Another amazing week at the lake! We love coming here to spend time with our family! It's a great opportunity to get away from our daily hustle and bustle, but has the amenities we need to accommodate two unrelenting businessmen and four teenage boys! Thank you so much for opening up your home for people like us so we can truly experience the slice of heaven you have here. The memories we make here are ones we'll cherish for a lifetime and we hope our children will revisit with their children. Thanks from all of us
This home vacation can only be rated as exceptional. Although we were a bit nervous prior to going with myself(aka grandma) and family of nine, we all agreed it was our absolute favorite vacation. The home is finished with such attention to detail and warmth. We simply did not feel crowded at any point with a gourmet kitchen and every amenity keenly provided. The water toys were used by all ten of us at different times with follow up in the jacuzzi, sitting on the dock at sunset and listening to those ever present bird songs. Eagles soared by to grace our days. The home is perfectly situated in a cove without heavy boat traffic or wind. I will hold close the invaluable memories made as I watched all interact. Icing on the cake was my 15 year old granddaughter saying her favorite part was just talking without the cell phone. Smile. Most importantly, Susan brought a special dimension as such an intelligent and thoughtful soul, making sure our every need was met. Victoria. Carmel, Ca
What a view!! This was the second year we have stayed at Susan's house to celebrate the July 4th week. One other family has stayed with us and we meet up with 4 other Bozeman families who stay at cabins south of Harrison. There were 35 of us when we all got together with lots of kids, boats and water toys. The house is situated in a stunning location in the very private and secluded Powderhorn Bay making it ideal for fishing, surfing, tubing, jet-skiing and paddleboarding. We brought paddleboards with us and Susan had two more that are available to use. The dock is very nice and has a covered area for one boat and room to dock at least 2 more. It also has a big sunning area with loungers which was a great place for afternoon drinks or morning coffee. The outdoor living on this property is exquisite and very comfortable with several grassy areas for outdoor fun. The hot tub was a huge hit as we had several chilly evenings and early morning chats. The hummingbirds were entertaining every morning and put on a show for the early morning soakers! There is a fire pit and large tepee which made for toasty evenings around the campfire and our fill of s'mores. This immaculate, professionally designed lake house is beautiful and lives up to the photos and description. It totally exceeded our expectations and is really a little piece of paradise. The generously large kitchen encourages everyone to join in with cooking duties and clean up. It is stocked with every pot, pan, bowl, platter, utensil and spice that you will ever need on vacation. The bedrooms are comfortably sized and the master bedroom has a walk in closet and large bathroom with steam shower. From the moment we arrived at Susan's house we felt at home. She is so friendly and accommodating, always pleasant and smiling. We enjoyed visiting with her and she is a wealth of information on everything local. He trusty companion, Jack, is the most well behaved greeter you will ever encounter.
We have made awesome memories at the lake house on Powderhorn Bay and look forward to coming back again next year. The only reason we would ever NOT recommend this property would be so we could keep it for ourselves!! "Thank You" Susan for sharing your beautiful home with us and for owning the Best Vacation Place on the Lake!!
Our vacation could not have been more perfect! We stayed with 3 other families, and there was plenty of room and accommodations for all of us. The weather could not have been better for us! There was a little something for everyone...kayaking, paddle boarding, a huge dock to fish on or to enjoy your morning coffee, a larger than life teepee for the kids to play in, a hot tub with a beautiful view of the lake...the list goes on! The younger kids loved playing on the edge of the water where there is tons of grassy lawn. Not to mention the house is absolutely stunning, from top to bottom. We enjoyed winding down each night with a bonfire by the lake roasting marshmallows. Susan was more than accommodating to us and such a friendly face to see in the mornings. The house is situated in a bay on the lake and the water is incredibly calm and perfect for taking the boat out to wakeboard or go tubing. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay on the lake. We can't wait to go back someday! Thank you Susan for making our stay everything we dreamed of!
Upon our arrival we were greeted by Susan the owner of this exceptional property! She showed us around and gave us all the information we needed to become acquainted with our new enviroment. Yes, we all thought we died and went to heaven.... unfortunately, it only lasted a week. This home was designed and built by Susan's husband, Brian, what a talented guy. They have both made this house a warm and inviting home. It has a rustic elegance that will make you feel completely comfortable and at the same time will give you the feeling you're staying at a 5 star resort. The kitchen is equipped with gourmet appliances and every modern convenience. The views from every room are breathtaking and each room is beautifully furnished. The deck is beautifully laid our with an amazing water feature, bbq and enough table and chairs to accommodate our large group. We also experienced some fantastic sunsets on that deck. There's a hot tub and plenty of chaise's to make everyone comfortable. We spent a great deal of our time on the private dock where we tied up our boats. We enjoyed, skiing, tubing and just hanging out. The property has a large tipi and a fire pit where we enjoyed making s'mores and just visiting. It's not often that our whole family is able to get together and just enjoy each other's company. We had every intention of taking advantage of the local attractions, but honestly, we just couldn't bring ourselves to venture out...........we were having too much fun. The owner, Susan, is awesome and couldn't have been more helpful. We miss you Susan!! On the day we were leaving we asked our grandkids if they wanted to return next year to Lake Coeur d'Alene and they had one stipulation " we only want to come back if we can stay here"!! I couldn't have said it better myself!
We were planning a family reunion get-together in the Coeur d'Alene area. After viewing the photos and reading some other reviews, we picked this home. Our interactions with the owner, Susan, were clear and easy. The property looked terrific on the internet.
When we got there, we were overjoyed with our choice - a gorgeous house with no nearby neighbors on a secluded bay. This place has something to keep everyone relaxed and entertained - indoors and out. Inside, there were books on a wide range of topics, games & puzzles, audio, video, an amazingly well stocked kitchen, and bird feeders in full view from the bedroom and living areas. Outside, there were wonderful views and scenery, kayaks and a row boat, lounging on the patios or the dock, swimming, fishing, bird watching, a hot tub, a tipi, a fire ring for evening s'mores, and beautiful grounds to stroll. Nearby were trails for jogging and bicycling.
We saw Bald Eagles several times, lots of Ospreys in the nearby area of Harrison, a young moose swim across the bay and back, and several spectacular sunsets. Took lots of photos - thank goodness for digital photography. Everyone had a great time, and the reunion was a success.
The gracious and friendly owner and host, Susan, was nearby on the large property to help with anything we needed, which wasn't much. We don't usually write reviews, but this place deserves a good one. If we ever go back to Coeur d'Alene, we'll stay here again.

We had a birthday (75th!) for my mom and had extended family visit this incredible house and location for about a week. This house is so well thought-out and built it amazed everyone. The stairs don't even creak... The plantings, birds (dozens of hummers emptying the feeders every day or two), furnishings, artwork, book collection, dock, beautiful rowing skiff, kayaks, fishing, kitchen, teepee, fire pit, privacy, moose swimming across the bay, hot tub, patio furniture, thunderstorms, sunsets, on and on. What a paradise! Susan was a great help and joined in when invited - and kept scarce when folks were doing their own things. I think we all muttered under our breaths - or aloud- that we could live there forever.... This is the nicest place I have ever stayed.
