Relaxing Cottage on Arbutus Lake - Great Fishing & Swimming!

Bedrooms 2
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 1 - 4 nights

About the property

2 Bdrm, 1 Bath, Lake Front/View Cottage - Minutes from Downtown Traverse City

About 7 miles south of Traverse City just off Garfield Road. We are north of Kingsley, on the south end Arbutus Lake. Other cottages are available so please call or email us - check out our other property #140019 on HomeAway.

This property was remodeled in 2009 and now has many comforts of home. It accommodates 4 to 6 people. The lake property has 400 ft. of private beach with a sandy bottom, two rafts and buoys, four 30-ft docks, children's playground, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, barbecue gas grills and fire pits.

If you are boating and/or fishing, the resort features a large boat house with private secured lockers, a screened-in fish-cleaning house with running water and a boat launch.

This is also a great location if you are planning to take a fall color tour so don't limit yourself just to summer!

Small pets are considered and renters are asked to clean up after them. The resort is not handicap accessible.

The heated vacation cottage has a newer interior, full kitchen with microwave, dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker and toaster. Bed linens and towels are not provided, however bedspreads, pillows and blankets are in the cottage.

The resort and cottage is secluded and quiet, located on wooded Arbutus Lake. Water recreation includes swimming, trophy fishing (small and large mouth bass, blue gill, perch, pike and crappie), boating and water-skiing. Nearby recreation includes golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding and shopping.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for letting us rent your beautiful cottage, the location

was amazing and more than I expected. We really had a great time, I did go

up and take a peak at your other property and would probably be interested

in renting that one next time just because of the size difference of the

living room, bathroom, but overall we had such a great time and I could

tell you guys put alot of love and caring into your properties, thanks

Very nice cabin and the area is beautiful

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is really nice and I loved the enclosed porch. It is really close to the beach and boat dock. It is nice having the outside area with the fire pit also. I hope to come back very soon.

Our family loved our stay. The cottage was clean and well-maintained and had beautiful views of the lake across the street. We will definitely be back!

The cottage was clean, well- maintained and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was even better than we had anticipated. We have rented several cottages on Arbutus Lake. All of them have been good but this one was the best. It is well equipped, well maintained and all of the furniture is comfortable. In addition, the view from the porch is outstanding.

We always enjoy staying at Scott & Crystals cabin!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very nice and clean. We always enjoy noticing the little things they add each year. This year a magnetic rack to hold your dish towel, a little basket to keep the lids for the leftover dishes, and a 3 dimensional Michigan picture on the wall. We enjoy grilling a lot and used the rest of the gas in our tank and the other one was empty. I hated leaving it like that for the next person but my husband ended up in ER Friday with kidney stones. We will definitely rebook for next year.

Cute and cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed for an October wedding weekend and couldn't have been more pleased. The cottage was very clean and appeared just as described. The access to the kayaks and rowboat were a plus, and the neighbors were friendly and accepting. We enjoyed the 3 seasons room off the front of the cottage to watch the beautiful sunrises and the serenity of the lake. Communication with the owners was easy and all questions were answered promptly. Thank you for a great stay!
