Overview

Asheville Area Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Quiet, peaceful retreat tucked away on 36 wooded acres near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoy biking, hiking or birding while still only 10 minutes from all that downtown Asheville has to offer.

A cozy log cabin with all the amenities provides for that secluded romantic getaway or a family gathering. A recent complete renovation includes granite vanities, heated bathroom floors, leather furniture and much more.

Sip wine on the front porch in rocking chairs or in the private hot tub and look for the wild turkey, deer and other wildlife that abound or curl up in front of the fireplace to read, relax or just watch a movie. We are happy to email link to additional photos.

'Is this not the true romantic feeling; not to desire to escape life, but to prevent life from escaping you?'

Thomas Wolfe, author (Asheville native)

About The Owner

We moved to Asheville in 2000 and built our home on Busbee Mountain. We love living in the mountains and enjoying all that Asheville and the surrounding area offers.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2007

Why The Owner chose Asheville Area

We bought this lovely cabin that sits on property adjoining our 35 acres of woodland on Busbee Mountain where we live. After renovating the cabin, we decided to share this special spot with others through vacation rental.

What makes this cabin unique

Susan's parents, Liz and Bill, who retired to Asheville and also live on Busbee Mountain, provide the special touches to help guests have a memorable stay. We know Asheville and Western NC very well and enjoy helping guests make the most of their time here.

Wonderful Mountain Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Six of us stayed here for a bachelorette weekend in Asheville. This cabin was perfect! It is a great deal for the price. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the large kitchen table was great for us to gather around for dinner. The large living room has comfy couches and an easy-to-use fire, and the three bedrooms were very spacious for the 6 of us girls. Our favorite part was the front porch--we loved drinking coffee and eating breakfast overlooking the gorgeous azaleas. Liz and Bill are extremely welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. The drive to Asheville is very quick-- 10-12 minutes depending on where you are headed-- and it was a great, secluded spot for us to relax in between activities downtown. We will definitely stay here again!

Asheville Christmas

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful Christmas at the Busbee Cabin! The cabin was larger than expected. Secluded, yet convenient to Asheville. We were so content to stay at this cabin (between the fireplace, jacuzzi, and porch rocking chairs), we had a difficult time prying ourselves off the property to sightsee! I would love to return in the Spring to see the azaleas bloom. I can't say enough about how at home we felt here. There was even a grocery rewards card to save money when shopping at the local grocery. Liz & Bill dropped off a delicious loaf of bread to us on Christmas, and are truly the jewels in this crown. Thank you for sharing this cabin for an Asheville Christmas these Floridians will cherish forever.

Exceptional property for the price. The cabin sits just off a seemingly private drive with only two other residences above, i.e., traffic is virtually nonexistent. An extended front porch with hot tub enters to the spacious dining area, a very well appointed kitchen with pantry and side entrance, and living room which leads to the door of the lengthy side porch. The bedrooms are quite comfortable with the master standing out. The trail(s) out back was a treat, might I recommend a map for assurance of those less inclined to hike. Asheville is truly twelve minutes away and the commute is routine after one trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin and one uncontrollable glitch was amended in a timely manner by the hosts. Looking forward to our next stay.

Lovely rental property

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely property and the pictures hardly do the setting or the house justice. Just minutes away from downtown Asheville, this private home/cabin feels way off in the woods, set up on a mountain side, surrounded by flowering trees and walking trails. The house is spacious, very comfortable (including the beds!), clean, with lovely furnishings, an updated, well-equipped kitchen and other thoughtful amenities. The hot tub is a great addition. We stayed here with another adult couple as the azaleas were popping and enjoyed lovely views from the porch rockers. The house could easily accommodate a few more folks.

The property owners are hospitable and informative. The booking process was easy and straightforward. I look forward to staying here again.

My favorite and only place to stay in Asheville!

  • 5 of 5

I came back home and talked about this place for weeks. I need to stop talking about it because people are asking me where this cabin is located and can they go with me next time. I don't want everyone to know my secret getaway place. HAHA! I enjoyed my stay at this cabin and the location was wonderful! It was private and quiet and peaceful. Still so close to downtown Asheville. Liz and Bill came and meet us with the warmest hugs and it just made me love this place. Took the girls up there and had a blast. Did some walking and cooking out and exploring. This is my number one choice to stay in Asheville forever!

Loved this cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We visited the cabin over valentines day weekend and had a blast. The cabin was perfect for our 3 couples. Based on the weather, the hot tub was a plus! Liz and Bill were so kind to come down and greet us when we arrived. I highly suggest this cabin for anyone visiting Asheville who wants the cabin/remote feel but also wants to be close to downtown.
