Our condo has been thoughtfully designed and professionally decorated with quality fixtures, furniture, bedding and utensils. It is updated yearly and has amenities most others do not. It was completely refreshed after Hurricane Ike as well. Our 1 bedroom condo is located three miles west of 61st Street, and is close to beautiful beaches. We welcome you to stay with us and visit historic Galveston Island. Make this your retreat for weekend getaways, spring and summer vacations or whenever you need a break!
Our condo is located on the Seawall, top floor, front section area location, with a fabulous view of the gulf, lake and the fishing pier! We just added new ceramic tile to the balcony floor which compliments our new railings and furniture.
We have a custom gourmet kitchen, fully renovated bathroom with a large shower with grab bars, a high riser toilet, high sink too! (This may not be suitable for small children). We strived to make this a couple's getaway & welcome our guests! .
Interior description: Our condo has been thoughtfully designed and professionally decorated with quality fixtures, furniture, bedding and utensils. The bathroom is handicap assist. There is a walk in shower with grab bars, a high riser toilet and high sink. For those who may have trouble sitting on the high stools at the counter, a bistro table with chairs has been provided. Or use it to just enjoy a meal on the balcony!
The kitchen has granite counter tops, self clean oven, microwave over the range, dishwasher, and refrigerator with ice maker. There is a stone backsplash and under cabinet lighting. All cabinetry is custom with many drawers instead of cabinets for ease of access. Some are even self closing! I have stocked the kitchen with quality cookware, utensils, and small appliances, toaster, blender, etc. We try to supply the extras for you.....dish washing liquid, dishwasher detergent, cleaning supplies, paper towels, dishtowels, as well as sugar, salt, pepper and spices.
Interior and Exterior description: The master bedroom has a queen size bed with 'Almost Down' type pillows. There are also an array of pillows just in case you have a preference. The lamps have decorative rattan shades. Ceiling fan, TV, clock, hangers, and a full size dresser and closet.
The bunk bed area present in most condos was changed in ours. This is now an excellent storage space for suitcases, cases of drinks, etc. The living room has a new (April 2014) custom sofa (not for sleeping) with high end designer Ikhat fabric. There is a floor lamp, flat screen tv with DVD player, CD player, books, games, magazines, a bistro set, & reading chair. There are 3 bar stools too.
Our balcony has a full set of comfortable furniture.. Being on the top floor gives a fabulous view of the gulf with shade in the afternoons and evenings. Enjoy watching the fishing boats & dolphins! We also have a drying rack for wet suits and towels
Additional notes : We limit occupancy to 2 guests but may make exceptions sometimes for 3 guests max. This includes children and babies. Our goal is to share our condo, not have it as a supermarket style rental unit. By doing this, we are able to maintain it to our level of quality, condition, and do not hesitate to supply it with brand name and top quality items. Please note, the condo IS NOT childproof and it is on the top floor. There are breakable items as well as high sinks with custom cabinetry which CAN NOT be climbed on. Pac and play style cribs inhibit walking paths within the condo and could present a safety issue. Beds do not have waterproof liners.
Although we are animal lovers, we do not allow pets of any kind or size. Sorry.
No smoking is permitted in the condo. We have a balcony with an ashtray for anyone who wishes to smoke. We ask that the sliding door be kept shut while smoking so odor does not come indoors.
We elect to not participate in online convenience booking through this website because we do not believe in our guests paying unnecessary additional charges.

