This spectacular home is perched on a 23-acre knoll above the beautiful Napa Valley with 180 degree valley and mountain/forest views. Elegant yet very family-friendly, the home was designed by renowned architect Robert A.M. Stern. It features a huge master suite with his and hers dressing rooms, as well as two additional bedrooms with ensuite baths, one with a queen bed, and the second with twins that can be converted to a king. A gourmet kitchen with premium appliances opens onto a warm family room with fireplace. The house also features a wood paneled library with fireplace, huge living room with high ceilings and fireplace that opens onto a walled garden, and dining and breakfast rooms. A fully equipped exercise room includes weight and cardio machines. Outside, you can enjoy the late afternoon views of the valley from the Adirondack chairs on the terrace, then eat dinner overlooking the pines on Mt. St. John on the pergola-covered patio in back. After dinner, enjoy a fire in the outdoor fireplace as the day cools.
The stone pool house contains two large bedroom/sitting rooms with a king in one and twins in the other, plus fold out couches in each, along with ensuite baths. A kitchenette with sink, fridge, and microwave is perfect for guest breakfasts and lunch by the pool. The infinity edge pool is surrounded with lawn, and the spa is set among the natural boulders.
You can hike along abandoned mining trails, play tennis on the on-site tennis court, romp on the expansive lawns, or just relax under a tree or by the pool. World famous restaurants like the French Laundry are just minutes away, as are, of course, the greatest wineries in the country with their tasting rooms and tours.

The Napa Valley is a very special and relaxing place, with perfect weather year round and plenty to do. This particular property is unique, with privacy and seclusion, unparalleled views, and proximity to great restaurants and shopping. We are wine lovers and the proximity to the great Napa Valley wineries is a plus.
Our home is designed by renowned architect Robert A.M. Stern and built of the very highest materials, yet is comfortable and not too formal. It is an 'inside-out' home, where the outside spaces are as comfortable as the inside. The pool and spa area are spectacularly beautiful, with lounge chairs and umbrellas. We can play on our tennis court, work in our vegetable garden, take a swim or a soak in the spa, take a hike, or just relax in the hammock under an oak tree. Some of the best restaurants in the country are a stones throw away, as are the finest wineries.
Celebrated milestone birthdays with close family and friends. The setting and home were beautiful. Couldn't wait to get up in the morning to witness the beauty from our master bed. Then found it hard to go to bed each as the night sky beckoned. Quiet, peaceful and the perfect place to spend a week in napa. My favorite room was the library.
Pictures don't do it justice and our entire group of family and friends would agree this is a magical place. Wonderful library and countless places to relax and read regardless of how big your group is. We loved the location; mid-valley so close to everything, yet up the hillside a bit providing a very serene setting and view all around. We enjoyed our own tastings on site because there is simply no better place! Best of all of our VRBO experiences, which have all been great!
There can not be a better vacation rental in all of Napa. The property is stunning and the house is grand but very comfortable. There is a long, narrow, winding driveway that transports you to a different world. The gates open and welcome you in; be careful you'll never want to leave. Everything we needed was there, right where we'd guessed it to be.
The wood burning fireplaces added to the warmth and comfort with plenty of wood available for a great fire in any area of the house. We loved it all; we'll be back.
This property is amazing! We spent a week there with our entire family ( 12 in all with 5 grandkids!!! ) and had a fantastic time!! The sights are exceptional, you are literally on top of the mountain. The views are 360 degrees and will make you feel relaxed and at home. Anything we needed, the house manager was right there to help. It was a perfect location for visiting wineries and attending delicious meals out. It was also nice to stay in, and enjoy a family dinner in one of the spacious dining rooms. The pool and poolhouse was a perfect set up for the grandkids. (not to mention the hot tub for the adults) This was a vacation of a lifetime and we look forward to returning on a special occasion in the future!
This was our first VRBO experience - there's simply no way they can all be this fantastic! House is classy but comfy. Views take your breathe away - they are stunning. Pictures do not do justice - they just can't - when you wake to overlook the entire valley there's no way to capture that. The house manager was attentive and helpful; owners quick communication and helpful as well. Our kids never wanted to leave - they were in the gorgeous pool most of our stay. I didn't want to leave either! If you are even considering this - BOOK it!!!! It's amazing!
John Stienbecks phrase, "Pastures of Heaven" best describes this property. It is a dream come true. Our entire family (12 counting kids) fit with rooms to spare. The weekend we spent there created a memory my children will remember forever.
Don't look at anything else; book it. There will be no regrets.
The property is located in the heart of the Napa wine producing region, and is close to dozens of wineries and some of the best restaurants in the world, including the French Laundry.
