About the property

Ocean breeze constant on any of the three balconies. Four bedrooms and elevator

The views are simply breathtaking. No matter where you are on the balconies you will see unbelievable beauty. This area is surrounded by parks, great food and activities that you will not have enough time to enjoy. So many species of fish are right in front of my home. If you love to fish, surf, para sail, collect shells, sun bathe, swim or just lay on a beach chair, Flagler Beach is the place to be. You will want to travel to Daytona Beach to see the speedway or maybe St. Augustine, the oldest city in the USA. Either one you choose is only 30 minutes away from your vacation home. Don't forget Disney is no more than 1 hour away, maybe a little longer depending on the theme park. Aquariums is must stop for the kids. Marine-Land is only 15 minutes away. It is considered to be one of the best in our country. Learn about our local whales, yes we have these awesome visitors often. If you are lucky you may see the Right Whale give birth in Flagler Beach itself. What a sight !!!

About The Owner

I am still working full time in N.J. My intention was to retire in pristine Flagler Beach.

Situations change sometimes so for now I decided to become a legal short term landlord in paradise. My home is furnished with higher end furniture as my intention was to move in. You will soon discover the furnishings are not the typical type one would purchase to rent. Lazy boy sofas and chairs, higher end mattresses and all stainless steel appliances. I do visit my home monthly so I am still extremely involved and enjoying the fine weather, great food and unbelievable views. The fishing is spectacular.

The Owner purchased this house in 2008

Why The Owner chose Florida Central Atlantic Coast

I wanted Old Florida. After years of traveling Florida I was about to give up. One day I decided to explore northeast Florida and what a discovery it was. I searched for a lot with the most palm trees in front and built my dream home. My dream came true.

What makes this house unique

Two hour flight I am in a different world.

My own beach.

Serenity and reflection.

The love of nature and wildlife.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Rich,

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in your home at Flagler Beach. Your home is beautiful, the weather was good, and the waves on the beach were up which pleased the kids. Lots of fishing and lots of beach time for the our kids and grandkids. I'm not much of a "beach guy" myself but I enjoyed kicking back and getting in plenty of reading while we were there. We made several excursions to see Fort Matanzas and on up to St. Augustine as well as the restaurant scene around Flagler. I especially appreciated Jill's attentiveness and promptness in attending to the air conditioning problem we experienced on the the top floor. The repairman was out to check things within an hour after I notified her that it wasn't working properly. Evidently it was only a minor adjustment as it was working fine in a short time. Jill also made a point of alerting me as soon as possible that my granddaughter had left behind a (special) blanket and kindly returned it to me. Thanks also for the complimentary pastries and the coupon for the bakery and restaurant where Linda and I enjoyed breakfast on our last full day. We will certainly keep your home in mind when planning future vacations in its part of Florida.

I am glad you were pleased with how we left the home. We always make every effort to treat wherever we stay as if it were our own.

Take care and our best wishes to you and your family.

Sincerely,

Eric and Linda

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. They actually do mean so much to the entire team that makes this possible. Kristine is the one who keeps my home looking like new all the time and Jill is my manager and the welcoming committee, liaison, tax payer, troubleshooter and more. I would be in deep trouble without those two very special ladies...the heart of it all. Thanks.

Great family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Richard,

We had a great time at both your home and at Flagler beach. Your home is exceptional, we all were impressed. We liked the fact that Flagler is relatively quiet and not commercialized. We ate out several nights and were very pleased with the local restaurants, especially the Flagler Fish Co restaurant.

We took day trips to both St Augustine and Daytona. St Augustine was our favorite, very nice. We took an afternoon and rented a pontoon boat and toured the intercostal waters. We saw lots of Dolphins in the intercostal waters, very enjoyable especially for the kids.

Beyond that, we enjoyed the beach and were sad we had to leave. Hope we can return some time.

Thanks, the Keller family.

