Old World Charm w/Contemporary Design-Hard Wood Floors-Wainschottin-Stainless Appliances. Located in one of Brooklyn's historic area known for its beautiful Brownstones and Great architectural structures. Just a 5 minute walk to the 'A' train. The 'A' train is just a 15 minute express ride to Manhattan. The apartment is in close proximity to Prospect Park, Brooklyn Academy Of Music (B.A.M), Atlantic Mall, Restoration Plaza and Barclay Center. The home of The Brooklyn Nets and one of the best entertainment centers in New York. There are plenty of local restaurants and late night stores in the area. The apartment is perfect for a couple, but can accommodate three close relatives or friends. It has one queens size bed and one futon (sofa bed). The futon is more comfortable for one person, but can sleep two small children. This is a private studio apartment that comes with everything you would expect to find in your home. Kitchen, bathroom, free wifi, cable TV and more. This is your 'Home away from home'.
This was an amazing place to stay to see New York. I could not have ask for a better more relaxed place to come back to after being in the city all day. John and his wife were very nice and answered every questioned I had and made us feel welcomed when we arrived. Bed was comfortable, the shower was roomy and always had hot water, and the kitchen had everything we need to make dinner at night. I will be back here again one day. You will love this place.
Purchased a week long subway pass for $32.00 p/ person. Used the pass from La Guardia AP. Navigated a few subway stops and arrived within four blocks of the apartment. Was met at the front door by John's daughters and shown around the apartment. Apartment was clean, with a little kitchen. The apartment could sleep four with the futon folded out, as we were only 3 ( 2 adults and 7yr old) there was plenty of room. The walk from the subway station to apartment was safe with plenty of other people moving about. The apartment was approximately 4 blocks for the A & C express subway station. The line took us each morning and night straight into Manhattan. approx 12 min ride. No issues with staying with here again, when visiting New York. There are several places to eat near by.
Although just minutes from the subway, and bustling shopping areas, the property is on a quiet street. Very cosy and just what we needed. A home from home. John and Kim were both very friendly and were unobtrusive but nearby to help with any questions on local area. I'd recommend getting the air train and subway (a line) from JFK airport. Literally few mins walk from subway. Again easy to get to Manhattan etc on subway. We was wary of the locals at first, not being from a city, but everyone we spoke to were helpful and friendly, and within a few days we felt right at home and already planning next trip there soon. Overall this is the perfect place to see New York's many sites, grab a coffee on way to subway and go anywhere in the city, or stay in after a long day shopping. Also recommend getting a $31 weekly metro card for subway. Will save more money.
John and Kim were a pleasure to deal with. Gave a full run through of the suite and was available for questions. Information book at entrance had all of the details of the rental plus neat tidbits like places to eat, how to get to the nearest train lines and tourists sites to see. Place was spacious and had all the things you would need in a rental.
A wonderful place to stay in Brooklyn! John and Kim were great hosts, and if you're looking to take walking trips in Brooklyn, it's a great location. Also close to the subway and restaurants. It was a heat wave while we were there, and the A/C worked wonderfully. The size of the place is perfect for a couple. We'd definitely stay here again!
A nice property excellent value short walk to subway with quick access to Manhattan. We were four Mum Dad 2 teenage children, the pull-out sofa bed really only sleeps one so John provide an air bed for my son. Area nice and we felt safe walking back from Nostrand Ave Subway late at night.
The Studio could do with a spruce up however it was clean and all the facilities you need are there. It is a little dark as it's a basement studio so pull the curtains right back and open the blinds to let the daylight in, we waited until our last morning to do this and it brightened the apartment. Ite a perfect apartment for 2 and poss 3 but 4 was a squeze. John was friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitates to stay again.
