The “Birds of Paradise” is a gated complex of 62 units, with a full time manager, maintenance staff, & 24 hr front gate staff. Common facilities include heated pool, Jacuzzi, clubhouse, laundry, fitness room, etc. Social activities are a major component of life at Birds. The “birds nest” bar, is open in the afternoons to serve guests around the pool.

We are located on the Chapala bypass, in the village of San Antonio Tlayacapan, adjacent to Ajijic, on the north shore of Lake Chapala. The area is separated from Guadalajara, ( about 40 km to the north), by a a range of mountains. The airport is located on the south side of Guadalajara, about a half hour drive away.

Location: The Lake Chapala area is extremely popular with American & Canadian visitors. At 5,000 ft altitude, the climate is ideal. Air conditioning or heating is not required. The lake, (Mexico's largest), is ringed by mountains providing ample opportunity for hiking and sight seeing.

Our complex, 'Birds of Paradise' is located in the village ing is available close by in San Antonio. A large Wal Mart and shopping centres, restaurants, etc are located close by, with walking distance..

Birds of Paradise, being on the bypass road, provides easy access to the bus routes into Ajijic or to Guadalajara.

The city of Guadalajara in Mexico's second largest city and provides all the expected amenities including shopping, (Costco, Sears, etc), entertainment, medical services, etc. The airport is on the south side of the city only about a half hour drive.

Our condo is a ground floor unit, providing easy access - No steps! Limited mountain views from living room and patio. Lake view from front walkway.

Children are permitted, but this is a condo complex for retired seniors. Thus activities for children are limited, and child access to the pool is not permitted in the late afternoon.
