town is just 10min away. There was a fun cafe called "The Fresh Batch" with everything from burgers to italian gelato...all real good! This home was easy to relax in and enjoy.
We had a wonderful Family "reunion" with all the siblings and grandchildren gathering together. Gorgeous location! Remote enough to feel like nobody is around yet 10 minutes to Freeport. A perfect memory for all of us:)
This home was constructed with the utmost of care to make as healthy and energy efficient as possible and was built essentially formaldehyde & allergen free and employed zero or low VOC products only when necessary in the construction process. It has HRV units to purify/dehumidify the inside air, gets the majority of domestic hot water from solar panels and all of the bedrooms except for the carriage house have optional 'kill' switches to cut power in bedrooms for those with electrical-magnetic sensitivities. The vast majority of construction products and services came from local sources and utilized as much natural or recycled materials as possible (99% of all the exterior stones came from an abandoned quarry of a nearby island). For those that stay in the off season, warm your toes on the radiant heated floors, enjoy the passive solar warmth from the abundant south facing windows, and don't forget the fireplace or wood stove if it's wood heat that pleases you.
