In San Francisco's outer sunset district, directly across from the ocean, a cozy, peaceful one bedroom apartment with large deck and garden/yard. Perfect for surfers and beach lovers. Near Golden Gate Park, the Cliff House, the Zoo, restaurants and museums. Street parking and public transportation. Quiet and comfortable and nicely furnished. Owners live above, but apartment has private entrance. Great for kids being near Golden Gate Park, the Zoo and the beach.
Jon and Diane, husband and wife are in mid 60's, both working in San Francisco. Our 2 sons have moved away. We are friendly, helpful but not intrusive. We have lived here since 1981, rented the apartment for many years, but then used it for our sons, and are now ready to rent again. The bathroom and kitchen have been updated..
The Owner purchased this apartment in 1981
This rental unit is part of our home.it has its separate entrance.
Street parking, walks on the beach, bike riding, surfing, enjoying the park while being close to all that San Francisco has to offer.
Loved this place! The ocean was right across the street which had wonderful scenic views. Sunset views were breathtaking. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to be away from all the hussle and bustle of the tourist attractions. It only took about 30 minutes with traffic to get to Fisherman's Warf. The entire apartment was perfect for us. It was so cozy and peaceful. There is a park right down the street that is stunning and perfect for a tranquil walk. We are already planning our next trip!
My husband and I travel with our two small dogs and this place was perfect for all four of us. We loved being able to walk to the beach or to Golden Gate Park (about 5 blocks away). The weather was chilly, but Diane had 2 space heaters ready for us, so we were always warm and comfy. Diane recommended several places nearby (bakery, grocer, restaurant, etc) and we tried most of them... delish! We also found Polly Ann Ice Cream on Noriega, about a mile from the property and loved their quirky flavors. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.
This place is perfect. Its so cozy it has everything you need and it is right across the street from the beach! Diane is such a sweet lady and so inviting. I will definetly be going back, sf is great on its own but this house makes it even better.
Excellent! My husband and I were in San Francisco for a graduation. This beautiful apartment was a gem of a find. The owner was very easy to work with and the property was spotless. Everything we needed was there -- hair dryer, coffee pot, microwave. We wanted to cook out one evening and the owners let us borrow their grill, too. Parking was easy even with Bay to Breaker run happening Sunday. It is about 30 minutes from SFO, the zoo is just around the corner as is Golden Gate Park, and of course, the ocean is right across the street. Have already recommended to friends needing a place in SF. This is also probably the flattest area of SF which is important if you have difficulty walking. My husband had a broken foot on our trip so this was important.
My husband and I spent an April weekend in this lovely apartment just across from the beach. Our adult daughter spent one night with us and there was plenty of room for all of us. The apartment looks just like the photos, was very clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need. It was very quiet but so easy to access all that SF has to offer. The owner was available but non intrusive, and even left us vases of fresh cut flowers to enjoy! We definitely hope to stay here again and highly recommend this property.
I stayed here the last two weeks of December with my sister. The apartment is very comfortable and convenient to transportation. The owner is very nice and helpful but not obtrusive. I can't wait to come back in the Spring when the weather is better (it was rainy and cold). It definitely is the place to stay for 1-2 people. Thanks, Diane.
