Many thanks to all of the Brown family. We enjoyed the peaceful time we spent at your wonderful home. The beauty & craftsmanship of the cottage make it my favorite of places. The horse ride in the morning and the hike on the trail was a great blessing. Thanks again.

If you are looking for a place to relax and get a great feel for central Texas, this is your place. Rocking chairs on the porch over looking the pond with horses in the close distance made for a very lovely time.
This is a lovely cabin located in a beautiful area of the ranch overlooking a nice sized pond. A short walk gets you to the Brazos River complete with a large screened in pavilion and a large wooden deck overlooking the river. We met Curtis Brown and a few members of his family who were very nice and helpful. The only concern was a lack of water pressure and the shower water ran hot and cold. We should have talked to Curtis about it, so that was our fault, not his. (We were only staying two nights.) Be sure to visit the Homestead Craft Village located about a half mile from the ranch complete with a grist Mill, farm animals, delicious food at the Homestead Cafe and many other buildings housing a gift shop, a cheese making shop, blacksmith, wood making, basket weaving and textile shop. Overall, a fun experience and a picturesque setting!
The cabin is beautiful inside and out! The owner is friendly and accommodating. The kitchen is very well-equipped. We had a wonderful Easter break walking the trails and just sitting on the front porch watching a hawk in its nest.
We enjoyed staying in this home for 6 people. Lovely furnishings and well appointed kitchen. Do not expect wifi service, but that is something we wanted, to unwind from life!
We loved our stay! The house was beautiful and very clean! We would definitely stay again!!
