This beautiful, fully air conditioned, 1620 sq' Poipu Kai Regency condo is very spacious with two stories and an open loft that serves as a fourth bedroom. On the main floor is the master bedroom with a KING size bed, a large master bathroom, walk in shower, tub, closet, two sink vanity, TV and even a private lanai. There is a second bedroom with two twin beds (which can be made into a king size bed if desired) and a full bathroom. We have provided a stacked washer/dryer on this floor as well.

The kitchen, with granite counter tops, is very modern and is loaded with the newest appliances for your convenience. The living room has a large TV with cable, a DVD player and a surround sound stereo system for your enjoyment. The upstairs boasts the spacious loft area with a closet and two twin beds (can be made into a King sized bed) and a view of the downstairs living area. There is also a third private bedroom with a queen bed and TV as well as another full bathroom..

This condo is an upper unit so there is no noise to contend with. It is located in the Regency group of condos which have access to the private 3 pools, spas and BBQ areas (available only to Regency guests) should you desire to BBQ and lounge about. There is a beautiful walking path, with immaculately manicured trees, shrubs, and lawns that leads to the beach from the condo. This is a very pleasant 5 minute stroll. The beaches are very user friendly should you desire to snorkel, swim, or just lie out and catch up on your tan.

We own, rent and manage this condo ourselves as well as # 857718 ( the 2 units could be combined for larger groups)... and take great pride in offering you the best value in housing in the Poipu area for your dream vacation.

We had visited the different Hawaiian Islands over the past 15 or so years, and once we visited Kauai, there was no comparison as far as quietness, friendliness, and overall beauty of the beaches.

Everything about our vacation was perfect. We arrived rather late and when we arrived, Mike and Sheila, his housekeeper had the condo in perfect condition. It was cool as they had turned on the A/C, directions were spot on and when we woke in the AM, we were very surprised at how well stocked and clean it was.

We mingled with several other vacationers and all had problems with their lodging.

We were so grateful for our place.

Mike asked us to write about our experience; it just put the icing on the cake for our 40th anniversary, thank you again. We are planning on returning 2017 with our children.

I recommend watching the sun set each evening if to watch on the beach just down the walking path from the condo.

Great location, excellent downstairs, but the upstairs area is not great

We had a group of 7 people, which consisted of two couples & three single adults. This was my 4th visit to Kuaui (I also have stayed in Poipu all 4 times). I love Kauai and I especially love the Poipu area. This was my second time staying in a VRBO rental on the island. When looking for places, our requirement was to have 4 bedrooms. This place seemed like it would be a great fit because it has 3 full rooms plus a den.

The downstairs has two really nice rooms (including the master suite). The 2nd room downstairs has two twin beds (that can also be combined for one king). The kitchen/living area was great, very airy, and the deck offered a great place to sit & relax with our morning coffee. The unit also had quite a few beach toys, which makes it nice to not have to purchase items.

With that said, I believe the upstairs area was not represented correctly in the unit’s description. The den is completely out in the open. The two twin beds sit right on top of the stairs. You can see by the photos that this space is completely exposed on all sides. I expect a den to be open, but this den is so open, any one sleeping here will be awoken if other housemates do anything in the common areas (i.e., make coffee, wash a dish, run the microwave). Also, the den does not have any way to shield the light. There is one window that does face the beds, but there is no curtain. I think it is also important to note that this den would not be appropriate for a couple, as you have absolutely no privacy. I believe the only people who would feel comfortable in this den would be kids (which I see other reviewers did have).

Our biggest issue with this place was definitely the 4th bedroom. The 4th bedroom sits upstairs. You have to walk through the den, through a shared bathroom to get to this bedroom. So that means when you open your door to walk out in the morning, you are walking out to a bathroom. In addition, the 4th bedroom does not have windows, does not have a closet, nor did it have any drawers to put anything in. All it had was a bed with two night stands & the TV. The worst part is that the room has two small sun-lights (I assume without having windows, this is how this can legally be called a room). But in Hawaii, sun-lights in your bedroom means the room gets light at 5:30a. We were all early risers, but 5:30a was a little too early.

We overall rated this unit between 3 & 3.5 stars based on the description of what we thought we were getting.

Owner's Response: We enjoyed having Eric and his group stay at our condo. His complaint was that the upstairs was an open den suited for children and not happy with it for his group. Here is the first line of the condo's description, "This beautiful, fully air conditioned, 1620 sq' Poipu Kaui Regency condo is very spacious with two stories and an open loft that serves as a forth bedroom"....I believe this along with the pictures, pretty well shows and explains the bedroom far as the 4th upstairs bedroom configuration, there are 10 Regency buildings, each w/ 8 units/building (80 Units) each having this 4th bedroom upstairs...its just the way they were built and approved by the county of Kauai....I'm sorry he didn't like it. I highly encourage folks to call me personally and ask me detailed questions should they have any about the area, island or condo before booking.

We had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed our stay at the Condo

I have to admit at first glance I was very disappointed to see that the balcony showed in the picture actually sits above the parking lot. We are from Southern California and live outside. However, once I got inside my Disappointment was alleviated. The condo was bright and cheerful. The betting the dishes in the washer and dryer in the bathroom for all comfortable and lovely to use. The beaches were a little bit longer walks Than we had anticipated but we enjoyed the path down to them . We use the closet pills with each tile and chairs every day it was really nice to have all of those things. The kitchen was so functional and was stocked with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Our family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed their stay. We had plenty of space to come together as a group (living room, dining room and balcony) or retire to our private space (bedrooms). The complex was well kept, nice pools to lounge around and/or BBQ, and a very pleasant walk to the beach where we saw green turtles and monk seals every morning. The location was good with easy access to many fun activities: zip-lining, tubing, beaches, restaurants. Very much appreciated the beach gear we had access to: boogie board, chair, umbrella, cooler, towels. Hope to visit again as the island has so much to see!

Glad we stayed here!

4 adults, 2 children. Stay 14 days, May/June 2017. Very good location - quiet - away from the road, very close to 2 of the pools and grills. Easy walk to the beaches. Well stocked kitchen. Well stocked beach gear: beach towels, chairs, coolers, floaties, toys, etc. Great having 2 lanais - one off the master bedroom and one off the living. Had coffee every morning on the lanai. Perhaps the biggest plus was the air conditioning. This made a very big difference for sleeping and returning from a day at the beach. Mike, the owner, was very easy to deal with. All said, great unit and very, very glad we stayed here!

This is a lovely unit which will accommodate up to 8 people very comfortably.

My wife and I along with our son, daughter, daughter-in-law, and 18-year old grandson just spent a very enjoyable three sunny weeks in #820 at the Regency Poi'pu Kai. The unit has everything one needs for an easy stay. Although it does not have a view of the ocean, a very nice beach is an easy 5-10 minute walk away. The location is very attractively landscaped and the pools and spas on site are very nice and are equipped with gas BBQs. One pool includes a covered area adjacent to the BBQs if weather is threatening. The unit is very nicely located in relation to restaurants and other services in the Poi'pu area. Grocery shopping (along with other shops, restaurants, and galleries) is also available in the lovely little community of Keloa Town, a 10-minute drive away. This unit is a very good choice for a larger family or several couples looking for a nice accommodation in the Poi'pu area.
