We are fortunate to 'Live Aloha' everyday here in Maui and our goal is for our guests to 'Live Aloha' while they are visiting. Whether it's just another trip to Maui or the only trip you'll ever take to Maui, our mission is to make it special. Here's how we do that:

1) Check-in: We greet you upon your arrival at the Resort and personally check you into your suite. We show you where things are located within the Resort and also escort you to your room. In addition, we're there to show you where to register your car and where to park.(We don't have you pick up a key and then fend for yourself. (The front desk here does not check in VRBO guests.)

2) Service: We present each guest with a Welcome Aloha Package which includes a box of Maui chocolates, a bag of 100% Maui Grown Coffee, Aveda soaps, shampoo and a bottle of chilled champagne.

We also provide beach chairs and towels, boogie boards (good ones, not those Styrofoam ones), binoculars to watch the whales, free local and long distance calls to the Mainland U.S. and Canada, free wi-fi internet and the cleanest room at the Resort.

We are at the Resort all the time and live only 5 minutes up the street, so if anything should require our attention we are quick to respond.

3) Location: Our unit looks over the palm trees not thru them. Our Studio is 595 sf and located in the inner courtyard. With us you rent unit 623, you don't rent a category and find out what you get when you arrive at the front desk. With us you get actual pictures of the unit and the actual view from the unit. We don't zoom in with our photos.

Please compare to 1 bedroom units, there is only one stack of 1 bedroom units. (700 sf)in the inner courtyard in either building.

4) Price: We offer the most competitive price. Some units may be a little less expensive, but you will not have the location or the view or the service.

Other things to consider:

-25% TO 35% OFF RESORT MANAGEMENT RATES and all the SERVICE you'll need for a great getaway.

-No worrying about when the maid service is going to interrupt your day.

-We personally supervise the cleaning of this unit.

-Use of swimming pool, exercise room, concierge service, bell and valet service and

activities desk.

-The Staff at Honua Kai will treat you like your sitting in the first class cabin.

-Charge all resort costs on your credit card.

HONUA KAI- 'Honua' is translated from Hawaiian as the planet earth; it can also denote firm, stable ground.'Kai' is the South Pacific Ocean as seen from the shores of Kaanapali disappearing beyond the horizon, past Molokai and Lanai, and into what ancient Hawaiians called the 'Great Sea of Eternity'

-Wood base boards, window trim and door casings throughout.

-Tile flooring in entry way, kitchen and bathroom.

-Granite slab counter tops in kitchen with full height tile back splash

-Frameless glass shower enclosure.

-Crown Molding in the living area.

-Ceiling fan in living area, as well as, air conditioning

-Large custom glass doors to lanai to maximize views and natural light.

-Washer and Dryer in the unit.

Parking is free for 2017, however that is subject to change for 2018.

Check Out 11 a.m.

We will accommodate early check-in or late check out when the schedule allows. We understand that many flights arrive late morning and that many flights depart late at night. We were regulars on that red eye to San Francisco.

Awesome location

We have stayed at the Honua Kai 4 times, each time is just as great as the last one. The resort is in a great area and lots of beach to walk. The unit is clean, well kept and just as the pictures show. On our arrival to Maui, Joe kept in contact every step of the way, even while we were getting our rental car. We had a small issue with the dryer and it was fixed within the hour of us calling. Very professional~ The view is awesome! You can't go wrong renting this unit from Joe and his wife. We will rent again~~

Love Honua Kai and Maui

We recently stayed in this unit for our honeymoon and our first visit to Hawaii. The unit and the resort are both 5 star accommodations. The resort is convenient to anything you would want to do but removed just enough from the other resort areas to be very private and relaxing. The pictures represent the unit and the view perfectly. Joe met us when we checked in and showed us around. He actually text me prior to our arrival after we landed to check on our arrival time. Very personal service. The best part was on our last day there he was able to extend our check out time to allow us another day at the pool before our late flight left that night. Very impressive! The unit and the whole resort are immaculate and we absolutely had no complaints. Would definitely book from this owner and at this resort again.

I was very pleased with my stay with Joe and Rhonda. First off he is no nonsense and quick to provide support.

Joe had no silly rules, no silly expectations, just honest expectations and excellent support. I found him to be easy to get a hold of and flexible. If you are going to Honua Kai check Joe out FIRST!

Just returned from an amazing stay at the Honua Kai

Unit 623 was the perfect location for our stay in Maui. The unit was modern and clean with all the amenities of home to make our stay enjoyable. Little extras like the Hawaiian chocolates and bottle of champagne were the icing on the cake. Watching the beautiful sun rise and set from the lanai was amazing. The location of the unit is superb with direct ocean and pool views.

The Honua Kai is an environmentally friendly building with recycling for bottles, paper and glass on each floor.

Rhonda answered all my pre arrival questions promptly and Joe met us at the front door of the resort and escorted us to the unit. Both were super helpful and friendly and made my first VRBO experience a breeze.

I would certainly recommend this property to a friend or relative and hope visit again someday.

Another Fabulous Stay at the Honua Kai

This was our 3rd stay at the Honua Kai and staying in this unit was our favorite location at this resort yet! The views off the lanai are truly wonderful--especially to watch the spectacular Maui sunsets. Working with the owners was very easy and smooth and their condo is equipped with everything you need to make yourself at home and truly enjoy all that the Honua Kai and surrounding area has to offer. We hope to stay here again on a future trip to Maui because it really is a gem of a condo! Mahalo to the owners for sharing their home with us for a glorious week of "fun in the sun"!
