Family friendly farmhome
Wonderfully appointed, comfortable home with an attentive owner. My family of 3, parents and inlaws had a relaxing stay in Nov '17. The kitchen and dining room were perfect for our thanksgiving redux meals. Our 2 yr old loved hiking the property and walking down the road to see the cows. A day trip to the quaint town of margaretville to visit their shops was also a highlight. We will be back to enjoy a spring wknd in '18!
It was a beautiful home, very comfortable and warm atmosphere!! It was furnished with everything !!
I have rented countless homes over the years through VRBO and I have to say this is by far the cleanest house I have ever stayed in. It is clear that this home is lovingly maintained. The rooms are all large and well appointed. The bathrooms are well stocked with towels and travel-sized toiletries. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable. At 7 months pregnant, I had resigned myself to waking up with aches and pains, but instead I slept like a baby myself! What a pleasant surprise! The grounds are well manicured and private. The location of the property is great, we were 10 minutes away from the Inn at west Settlement for a close friends wedding, and also 10 minutes from town, where you can buy groceries etc.The owner is super attentive, easy to reach, and a pleasure to deal with. It's a shame we only stayed for 2 nights, but it was a nice, relaxing two nights. I would highly recommend staying here.
Unique, peaceful group getaway
This house was great for our group! We loved the quirky and fun design elements all around the home. Amy was easy to communicate with and quick to send along any information needed. The bucolic setting was the icing on the cake!
Fantastic! Care-free and relaxed
The property and scenery was beautiful. The house was great for a group of us to stay in- plenty of space and beds. Amy was incredible to work with- so clear, responsive, and accommodating!
Last Minute LUCKY skiers!
Amy and Family,
I just wanted to say thank you again for sharing your home with us. We had been looking for a place big enough for all of us (and the dog) the whole month of December, and I'm so glad we found you less than one week from our rental date!! The farm house was awesome. We loved the large, well stocked, open kitchen and gorgeous wide plank wood heated floors. So much charm in this house! There was enough room for 9 adults to hang out AND sleep comfortably. So much fun just hanging out with the kids/family. We played albums, games and completed puzzles together. The weather cooperated and Plattekill Mountain was perfect. No crowds there, easy on/off the ski lifts and accessible inside tables by a fire pit for the non skiers to hang out. Our kids skied for three days straight. The adults being able to use your vochures was an added bonus too! It snowed on Thursday and everything around the mountain and farm looked like a winter wonderland.
My family loved it. My sister's family loved it. It really couldn't have been any better. This place was so cozy and comfortable. If we decide to come back to NY next year, we'll definitely contact you. You should totally consider Airbnb if you don't use it already.
Thanks again for everything.
