This charming and inviting cabin is filled with hospitality, and all the features you need to make your log cabin experience a delight! The cabin has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed; one full bathroom; an attractive living room with a new high-efficiency woodstove and the most comfy sofas you’ve ever sat (or snoozed) on; a dining room, and a full kitchen. The cabin can sleep up to six, by using our new and very restful inflatable bed. At just under 1000 sq feet in size, this log cabin has a great layout and feels much more spacious than its size. It has been updated, and is well equipped for a relaxing, care-free stay. It also boasts a great wrap-around deck for unwinding and enjoying the view. Located in Southern Utah, near Duck Creek Village, the cabin is situated on a one-half acre view lot on a road with minimal traffic and good privacy. The cabin has year-round access, so you can enjoy the wonders of Southern Utah any time of year! Outdoor activities abound in the area - See below.

Please note: The cabin can sleep up to six, using our comfortable inflatable bed. However, it is best suited for 2 to 4 people - two couples, or a family of four, etc. The cabin has a six person maximum unless approved by owner. A per person charge may apply.

Clean, Cozy, Warm, Very Nice.

  • 5 of 5

Came to this cabin for a weekend in the snow with my Husband, Mother in law, and two children under two. The Cabin was so Cute. We enjoyed playing in the snow, right around the cabin, and played games, and watched movies inside around the warm fire. We had a great experience, staying here. Would love to come back!

Great cabin for a quiet getaway.

  • 5 of 5

My wife & I just completed a short stay at Jan & Jim's cabin for our anniversary weekend. We wanted a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy AND bring our dog along. Cabin was clean, comfortable, and in great shape. Had everything we needed. Wrap around deck with gates allowed our dog to hang outside without worrying about her wandering off to explore. Wood stove works almost too well, in that we loved having the fire going, but had to open the door at times because it warms so well. Jan made sure everything was well communicated, and was very accommodating. We love the Duck Creek immediate area and it serves as a great base camp for so much of surrounding southern Utah beauty. Even in the Winter, the cabin was very accessible. While we brought all we needed for food & spices, we didn't need to as the kitchen is well stocked with spices, condiments, cooking utensils, and plates and glasses. The location is nice in that it's not so far into the Strawberry Point area that you have long drive off of the 14 to get to it, but is in the woods enough that it feels secluded. Perfect for 2 couples or for a family of 4-6. Would stay again without hesitation.

Wonderful cabin, fantastic hosts

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is exactly what we were looking for: comfortable, cozy, good location, kid-friendly, and great amenities. We were also blessed with wonderful hosts who overlooked no detail in making sure our experience was the best possible. The communication before and during our stay made the entire process stress free and our hosts went above and beyond what we expected.

We were lucky to find this cabin and owe the owners a great deal of gratitude for making our holiday trip so special. We would definitely come back again and recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a place to relax while visiting or exploring southern Utah.

Just delightful!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was just right for three of us over a long holiday weekend. A great retreat from work to recharge in a comfy, rustic cabin. This cabin retains it's original charm while adding enough modern updates for comfort in any weather, a terrific kitchen for cooking, and a new bathroom. Would gladly visit again.

Amazing cabin in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

Our family wanted to take a quick getaway and found the perfect little cabin in Duck Creek! If I had a cabin, this is exactly what it would look like. Everything you could possibly need in one perfect cabin in the woods for my family of four and our dog. You will not be disappointed. The wood burning fireplace, quaint neighborhood, and wrap around porch with closing gates so our dog could hang outside while we were making dinner.....were some of our favorite things about the cabin. Jan and Jim were amazing and very easy to reach for any questions. We will definitely be back!

About Jan or Jim McDaniel, owners

This photo is of the owners, hiking in one of hundreds of slot canyons in Escalante-Grand Staircase National Monument, east of Bryce Canyon. We love this area and will never tire of exploring it. And there is no end to the wonders available to explore!

Why Jan or Jim McDaniel, owners chose Duck Creek Village

We have visited and enjoyed many of our nation's parks and wilderness areas. We think Southern Utah is one of the most beautiful areas in the country, with an array of what are some of the most beautiful and accessible national parks and monuments. We have been coming to the area for several years, drawn by the beauty and wide variety of outdoor activities. We finally decided we needed to own a little piece of this incredible place. With breathtaking natural wonders any way you drive, all within close proximity, you can't beat this location. If you love nature and experiencing the outdoors, as we do, you will be amazed at this part of southern Utah, and you will love our cozy and friendly cabin in Duck Creek.

What makes this cabin unique

There is something magical about this cabin. So many of our guests - and we ourselves - have said that the minute you walk into our cabin, you can feel it. Instant relaxation comes over you! And a feeling of warmth and coziness and welcome. Come experience it yourselves!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had SUCH a wonderful time here in your cabin. After a week here, we are really sad to leave. We enjoyed several day trips to the surrounding areas, and the cabin proved a cozy and comfortable spot to come back to. We loved the winter snow, and have already been talking about a return trip here in the summer to do more hiking. We cannot thank you enough for your friendliness nd hospitality! This last seven days were AMAZING!

PLEASE NOTE on PRICE: The Homeaway/VRBO system is very awkward when it comes to how they show the price per night on the front page of our listing. Be aware! It can be inaccurate! The initial price should be shown as the "avg/night" - average price per night. Once you put in dates, it shows you your rate as price "per night". If you are booking a week or more, it will show your price per night, with the weekly "free night:" discount ALREADY BUILT IN. That is NOT the listed nightly rate, but the AVERAGE nightly cost with the discount already included. Please refer to the rates tab for details on the rates - it varies based on season, holidays, etc., also how many nights you are booking. Thanks for your patience with this system issue that HomeAway/VRBO has.
