Perfect Yellowstone Basecamp
We enjoyed staying at this house with the Yellowstone River in the backyard. My daughters particularly enjoyed waking up in the morning to deer and elk in the yard. The house had ample room and amenities for our five day stay. Everything was clean and we will be back.
Home Sweet Home
This little gem located next to the Yellowstone River had everything you could possibly need. We (a family of four) thoroughly enjoyed exploring the park all day and then coming home to relax. I loved the lodge like decor which added to the "homey feel." Thank you Sandy for sharing your little slice of heaven, we will be back!!
Wonderful Home Away From Home
We stayed at the Yellowstone River house, which my girls called it, for a total of six days. The house itself is very clean and comfortable! Anything that you need for an extended vacation, it has. The outside cover patio off the river is amazing. We had a fire almost every night. We vacationed with my in-laws. There was a total of six of us and we were very comfortable, not crowded at all! The shopping and food in Gardiner was nice. The north entrance to Yellowstone was almost right outside the door! Loved it!!!
I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a home away from home.
Great location and property!
The property and house were great! The house was very well stocked. Owner and her family were very nice and accommodating! The location was very convenient to Yellowstone! We loved staying here and would definitely stay here again!
Cozy home by the river!
We had a wonderful stay at this cute yellow house with a backyard that goes down to the Yellowstone river just outside of Gardiner, MT. Very clean, tidy, excellent location, and super friendly and helpful hosts.
Fantastic property on the Yellowstone River!!
We spent 4 awesome nights at this gem. The house was large and the setting was perfect! The two bedrooms are nice size and will sleep quite a few people. Everything was spotless clean and the kitchen was great as well as the nice touches of all the "homey" goodies, like condiments, coffee, laundry soap for the full size washer & dryer, plenty of towels...the house has all the perfect extras. We would go into Gardiner, a very short drive from the house, for restaurants and/or groceries and the house is a very short drive to the park. It was perfect for us. The Gardiner Market had everything we needed and there were lovely restaurants in town, like Tumbleweed. Each night, after our day in the park, we would sit on the awesome deck on the river and have a fire. We didn't want to leave! The view is unsurpassed...amazing! The first night, we were sitting on the deck and I looked behind me and I saw an elk in the yard! I was pleasantly surprised...and several elk came to visit during our stay. I can't say enough about this perfect property. It was so very quiet and just close enough to the park. We want to return sometime soon, and we will stay at this house each time we return. Sandy and her son were SO friendly and amazing. They were available for anything we needed...but there was nothing they did not think of for our stay! Anyone would be so happy that they chose this place for peace and quiet, yet close proximity to Yellowstone and the cute little town. And the nicest people are in Gardiner! Anyone would love this wonderful property!! We can't wait to return! Thank you Sandy, for sharing your fabulous home!!
My home is located 3 miles from the entrance into Yellowstone Park and Gardiner Montana. The house with a huge back yard sits on the banks of Yellowstone river. This home is far enough out of town so you hear no noise at night but close enough if you need to run in to enjoy some day and night life. We offer out door seating in a covered gazebo with a rock fire place, and deck over the river bank, to enjoy the scenery, sounds of the river and just the tranquil feeling you will get. In Gardiner there are lots of Gift shops, grocery store, Bars and different kinds of restaurants.
Other Activities: Yellowstone National Park is in your back yard. There is wild river rafting and fishing on the Yellowstone River, Horseback riding along with dinners up in the mountains. Yellowstone National Park offers lots of site seeing, museums, and history of the area.
Golf: There is golfing in Livingstone Montana, 53 miles from the house. Also Bozeman Montana has a golf course which is about 80 miles from the house.
Ski: In the winter time Yellowstone Park has some of the best cross country skiing around. Not only awsome scenry but the animal life you will see. You also have down hill skiing in Bozeman Montana about 80 miles away and both cross country and down hill skiing in Big Sky Montana about 130 miles away.
