About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Elk Spring Cabin is a secluded mountain getaway! You can feel completely isolated with no other homes in view. It sits on a hill overlooking the spring fed pond below with awesome Pike's Peak views as a backdrop. It is surrounded by pine and aspen trees on 35 fenced and gated acres. Although it feels remote, it is only 1 1/2 miles from US Hwy 24 on a well maintained County Road and only 30 minutes to Colorado Springs or Cripple Creek and very convenient to all local attractions. You can hike the acreage or relax and enjoy the beautiful back deck and patio area. The views of Pikes Peak from the living room, both bedrooms and the back deck are spectacular and you may experience an occasional deer or elk that wander through the property. This cabin shares the same property with Mountain Sun Cabin yet they are not visible from each other. Both cabins can be rented together for larger groups.

After an exciting day of sightseeing, hiking, biking, rafting or shopping, relax in the Hot Tub, located off both bedrooms, perfect for stargazing. You can also sit in the warm Colorado sun on the Deck or Patio area. When it snows, you can bring cross country skis or use the provided selection of snowshoes and sleds to explore the property or many nearby trails. When you return, cozy up in front of the Stone Fireplace and watch it snow. You are sure to enjoy all of the conveniences of home including high speed Internet, large Flatscreen TV with BluRay DVD player and surround sound. This can all be enjoyed with the beauty, peace and serenity of the Rocky Mountains in this special home. The cabin is cozy and romantic for two, but large enough for the whole family.

Why Kyle, Brad and Laura Eicher chose Divide

We have lived in the area for many years and were fortunate to have found this piece of property. We have built both 'cabins' for friends and family to enjoy and have now extended this invitation to the general public to enjoy as we have.

What makes this cabin unique

This property offers so much, from hiking, bird watching, wildlife viewing to winter fun including sledding and snowshoeing. We do provide a selection of snowshoes and sleds for our guests to use. It also provides an opportunity to relax, sit on the deck and enjoy absolute solitude while drinking coffee, enjoying the visiting birds and hummingbirds, and basking in the warm sunshine with majestic Pike's Peak as a backdrop.

Peacefully wonderful as always

  • 5 of 5

As usual everything was better than advertised. The cabin was clean and well maintained, and was pleasantly secluded. It made a perfect environment for writing early in the week and relaxing later in the week when my wife joined me. This is my fourth time staying on this piece of property and it always amazes me. Cant wait to come back!

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for our honeymoon and can't wait to get back! Divide is the perfect town to stay in if your looking for best local small town experience. We felt it was centrally located to other towns and attractions but loved the seclusion. Seeing Pikes Peak out the living room window is great! We don't have that scenery in the Midwest lol. The cabin has everything you need plus more! Loved having the grill and full kitchen. We were able to cook breakfast every morning and even grilled ourselves a steak dinner one night. The hot tub is great! We loved relaxing in it every night under the Colorado moon and stars! One of favorite things about the cabin was the book that you could write about your trip. Reading about other peoples stay helped us pick local restuarants to try and attractions to see. We were able to see many animals out of the vaulted living room windows. We definitely can't wait to get back and are so glad we found this little gem of a cabin!

Secluded property, wonderfully maintained.

  • 5 of 5

It was better than we expected! We wanted quiet seclusion and we got it. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It snowed about 3 inches on Monday, but it was cleared off the same afternoon. Brad and Laura are great people and fun to talk to. We will definitely return.