Vince and I (Valerie) purchased our condo in May 2007. Growing up on the east coast, I spent every summer at the shore. After the kids finished their educations and left the nest, it was time to do something for us! After quite a bit of research, we decided on the Maravilla and our condo for the following reasons: 1. Location of the community - away from the crowds at 61st St 2. Location of the condo - 5 back from the front on the top floor, giving us a beautiful view of the gulf. Eastern exposure...sun in the morning, then shade on the balcony all afternoon! I like to read and this was a must! 3. Size - most one bedroom condos we saw at other communities were much smaller and I wanted a full kitchen too. 4. Friendliness of the staff and residents 5. Most condos we saw were so outdated or tired looking. We completely gutted and remodeled the entire condo making it our little paradise. No expense was spared in this endeavor. We also wanted to have a bathroom which would have the amenities most retired people are looking for. The bathroom not only looks great, but it fulfilled this requirement. BadaBeach is not just a property we rent, it is our getaway as well! I personally handle all inquries and have fun sharing our condo and getting to know each guest in the process. I strive to exceed expectations and am very pleased with our reviews
I just love the peace and quiet. I particularly enjoy relaxing on the balcony and reading a good book. There is so much to see from our vantage point on the top floor too! Binoculars are in the condo and I know everyone uses them too. There are fishing boats in the gulf, Scholes airport is diagonally behind us so it's fun to watch the planes taking off and landing. The pelicans fly by, the dolphins play in the gulf and quiet as it may be, there is always something to do!

A wonderful condo for two. Every thing is updated and clean and all essentials are provided. We did little cooking, but the kitchen was fully equipped- even to salt and pepper. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning and evenings looking at the Gulf. It was a very pleasant and relaxing experience from our first contact with Valarie. She provide alot of "what to do, where to go" information. This is a go back.
We spent three nights at this beautiful condo during July 4th weekend. It's located at the quieter end of Seawall Blvd. but
everything is just minutes away.
The unit was spotless and very tastefully decorated in colors of blue and green. Very serene. The balcony is furnished with comfortable lounge chairs and has an amazing view of the gulf!
This condo has everything you need for a relaxing, peaceful stay! Even the bed was comfortable with high quality linens. The complex has three pools and is two minutes away from pocket beach 1 (one), to the right just past Woody's. We had the beach, grassy dunes and all, to ourselves on July 4th weekend!!
The owner, Valerie, was a pleasure to work with! She was very accomodating and provided us with alot of info re: things to do and restaurants to try. We did walk to Jimmy's on the Pier. Good food and more amazing views.
Valerie cares about this beautiful condo and did everything to make our stay perfect!!!! Looking forward to renting again soon!!!
We had a wonderful time staying at this condo. It was very nice and clean. Everything was in such perfect placing. The view was gorgeous and it was nice sitting out on the balcony and watching the waves roll in and seeing everything going on around us. Not to mention the Hot tub there was amazing! Valerie was so wonderful to us and a huge help! Thank you Valerie for making this a wonderful honeymoon stay!!!!

My husband and I needed a weekend getaway and this place seemed perfect. I loved everything about this condo. Location, décor, cleanliness, etc.
I also loved talking with the owner. You can tell she truly cares about her property. She was quick to respond and answered any questions that we had. The pictures really don't do this place justice. It is absolutely adorable and completely stocked with whatever you may need. We will definitely be renting here again.
Just what we'd hoped for....a relaxing weekend for two away at the beach. Lovely balcony to sit and enjoy the view with a cup of coffee and a book, and very clean, well-decorated and well-equipped property. Wonderful 2 weeks in Galveston. Condo had all the amenities one would ever want! Quiet location, friendly staff and the view of the water was gorgeous!
We had the most restful, relaxing vacation ever. One MUST get up for the spectacular sunrise--WOW! We had great food--so many choices. Favorites: Fisherman's Wharf, Mario's (61 St), Rita's frozen custard, Jimmy's on the Pier,Fish Tales.Go to Moody Gardens (Rain Forest) Ferry (free) saw dolphins,
Tree sculpture tour, Off shore oil rig museum. So much more--You must come see for yourself!

There is lots to do on the island, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, Air Museum, Train Museum, Historic Home Tours, miniature golf, great restaurants, beaches, fishing, etc. Close to shopping, Wal-Mart, Krogers, Target, etc. A short drive to NASA, Gulf Greyhound Race Park, and, of course Houston!
