Such a charming camp, and so well equipped! We loved it, and spent most of our time reading and relaxing on the porch. We loved the seclusion, the quiet lake (a wonderful surprise) and the beautiful full moon. The dinghy is a fabulous addition! Thanks so much!

Magical Stay at Sebago Lake!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had simply the most wonderful time at Adele's cottage. It was friendly, cozy and immaculate. The property itself is just magical, whatever time of day whether morning noon or night- the lake is clear and clean and we took such refreshing swim's off the dock to the floating island. My husband had a great time fishing (he also did a fishing charter which he loved, he had never caught land locked salmon before and it was delicious!). The sunsets are incredible and on our final night the moon glistening off the lake as we listened to the call of the loons and that was just incredible. The cottage is so clean and so well equipped, we cooked in every night and roasted s'mores over the fire pit with the children. Everyone in the area was so incredibly friendly and the lake is spectacular, combined with the perfect living accommodation's (and weather!!!) we had the perfect stay. We can't say enough good things, and can't wait to return to this charming cottage. Thanks Adele for being such a wonderful hostess!

Just beautiful

  • 5 of 5

We were 2 families of 8 including 2 small children and stayed here for 7 nights to finish off a wonderful holiday in the USA. The cottage was very well equipped and having a washing machine and dryer was a must with the children. The open fire made the place extremely cosy and we used it every night. The children had fun exploring and the staircases were a big hit. Adele was a great host and very helpful on arrival and was only a phone call away if needed. We loved relaxing on the porch admiring the stunning scenery. We had family and friends visit on several occasions and there was plenty of room for everybody and they all loved the cottage. Thank you Adele and Mac for making our stay in your wonderful cottage a most memorable one. Would love to come back again one day.

A perfect Maine experience

  • 5 of 5

I love Maine and this cottage made our stay perfect. The cottage is clean and well equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the location is private. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Having Adele next door is a nice feature. She welcomed us our first day, showed us around, and left us to our vacation. She is a good neighbor - and we knew we could call on her if needed.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. We loved the fireplace, the screen porch, and the dock. Cannot wait to return for another visit!

Wonderful, charming cottage with great views

  • 5 of 5

My family booked this cottage for a week in June and had the most wonderful time. We had mostly teens and pre-teens with us and there was plenty of room for them to spread out. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the lake - just so beautiful. We had brought kayaks and made great use of the dock to launch from. The kids made the swim from the dock to the floating deck many times and thought it was great fun. The kitchen has any thing you could possibly want. We loved the fireplace and used it a couple of cool evenings. The fire made the cozy living room even more delightful. There's also a great spot for campfires right at the lakeside and the kids made s'mores 2 of the evenings. The hosts are right next door if you need anything and know the area well. When we walked in my first reaction is that the cottage was even nicer than the photos, well decorate and immaculately clean. We really couldn't have hoped for more.

Peaceful, relaxing stay at this charming cottage

  • 5 of 5

We just returned home to SC from one of the most relaxing and peaceful vacations I've taken in quite a long time. Morningside cottage is all it's advertised to be - a cozy, charming, rustic cottage, super clean, and equipped with everything you'll need and more, to enjoy a wonderful lakeside vacation. We really enjoyed the full front, screened-in porch, and spent most mornings out there, coffee cup in hand. A special treat was the song of the loons on the lake, which we heard on a few occasions and was an added bonus! There was plenty of firewood to use, for both the inside fireplace as well as the outside firepit. As stated in the description, the cottage isn't handicap friendly, as there are some narrow and rather steep stairways leading to a couple of the bedrooms, but that was not an issue for our particular family. We even took out the small dinghy and kayak, which are both made available for guests, and had a great time, paddling around the scenic cove. Adele and Mac are very personable and sweet folks, and they were responsive to anything that we needed, but we never saw them during our stay unless they were called upon for assistance. They really value and respect their guests' privacy. The cottage is only about a mile from Nason's, a nice sandy beach, and about a 10 minute drive to scenic Naples, where we took a wonderful Songo River Queen lake cruise! I miss the cottage already, and hope to return to Morningside again soon. I would strongly recommend this cottage for your next lakeside vacation!

Sebago Lake, Maine's second largest and home of the landlocked salmon, is at the center of a popular vacation area situated approximately 40 minutes from Portland International Airport and the ocean beaches of Southern Maine and about an hour from Freeport and its many shopping outlets. This pristine, deep and picturesque lake provides ample opportunites for all water sports and fishing. One sees loons and other birds, including nesting eagles on a nearby island. North Sebago is located on the quieter, western side of the lake, 6 miles from the recreational town of Naples, with its golf courses, restaurants, antique shops and more. Deertrees, one of New England's oldest summer theaters, is located in nearby Harrison.
