Moran House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Gorgeous views of Brevort Lake and exceptional accommodations are what you will get with this beautiful lakefront home.

Decorated with an Up North feel you will be able to relax and feel right at home. This lake front home has enough room for up to 11 people and the area has something for everyone.

There is a fire pit near the water, there is sand beach along the lakeshore and the lake has a sand bottom with a gradual taper to deep water as well. Brevort lake is a 4400 acre all sports lake surrounded by the Hiawatha National forest.

You are not far from I-75 or US-2 and it is a central location for day trips to Sault Ste. Marie, Tahquamenon Falls, Mackinac Island, Mackinaw city or the Pictured Rocks.

It is a perfect location for hiking, biking, fishing and outdoor lovers, North Country Trail access is right there and there are 1000' s of acres of State and Federal Forest right out your door.

If you are looking for quiet relaxation and a family friendly atmosphere this is the cottage for you. (You have to climb a flight of stairs because the home is on the 2nd story.)

About Jon

Front of rental from the lake

Jon purchased this house in 2004

Why Jon chose Michigan

I love the area and so do my grandchildren, I built this first and lived in it while I built a house next door.

What makes this house unique

All outdoor activities, we are at the end of a private road so there is virtually no traffic, and my grandkids can play without worring about them. We adjoin the Hiawatha national forest. I love the quietness and solitude!

Great time had by all!!

  • 5 of 5

Jon: Good morning. Just so you know I have been trying to submit my review of our stay at your home. For some reason the link keeps saying " We are sorry, there is an internal error, VRBO.

Either way just so you know everything was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Your home was beautiful in so many different ways and we were missing nothing. Once again I thank you very much for repairing our boat. My grandsons loved the time they had and I'm still not sure how I was able to get my wife and daughter to ever leave and come home. We would love to revisit at some point, but my wife and I already have a bucket list vacation we are planning for 2017 so it may be a couple years before we can swing it. Sincerely it was a great time had by all and we thank you. Bill.

Relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

Jon and his wife were very gracious and generous hosts. The cabin we stayed in was spotlessly clean, relaxing and held every accommodation we would need on our trip. Brevet Lake was stunning, and we were well supplied with kayaks, canoes and other fun amenities for outdoor and indoor activities.

Beautiful property! Extremely relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

We came to stay at the Eagle's nest with our kids and two other couples. There was plenty of room and the house is amazing! The lake is beautiful and my kiddos could swim right in front of the cabin because of the shallow sandy bottom. It is nice private place we were very secluded and were able to enjoy quiet bonfires lakeside in the evening. It will be a place that we come to year after year!!!

I would recommend this place to anyone! It is great!!!

Fantastic choice of a vacation cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! My family and I enjoyed our week of staying at the Eagle's Nest. It's hard to capture the beauty of this place in pictures. The setting is amazing and the cottage is beautiful and very well equipped. We are so glad that we chose this location. It was the perfect get-away to a quiet location where we could enjoy the beauty and each other's company. We enjoyed visiting in the area and simply hanging out at the cottage. Highly recommended!!

Memorial Day Weekend 2016

  • 5 of 5

My daughter booked the Eagle's Nest for us to meet up - we each live about 3 hours away, and we loved this lakefront gem! The house has windows facing the lake for a wonderful view! The house layout was great for the 7 of us with plenty of beds and 2 full bathrooms! The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils. We even got to use the gas grill to cook our burgers! The lake is shallow for a good ways for the kids to play in the water, but deep enough farther out for boating and fishing. It was very peaceful and the owner kindly met us on arrival and offered his services should we need anything. There are plenty of attractions near enough: Taquamanon Falls, Sault Ste. Marie, Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, St. Ignace.

Amazing view...

The pictures do not give this home justice. It is unique, right off the lake and truly unbelievable. Quick drive to St.Ignace and felt like home. Highly recommend to anyone looking!
