This little Casa was the perfect place for the two of us. The only slight negative was the very small master bathroom.
The place was nicely appointed, very clean and close to the ocean, which made for great walks!
Casa La Sirena was perfect for our family weekend attending a wedding. The location is very convenient to the beach, Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, and Soquel. The private beach is dog friendly and great for watching surfers. There is a secluded back yard and a place to sit on the front porch, which we enjoyed as well. Wish we could have stayed longer! The owners were very prompt, informative, and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this property.
We had a very nice visit and the home was the perfect size for our little group of 2 adults and 3 children. My husband and I were prepared to love the entire experience and upon arrival we loved the look of the place. The kids loved the decor in the rooms however we found the house lacking in some of the basics that we would have expected. The bathrooms were tiny and there was absolutely no counterspace in the master bath. No dishwasher so we spent some time washing dishes....no huge deal except that when we checked out we were expected to wash the dishes and put them away. I would certainly hope the people who rented before were clean but just in case we felt compelled to wash all the dishes we used prior to using them. In addition, the remotes for the WII were out of batteries and the only television available was Netflix which certainly didn't carry the Summer Olympics. We didn't care about cable tv but thought for sure there would be local channels available. Lastly, the night prior to leaving we went through making sure we had all the random socks, swim suits ,etc and found that the floors under the sofa and beds were very dirty.
We did love the access to the private beach and our grandchildren are still talking about seeing the nude gentleman on the other side of the stairs. I was thinking that the nude beach might have been a little more secluded but...go figure.
Case La Sirena was the perfect house for our getaway. Our group of 4 came to the Santa Cruz area to run the Wharf to Wharf, which runs right past the house, and a very convenient, short walk back after the race finished. The location was perfect to enjoy the sights from San Fransisco, Monterey, Carmel, and the Big Sur areas. We also enjoyed the short walk into Capitola where you find many wonderful restaurants and shops. The private beach was beautiful and a very short walk. Overall the house was clean, comfortable, well stocked, in a safe and convenient location and Akemi always responded quickly when we asked questions. I would highly recommend this rental. It was a 100% positive experience.
Very comfortable home. Beautiful decor and color scheme. Close to everything. Private beach was beautiful. Everything you could need is supplied. Owners very attentive. We came with 4 teenagers who loved the location. My husband and I lounged around and watched movies, used the gas grill outside, took our little doggie for walks. Plenty of doggie blankets for him. We rode bikes, went to the beach, went to get massages, went to the gym,all nearby. My husband and I are tall and the master bedroom was huge, wish they would get a king size bed. Very quiet and serene place. We will return again and again.
My family was in need of a vacation and Akemi's place was perfect! It is beautifully decorated with vibrant colors and lovely art, the beds are comfortable, and it is very clean (which is the most important thing to me). I stayed here with my husband, two children (18 and 22), and our dog, They were all very happy with the place and how close it is to the beach. We spent most of our time at Privates beach (3 minute walk), but we also walked to Capitola (15 minute walk) one night for dinner and ice cream. Having the beach so close and also yummy places to eat made it ideal for my family. I will definitely check the availability of this place first the next time I am looking for a place in Santa Cruz!
