Really enjoyed our stay, fairly tranquil spot. We had several friends and relatives come and visit during our stay. Ample public parking nearby. Definitely recommend it.

Great property, amazing location!

  • 4 of 5

We had a fantastic time at the beach cottage! Yes, it's a bit vintage and quirky, but it's a beach house! We loved being right on the bay. The view every morning was just beautiful. Others have commented that the toilet is in the garage.. well no. It's next to the shower room and next to the garage but it is its own room and with a big family it was nice to have the separate rooms so everyone could do their business, shower, or get ready in the morning, at the same time. There were sand toys, towels, chairs (though a few replacements may be necessary). We found a cabinet with a few games and puzzles for our down times, even books. I really appreciate the owners keeping this beach house instead of tearing down and going the condo route. This is such a great place with a neat relaxed, beachy feel. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to try to go back.

Great location, very family friendly

  • 5 of 5

The location is exactly as advertised, right on Mission Bay. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, the Ocean, bike rentals, etc.

We were there in April and the place was great. I'm not sure how it would be in the winter, as it definitely feels like a beach bungalow - i.e., we didn't see any insulation. It has a bit of a funky layout, but it works. The patio is fantastic - we could sit on the patio and watch the kids playing in the sand on the bay. There were some poor reviews about the bathroom - the toilet is in a separate room, and the sink vanity is small (there is not room to sit any toiletries on it). The tub is an old claw foot tub; if you have kids, it means it is tricky for baths. Sand toys were in the garage, as well as fully functioning washer/dryer. Fully functioning and stocked kitchen. Very comfortable living room and dining area.

I would strongly recommend this home to a family, or two couples.

Location is really all this place has going for it.

  • 2 of 5

The location is amazing. But the place is about to fall apart. Cleaning fee is just to make extra cash, as cabinets are sticky and thing are not that clean. Also whoever is in charge of managing the rental is pretty terrible. I had to really pester them to return one of my wife's items she accidently left behind. Also I still haven't received my deposit back yet. Just be weary, its looks like a good deal for a reason. There are plenty of other rental that would be better.

Our family of five loved our stay at this charming old cottage.

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is the perfect location to enjoy both mission bay and mission beach. Our daughters enjoyed digging for shells each morning and my husband and I enjoyed watching them from the patio with our coffees. This cottage is vintage and has a lot of character. We appreciate the clean property and the generous lot size and plan to stay again!
