Montreal Apartment Rental Photos and Description

1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, sleeps 2 to 4

Comfortable, well furnished, and efficient - this apartment is ideal for a couple or small family. Located in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood with groceries, restaurants, cafes, shops, and parks nearby. 15 min walk to Jean-Talon Market (Montreal's best public market). 5 min walk to a subway station for quick and easy access to downtown and other great Montreal neighborhoods and attractions.

Our Neighborhood - La Petite Patrie: Our apartment is on the second floor of a two-story house and has its own private entry. We are located on a quiet street lined with mature trees. This calm neighborhood is a nice change from the bustle and noise of downtown. You will enjoy walking and exploring the streets of 'Rosemont-La Petite Patrie' where you will see typical Montreal buildings with winding wrought-iron staircases. As you explore, why not stop for an espresso in Little Italy? Go for a stroll through the Market? Do a bit of shopping on Plaza St-Hubert? Or try a locally made beer at a micro-brewery pub? Past guests have said they enjoyed staying at our apartment because they feel they get to experience the 'real' Montreal, as opposed to seeing only the more 'touristy' side of the city. Come live the Montreal experience!

Getting Downtown - A Real Breeze!: Montreal is an easy city to get around in. The best ways are by public transit, or for the more adventurous traveler, by bicycle. If you choose public transit, there are a few ways to get downtown from our apartment. Either walk 5 minutes to the closest subway station (Metro Fabre - blue line), go one stop and transfer to the orange line which will take you downtown. If you prefer not to transfer lines (and explore the neighborhood a bit!), you can walk 15 minutes to Beaubien Metro on the orange line. Once on the orange line you will be downtown in about 10 minutes. Another very interesting option for getting around in spring, summer & fall is by bicycle. Montreal now has a self-serve bicycle rental service with stations throughout the city. This is the first service of its kind in North-America and is offered from May to November. A membership is $5 a day. See www.bixi.com for details.

What a wonderful little apartment in a great neighborhood. We very much appreciated our "home away from home" in order to tour the Montreal sites. Thank you!

Great get-away!

  • 5 of 5

We came to Montreal for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. This apartment did not disappoint! Very charming and comfortable and so close to many things to do. We took advantage of the great public transportation and used the rental bikes and the metro. There is also a lot within walking distance in this great neighborhood (don't miss the Jean-Talon market!). Nadia and Serge are excellent hosts, we would not hesitate to go back.

Cute and comfortable flat in a lovely neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

We came to Montreal for a conference, and chose to stay out in the city rather than in a Holiday Inn across the street form the Convention Center. It was the right choice! This flat is so lovely - it's perfect for a couple to have a very comfortable week's stay. We were able to find everything very easily, (we rented a car, although there is a metro stop not far), and the kitchen was perfect for making food from the supermarket around the corner. I wish that our trip was one of leisure more that business, but our short stay has convinced me that Montreal is a remarkable city and that I need to come back - and when I do I'll be sure and stay in Nadia and Serge's place!

True Montreal life!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at La Petite Patrie ticked all the boxes! Communication with Nadia was easy and quick. The unit itself was impeccably clean and had everything we needed to enjoy a week in Montreal. Location is fantastic! It is an easy walk to the Jean Talon market and there are lots of restaurants, cafes, stores, parks and a general ambiance that one could never find in a hotel! We enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching daily life in the lane. We cannot wait to return and we would recommend this rental in a heartbeat.

Thank you Nadia and Serge!

Very Nice Apartment

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is very clean and comfortable. We especially appreciated the notebook of recommendations. We ate at one of the recommended local Italian restaurants twice and had great meals. Because of the recommendation, we knew the restaurant allowed us to bring our own wine. It was nice to be able to pick out a Quebec wine at the market and have it served at the restaurant. We also became regulars at one of the recommended bakeries. We had fun chatting with the friendly staff and trying different pastries each morning. A couple of nights we arrived home too late to go out to eat, so it was convenient to have the a nearby IGA and the apartment's well supplied kitchen. The property owner was very prompt with all aspects of the rental, from responding to inquiries before we arrived to refunding the deposit. We would stay here again and we would recommend the apartment to others. Montreal is a beautiful city! The Jazz Festival (which included many free concerts) and the Montreal Completement Cirque (also had amazing, fun free events), and the Art Festival in the Village were fantastic. The Botanical Gardens and The Notre-Dame Basilica (and several other cathedrals we visited) , the Marche Jean-Talon and the Fine Arts Museum were spectacular. We rode the inexpensive Metro many times throughout the week and the longest wait we ever had was only 7 minutes. The 747 bus to the airport, included in the Metro pass, was a very hand way to get to and from the airport. We look forward to visiting Montreal again!

Pleasant stay despite cold and rainy weather

  • 5 of 5

We had a very comfortable 3-day stay in this nice and clean, conveniently located apartment. There is plenty of free parking on the quiet residential street, where it is located. Due to our busy schedule we didn't have enough time to enjoy the accommodations so thoughtfully prepared by the owners. Thank you again. We will be back!
