|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Past guests have been very happy with our home and return year after year. It is very welcoming and family friendly. It is also very easy to access and to find but offers complete privacy. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor with private access to bath, 2 bedrooms, bath and sitting room downstairs in the Bear's Den and a large master suite with sitting loft and large bath with whirlpool. There is also a full deck with birch Adirondack chairs and a grill. Folks can be grilling while some of you are enjoying a game of horseshoes! Within a few miles you will be able to swim, kayak (rentals at the beach) fish and play volleyball at the town beach at Lake Everest. The beach also has a wonderful toddler playground and a lifeguard on duty. You can hike, cross country ski and mountain bike on a new set of trails 1 mile from the house. You can also ski, or snowshoe and in the Fall ride the gondola to the top of the mountain for a feast of color you will never forget!
And, of course there is the village of Lake Placid with the Olympic venues, horse shows, great shopping and a great relaxing spot, The Cottage, on Mirror Lake. We have created many friends and family memories here at Innisfree (Yeats favorite place) and offer the same for you.
We built this house to spend time with our grandchildren and are willing to share with families appreciating their time together.
Joan Morris purchased this house in 2005
We love the Adirondacks and all it is has to offer. Innisfree is a haven for our family to come together and enjoy skiing, hiking, and the entirety of the Lake Placid region. We are confident you will relish your time here as we have since its construction in 2005.
The Adirondacks themselves constitute the breathtaking scenery that is ubiquitous in the area. The serene view of the peaks can be enjoyed over an Ubu Ale from the Lake Placid Brewery on Innisfree's deck. For the adventurous, the multitude of peaks,trails, and hikes in the region offer unparalleled views. Innisfree is a sanctuary that was built to reflect the atmosphere of the stunning area it inhabits.
