Why The Owner chose South Lake Tahoe

Every year my wife Maria and I rent a home in South Lake Tahoe. December of 2008 was no exception. We found a home that looked great, and the owners assured use that we would not be disappointed. We were! Maria spent four hours cleaning their kitchen when we arrived. It had been previously “cleaned” by their service. There were three glasses in the entire home, and the toaster looked like it was from 1974 and had never been cleaned. The bed sheets were torn, and when I moved their sofa to place a small Christmas tree, I found an old piece of pizza on the floor. We had to call the owners for everything from extra towels to buying a new microwave. It was not enjoyable, and we had spent $3,500.00 of our hard-earned money for an eleven night stay. This was a pivotal turning point in our Tahoe rental experience, and we vowed to buy our own rental. A home in which someone could rent that would be clean, cozy, safe, and affordable. We did just that. Welcome to our home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for letting us rent your beautiful cabin. We were

> so happy to use your super clean, well stocked kitchen, and the

Cozy lil' cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My wife, daughter, puppy, and I LOVED this cozy little cabin! Yes, it is small, but it was PERFECT for us. When we arrived, the cabin was clean, the bathroom had everything you needed in case you forgot soap, toothpaste, mouthwash (thanks)! The kitchen had everything you need to cook and the grocery store was a few minutes away! Our daughter enjoyed having her own space up in the loft area and didn't mind the low ceiling. I definitely loved how dog friendly the cabin is- not many places are welcoming of pets. Thank you Michael and Maria!

Perfect Location and Great for Pets!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent just about two and a half weeks in this wonderful little cabin. It was perfect for the two of us and our dog. It had everything we could have possilby needed. We really enjoyed how close it was to downtown Heavenly Village as well as only being about 15 minutes from Sierra at Tahoe where we have season passes. Having a full kitchen was wonderful for the nights we wanted to cook in. Our trip was perfect and even though it was situated among other like cabins it felt very private. The cabin owners are very flexible and friendly as well! We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone that is looking for a pet friendly rental close to everything. We can't wait to come back!

Great setup, location, dog friendly

  • 5 of 5

Wife, dog and I spent a few nights in June. Perfect setup and location for us - very close to supermarket (less than a mile) and gateway to Hwy 89 -hiking, biking, beaches etc...Loved how the cabin was decorated with dog touches all over - kept seeing new pictures, figurines etc...even hooks to hang leash. The swing gate on the porch is a great idea too. I'd only been to Tahoe for winter skiing - never during warm months. I think there is alot more to do in summer than winter - definitely be back. Would not hesitate to stay here again!
