The 44 sqm apartment, next to the Acropolis Museum, is just a walking distance from the Acropolis and the heart of Athens. The Acropolis Metro Station, only a few meters away, links it directly to both the Athens Airport and the Piraeus harbour and on to the greek islands. Thus there is no need for a car. It is fully furnished and has just been renovated by the architect owner.
The flat, on the elevated ground floor is fully secured and easily accessible. There is a comfortable double bed in the bedroom. The extra folding bed in the living room, available on request, makes it ideal for a couple and a child or a friend. The air conditioning makes the apartment very comfortable even through the hottest summer days and nights.
There is free internet WI-FI access.
The flat is equipped with a washing/drying machine. An automatic laundry service is also right opposite. Access to the beach is very easy with tram or bus. Coffee shops, news stands, restaurants and bars around the Acropolis and the tavernas of old Plaka are all at a walking distance. The Acropolis Museum also offers great views to the Acropolis from its beautiful and economic roof terrace Restaurant and Cafeteria. There are many events taking place both in the Museum and in the lively and safe neighbourhood.
The National Garden, the Panathinaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games were held in 1896, Zappeion, the House of Parliament and many other archaeological sites are all at a walking distance. It is also a great experience walking down the Ermou Street shops and to the Monastiraki Flea Market.

This is a spotless apartment, with the kitchen and bathroom beautifully remodelled. It's located very close to the Acropolis Metro station so I was able to travel painlessly by Metro from the airport. It's a few steps from the Acropolis Museum below the Acropolis with a great choice of cafes and restaurants right there. And a wonderful bakery in the other direction that Nikos told me about! The kitchen is fully fitted out with little extras like oil and condiments for those who want to cook, and there's a small supermarket close by. Comfortable bed and other furniture and effective air conditioning.
It's easy for an owner to provide good service when everything goes smoothly, but Nikos' commitment to ensuring his guests enjoy their stay shone through when I woke on the third morning to find there was no electricity. Nikos responded immediately and worked to rectify this while I was out sightseeing. When the issue couldn't be resolved, Nikos provided me with alternative quality accommodation and financial compensation for the inconvenience. Thanks again Nikos! Highly recommended and I'd definitely stay there again.
We loved this apartment!! It was easy to get to from the airport and so close to everything. We walked every where in the city. There is no need for a car as the Parthenon and other locations are so close. Nikos the owner was wonderful. He meet us and gave us a quick review of the neighborhood and the area. We made friends at the corner coffee shop and walked down to a neighborhood that Nikos had recommended and had one of our favorite meals of our entire trip. The apartment itself is very comfortable. Great bed. Modern kitchen and bath. Television and wifi. We felt very safe and secure. We stayed here for two days at the beginning of our trip to Greece and wished we could of stayed here again on our last day/night in Athens. We would definitely recommend this apartment to everyone.
We spent 3 nights here in May. Nikos was there to meet us despite our plane being late and traffic affecting our taxi trip from the airport, he was waiting for us. He told us about the area and where to go. The apartment was really centrally located and we could walk to everything - so convenient.
We were greeted by Jason, Niko's son, who gave us a good rundown of the apartment and local area. The apartment was as described and met our needs well. There are many restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets in the area. It is also easy to get around Athens and the airport as the metro is in easy reach of the apartment.
We would recommend the apartment to other couples.
Nikos was so so helpful and kind. He went way beyond our expectations and helped us with all we needed to know about the area. It was close to the acropolis which was amazing. Also so clean and comfortable.
My husband and I stayed here for the first 2 nights of a 4 week trip. What a great beginning! Nikos was so helpful! He met us on our arrival even though we arrived after 22:00. He showed us all around the apartment and then took us outside and gave us the lay of the land. He pointed out in which direction to go to eat with the locals and which direction to eat with the tourists. He even gave us directions to a lovely little local bakery. Yum.
I won't repeat all of the things in the other glowing reviews, but I will say that I agree with them! Thank you Nikos for a great beginning to our holiday.
Koukaki, the neighborhood on the south slope of the Acropolis is an old area with a history of thousands of years. The new Acropolis Museum designed by architect Bernard Tschumi has brought new life the area. The pedestrianized street network around the Acropolis with its small cafes and shops is the meeting point for both Athenians and visitors from all over the world. The Acropolis on the one side and the 'listed' historic neoclassical buildings on the other, make Dionysiou Areopagitou Str one of the finest promenades in the world. The old traditional area of Plaka, only a few blocks away, is a unique place to visit, not only for its traditional architecture, the archaeological sites and the museums, but also for its tavernas and the amazing nightlife. The Acropolis metro station provides quick access to other areas including the Athens International Airport, the Port of Piraeus and the Railway Station. The House of Parliament, the National Garden etc are only a small walk away.