Owner's Response: I am so very thankful that you had a great time at both my home and at Flagler Beach. Telling me that my home is exceptional and that you all were impressed is a remarkable compliment. Thank you. My team makes that all happen. Isn't Flagler so quiet and laid back? Clear water, pristine beaches. Just great. A blessing for sure. I too love St Augustine but not so much Daytona. Taking an afternoon and renting a pontoon boat and tour the intercostal waters is a remarkable idea. I can't believe that I never did that after all these years. ...but I will!!! Seeing dolphins on the intercostal is very enjoyable, not just for kids.. Hope you and the family can return someday.

Great beach house with easy access to the beach

  • 5 of 5

The beach house met all our expectations and then some. Very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. My entire family, children and grandchildren, were there. The balconies added wonderful outdoor spaces. Flagler beach was easily accessed via the private walk over. Jill quickly addressed Air conditioner issue to ensure comfort. I would definitely recommend..

Owner's Response: Thank you so much Rose. I am thrilled that you had a great time and my home met all of your expectations. This is a wonderful compliment and trust me.... I appreciate it. It is so much work but now that we have over 100 reviews all with 5 stars I guess we got it down, but we will never loosen up. Our goal is to get 200 five star reviews. We are not perfect but wanting to be as close to it as possible keeps us sharp. Our vacationer is worth it. Time off is rare and precious and I know that. I will continue to deliver the highest quality service as long as I am the owner. Come again.

Owner's Response: "Don't think twice about renting" my home is one thing but to want to add "five more stars" is the highest and best compliment we have had so far. Thanks Dave for your most encouraging words. I am speechless as I write this response. We do everything in our power to make it beyond perfect. We have not reached perfection yet in my opinion, but we do have 99 reviews all 5 stars. I guess we as close as one could get. Blessings to all and come back.

Wonderful vacation! May 6 - 13, 2017

  • 5 of 5

Rich, thank you for renting your beautiful house. Truly a gorgeous home! My husband and I, our son, daughter in law and three grandsons enjoyed it immensely. The first week of May was perfect weather, and we even had a full moon over the ocean! We appreciated the paper products supplied in the house, such a nice touch, including the coffee! We spent lots of time on the beach, collecting shells, swimming in the ocean and the private wooden stairway was a bonus! Your home is the most beautiful one in the area, the two balconies are charming and a relaxing place to sit watching the dolphins or just staring at the ocean! We will definitely be back!

Owner's Response: It was my pleasure having you and your family. We take great pride, (and its fun) spoiling our vacationers. Everyone loves the free coffee, filters, paper towels, dish and clothing detergents, spices and more. You are worth it. When you can escape Canada again come back to your new spot in old Florida, Flagler Beach. Blessings Rich, Jill, Kristine

Amazing home on a gorgeous beach!!!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Rich's beautiful beach home.

The house is terrific and was the 1st VRBO rental where we actually felt like we were staying in a home. It was immaculately cleaned and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and we found that there was ample room for our family of seven.

Flagler Beach is one of our favorites. The waves are great and we spent time on boogie boards every day. In the garage, Rich has everything you need for a day at the beach- chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, boogie boards and fishing poles. The path to the beach and crossover deck are private and close which makes for a very short walk to the beach. We found that we had the beach pretty much to ourselves as it is not crowded at all.

We ate out once per day and really enjoyed The Funky Pelican, The Golden Lion, Swillerbees and Snack Jack. We spent one day in St. Augustine and had a great time eating lunch at Salt Life.

We highly recommend working with Rich, Jill and Kristine! They worked very hard to make sure that we had a great vacation and we are so thankful for our time there!

Owner's Response: I am thrilled that you enjoyed your stay. We try hard to make our home feel like you are at home. We take great pride in keeping my home immaculate inside and out.....always, and believe me, that is a job that Kristine takes great pride in and it shows. The kitchen is always well stocked with paper towels, coffee, filters, detergents and more just for our vacationers to use sand enjoy. Flagler Beach is pristine, quiet and the beach is often, if not always, all for just your family as you noticed. You were actually the first family to use the new dune crossover. The last one was destroyed in the Hurricane in October. It was three months old. It took 6 months to rebuild but it is new again. The views are breathtaking and I personally never get tired of listening to the waves. Welcome back. Blessings to all from .... The crew in Flagler and the ranch
