Perfect getaway condo!

  • 5 of 5

This condo was absolutely stunning and perfectly appointed as well as being EXACTLY as pictured! It was a treat for us to stay there this past weekend during the marathon. The neighborhood was terrific and quiet and well situated to get to either the bus or train and offered a variety of nearby small grocery stores to pick up those breakfast items that you might want to have on hand. The street itself is tree-lined and very pretty.

The condo itself (and the building) is in wonderful condition, very clean and with beautiful hardwood floors throughout, big windows to let the sunlight in, and an open floor plan with the huge kitchen, living room and dining room all together. The three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were spacious, impeccably maintained and nicely decorated and the washer/dryer was a bonus and tucked away at the back of the condo. This is a very spacious and open condo that exudes warmth and convenience.

The owner and the property manager were both very responsive, and the property manager, who lives on site, gave us a full tour and explanation of how everything in the condo worked and left us with a book of notes on local restaurants, transportation and how to check-out. We were given all the info. we needed to enjoy the privacy that the unit offered, but we knew that the property manager was there if we had additional questions. Ross was very nice and a wonderful host!

Wanted to give a shoutout to a local restaurant that was suggested as being very good: Bar Ombra, in the Andersonville neighborhood (closeby) was fabulous....the homemade pasta meals and the wood grilled chicken were to die for! We highly recommend enjoying dinner there!

Everyone in our group (two couples and our youngest adult daughter) truly enjoyed this unit, the area and the ability to relax and visit with each other, something we wouldn't have been able to do if we had stayed in a hotel room. We had a lovely time in this condo and wouldn't hesitate to rent here again.

Thank you for a wonderful weekend in Chicago!

Grandma, Sisters, and Cousins Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place for our weekend visit with our sister who lives in Rogers Park. Her place is too small for all of us, and the hotels in the area are pricey and not nearly as accommodating as the Tree Top rental was! Three adults and four kids fit comfortably and then some. The floor plan was warm and open. Everything we needed was available, and we were a close walk to the train for our adventures. Ross, the on site manager, was friendly and helpful. It was an overall positive experience!

Perfects lodging for Chicago vacation

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. My daughter and I were in town watch a couple of Cubs games. Public transportation (CTA) was very close. The bus and train terminal was less than a mile walk from the apartment. There is also a Jewel grocery, Walgreen's drugs, and restaurants within easy walking distance.

Building manager Ross was very friendly and accommodating. He got us checked in when we arrived and provided us with all the info we needed to get acquainted with the neighborhood.

I can recommend Residence on the Avenue without hesitation. I would definitely stay there again. Be sure to visit m.henry cafe and bakery on North Clark for breakfast or Sunday brunch.

Great for entertaining

  • 5 of 5

This unit has a wonderful kitchen, dining and living area. We had family from in town and out of town and there was plenty of room to enjoy out meals together

The unit sleeps up to eight with two bathrooms so planning for showers etc is important

Also the unit is three floors up without an elevator which we managed just fine--just helpful to know
