This Sunny Garden Studio was a lovely place to call home during our time in Berkeley & the Bay Area. The charming & well maintained respite supplied all that we could possibly need, including a gracious hostess who made sure that if we had any further requests, all we'd need to do was ask.
We loved the short walk to many restaurants & shops close by, as well as the easy access to the freeway to other places in the Bay Area. Joan also provided a lovely basket and binder full of local restaurant menus, pamphlets for attractions and maps.
Thank you, Joan, for a lovely stay! We would love to come back one day.
This cottage is a lovely place to stay. It has all that you need if you want to shop and cook for yourself, or, take an easy stroll to Solano avenue and go to a restaurant. Joan is a wonderful hostess. She has created a wonderful and welcoming spot to stay. It is private, comfortable, very thoughtfully decorated, completely stocked for cooking, and immaculate. I love this place so much that I have booked sequential stayed here so that I may attend a seminar series over the course of the next year. I have stayed in other places in the area, and none compare to this cottage and the wonderful Joan! I love that I can bring my bicycle and use that to commute. There is easy access to bike paths and dedicated bike streets. Public transportation is near by. Walking in the area is delightful. There is also easy access to beautiful hikes very near the cottage. I highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed.
This lovely cottage in a charming neighborhood is perfectly located for exploring the east side of the bay. It's an easy drive up the hill to glorious hiking in Tilden Regional Park, a two block stroll to terrific restaurants on Solano, and only about ten minutes to the UC Berkeley campus. The cleverly designed converted garage has everything one needs for a quiet stay, and its own sweet patio space surrounded by gorgeous landscaping. Very private, though steps away from the main house. A car is a good idea, though Lyft and Uber make getting anywhere easy.
This lovely garden cottage was perfect! It was close to anything you might want to do in Berkeley. It was cozy but modern with everything you might need for a lengthy stay. Joan is a warm and friendly hostess with two kitty's to greet you. I felt safe and comfortable and will definitely be staying again!
Joan has a welcoming, beautifully landscaped property and a friendly welcome. Everything is taken care of. We have stayed in the cottage several times and feel lucky when the cottage is available for our stay.
This was the best place we've stayed in a long time! Everything was so well cared for and so comfortable. The landscaping is so pretty, the accommodations so welcoming, and Joan is lovely. We would highly recommend it and plan to stay here again when we come back to the area.
