One of two adjacent beachfront homes, approximately 75 yards across a large spacious lawn area to a low dune and sandy beach. (See below for information on the second home.) The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood, but very convenient to shopping, fronted by a hand-cut lava rock wall.
Lemon and banana trees and other beautiful tropical plants adorn the property. The large lawn area between the house and the beach contains rows of palm trees and a banyan tree that is over a hundred years old. A wonderful place for family fun. The beach is on a shallow lagoon with a fringing reef, where locals fish and gather seaweed in the tidepools. The dune area above the beach is a regular destination for turtles to come ashore and lay their eggs. Beyond the reef, whales can often be seen during the whale season.
The house is a beautiful 4 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home that sleeps 8 (up to 10, with children). Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds, a third has 2 double beds and the 4th has 2 twin beds. The house has beautiful maple flooring, granite counter tops and maple kitchen cabinets. All 4 bedrooms are located on the 2nd story with a large deck (12 x 24) that overlooks the ocean. It's like sitting on top of the world!
All of the beautiful furnishings are comfortable, making it easy to feel at home, relax and enjoy your vacation. The kitchen is fully stocked (including a blender, toaster oven, microwave and Hawaiian dishware), and the dining table expands to seat 12 people.
Relax on the large patio facing the lawn and beach beyond, or lounge on deck chairs on the lawn. This home has everything you will need to enjoy your vacation---you feel at home the moment you walk in. You would never know you were one block from the main road of Kihei Town.
The house is adjacent to a 2-bedroom house under common ownership, which is also available to rent. (See VRBO Listing No. 180360.) A grounds keeper lives on site.
An opportunity to rent one or both homes---together they can sleep up to 12 guests (16, with children), making these homes a perfect place for a family reunion, anniversary, a cozy getaway or a memorable holiday.

This was our 4th year visiting this property! It is wonderful! We usually stay for 2+ weeks and never want to go home when our time is up. The home is large, lots of windows, very comfortable. Very private, it feels like you are on your own private Island!! Owners are very concerned and will help in anyway they can to make your visit the best it can be! We have already booked for next year!! Great price for this home, should be more, but don't tell the owners that!!
We had such an amazing time at this lovely home. It was fully stocked and really didn't miss a beat. The view and location is close to perfection.
The only drawback was there is no air conditioning. We were there during a pretty hot and humid week and during the day it was almost unbearable. I just wish I had known this ahead of time as my parents are in their 70's and it was difficult for them. They provide many fans, but it was still really sticky :(
Other than that, lovely stay and hospitality.
We rented both houses, 180360, and were blown away by everything. We needed zero extra accessories as the houses had everything. I will recommend these for anyone looking for an exceptional time. Not far from anything you want to see. Beach is 150 feet away through a great back yard that has a beautiful sunset every night. If you are thinking about these properties just book them.
We had a wonderful time with this large house as our home base for excursions in West Maui and beyond. It easily accommodated and provided enjoyment for 9 members aged 2 to 72. The large lawn led down to the beach where we enjoyed morning coffee, daytime play in the waves and sunsets on the beach. The beach was private with few people walking by. With water shoes, entry into the water was easy, while the sand dunes at the top of the beach provided great playing for the smallest family members. We were able to walk to nearby stores and take morning runs from the house. The location was quiet and access to other locations in West Maui by car was quick and easy. Multiple fans throughout the house and cooler night temperatures kept the house temperatures comfortable. We used the barbecue frequently and enjoyed dinners in the lanai. Boogie boards and sun umbrellas were provided and were enjoyed by our group. This was a great place to stay.
Best place to stay in Maui. House is close to markets and such but out of the way so it's quiet an peaceful. The lawn an beach out back are amazing.
Stayed with 9 total and never was crowded or felt small. Looking forward to being back here, but renting the house next door too.
We really enjoyed staying in your house during our week's vacation in Maui. We were five adults and a three year old and the house was very comfortable and spacious enough. Like other guests, we also had some very warm days and the house got pretty warm in mid-afternoon. But the house cools off nicely at night with the windows open and the ceiling fans going.
We loved the great big back yard shaded by the trees and adorned by plumerias with the lawn running out to the beach. We chose this house because of the direct access to the beach which was great. The only thing that beats taking a fresh cup of coffee out in the morning to watch the waves as the sun is coming up behind you is taking a cold beer out in the late afternoon for a private seat for those famous Maui sunsets. This beach is beautiful but not really swimmer friendly and the rocks make it almost mandatory to have some reef socks or wading shoes to enjoy the water.
You seem to have thought of everything from the well equipped kitchen to the Genesis gas grill and patio dining area and we really made good use of those beach chairs and umbrellas. We would definitely return for another stay.
We rented the main house for the week we were in Kihei, Maui. The location was grand. Close to all the main stores and super markets. The beach access was superb. Close to Boss Frog's for snorkeling equipment and a snorkeling tour to Molokini and Turtle Town. Beaches were close by as the beach out front was quite rocky and difficult to traverse. Not a great beach for beach goers. Unfortunately, the weather was unseasonably warm. The house has no Air Conditioning only fans. The fans were going 24/7 and was not really enough to keep things comfortable. I'm sure in normal weather, the Hawaiian breeze would keep things very nice. Nalu's restaurant is very close. Well worth your time and appetite. We did have some problems with the homeless people attempting to camp around the walkway to the beach. Did not create a great problem. Keep your eyes open for the turtles, as they do occupy the beach in the evening hours. Will definitely consider returning to this grand house.
