Tahoe Valley Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Our cedar cabin is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by similar cabins, also available for rentals.

We present a comfortable, clean, and cozy little home-away-from-home with all of the amenities. Bring Fido along and enjoy the local cross-country/snow-shoeing paths in wintertime and the myriad hiking trails in summertime. We offer our special 'dog-closet' with dog toys, bedding, extra bowls, collars, and leashes.

Grocery stores, video rentals, and shopping areas are located within walking distance. Relax at 'home', whip up a nice dinner in our fully-stocked kitchen, watch a DVD or play a game. Or just sneak up to the loft and read a book from our wide selection. When you're ready to downhill ski then Heavenly Resort is just 10 minutes away. Don't feel like driving? Then leave the car and Fido at home and catch the Blue-Go Tahoe bus line straight to Heavenly.

Why The Owner chose South Lake Tahoe

Every year my wife Maria and I rent a home in South Lake Tahoe. December of 2008 was no exception. We found a home that looked great, and the owners assured use that we would not be disappointed. We were! Maria spent four hours cleaning their kitchen when we arrived. It had been previously “cleaned” by their service. There were three glasses in the entire home, and the toaster looked like it was from 1974 and had never been cleaned. The bed sheets were torn, and when I moved their sofa to place a small Christmas tree, I found an old piece of pizza on the floor. We had to call the owners for everything from extra towels to buying a new microwave. It was not enjoyable, and we had spent $3,500.00 of our hard-earned money for an eleven night stay. This was a pivotal turning point in our Tahoe rental experience, and we vowed to buy our own rental. A home in which someone could rent that would be clean, cozy, safe, and affordable. We did just that. Welcome to our home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for letting us rent your beautiful cabin. We were

Great setup, location, dog friendly

  • 5 of 5

Wife, dog and I spent a few nights in June. Perfect setup and location for us - very close to supermarket (less than a mile) and gateway to Hwy 89 -hiking, biking, beaches etc...Loved how the cabin was decorated with dog touches all over - kept seeing new pictures, figurines etc...even hooks to hang leash. The swing gate on the porch is a great idea too. I'd only been to Tahoe for winter skiing - never during warm months. I think there is alot more to do in summer than winter - definitely be back. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Charming, cozy, delightful!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this cabin in mid-June with our 2-yr old son and our two small dogs. The cabin was quiet and peaceful, yet close to the commercial district and main road leading to the lake, and right across the street from a great pizza joint, so it was very convenient. It was surprisingly clean for being so dog-friendly! I wouldn't recommend it for families with a crawling baby (uneven staircase leading to the loft and not the cleanest living room carpet because of how dog-friendly the cabin is), but for two-year olds and up it was awesome - and for families with DOGS IT ROCKS! The loft was perfect for our son, he had a great time playing with the GIANT stuffed dog. The ceiling in the loft is LOW, but perfect for kids! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very well-equipped and functional, ceiling fans and heating worked great, and the house was welcoming and cheery without the usual Tahoe kitch (no bear decor!!!). Our dogs loved hanging out on the couch and bed (with a nice cover to keep things clean) and the small gated patio was excellent for when they had to be outdoors. Michael (the owner) was very helpful during the rental process, playing phone tag with me until we connected. We'll definitely be back!

Pet Friendly in South Lake Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

We spent three nights in this lovely cabin and look forward to the time we can return. We travel quite a bit and it is so wonderful to find a rental which actually welcomes pets! Our two small dogs felt right at home and particularly enjoyed walking in the wooded neighborhood. The cabin was clean, well appointed and close to major activities and attractions. It is ideal for a couple and has a loft which would certainly accommodate a couple of children.

We had no issues or problems with this cabin and would gladly stay again

I would NOT recommend staying here

  • 2 of 5

Michael and Maria are nice people, but I would not recommend staying here. I was very disappointed when I arrived at the cabin. There was a bag of garbage on the deck left over from the last renter. There were dog hair on the couch and dust on the floor. The hand soap in the bathroom and dish soap in the kitchen were empty. Also, the loft upstairs was FOUR FEET tall. I couldn't walk around.

Owner's Response: Maria and I are disappointed to say the least in your actions to publish an odd cabin review. We have been extremely kind to you by waiving your pet fee, allowing you to arrive early, and depart late, and even lowering your rent with a beautiful gesture of good will. We are sorry if the cabin was not up to your standards when you arrived, however, you should have called us to correct any problems that you were having at that time. Our house cleaner Remi, even met you and gave you her phone number, and told you to call her if you needed anything. You did not. We pride ourselves on an extremely clean/pet friendly cabin. We also treat all of our guests with kindness and respect. Something that you have not shown us. As for the height of the ceiling in the loft, I told you over the phone “The loft has a low ceiling” I told you that “children love it, and think of it as a fort“. This information is also common knowledge as it is posted by me on our web site, and by other reviewers. We firmly suggest that your approach to future "issues" that you will most likely encounter anywhere you may stay by directing these problems IMMEDIATLY to management so they may have a chance to correct them. Passive/aggressive behavior is not beneficial to anyone. Michael and Maria Accurso
