Red Hook Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Why fight the crowds and pay top season prices and risk "iffy" weather patterns when instead you can enjoy off season prices in sub tropical splendor?

June, July & August bookings are eligible to receive $100 or even more off on stays of at least 6 nights.

This corner marina front walk-in level condo was the 'builder's unit' meaning it was retained by the builder developer as his own due to the location. I've always figured the builder as a pretty good judge. Dominica building features the shortest distance (approx 1100 feet) to the beach with the least vertical climb (25 feet +/-)

Close to beach, office, pool, restaurant, lending library, outdoor shower, mail room, marina services and laundry. Close to everything but quiet.

Private and free in-condo high speed wireless network. I-pod dock and Bluetooth stereo speakers, flat screen Hi-def TV.

End unit is especially nice because nobody will be disturbing you by walking by your door. End unit porches also have a side window for more light and air flow.

This spacious, tastefully furnished one bedroom end unit condominium is located overlooking a quiet marina with stunning down-island views of St. John, the BVI and many other islands.

Watch the yachts come and go while lounging on your private balcony or take a short 1500 foot stroll to beautiful world-renowned Sapphire Beach. The air conditioned walk in level condo sleeps four with a king-size bed in the bedroom and a pullout queen in the living area. Nicely appointed kitchen and open dining area.

Sapphire village offers two pools, one just steps from your door alongside the Sapphire Bar & Grill, the on-site restaurant. The marina offers almost every Water Sport under the sun from BVI or sun set cruise to fishing, para-sailing. Dive shop is on the beach about 700 strides from your door. The dive boat leaves from the Marina below your private patio.

Red hook is less then a mile down the road with boutiques, numerous restaurants, a grocery store and the ferry to nearby St. John.

Summers are a great time to visit, crowds are light, the beaches are delightful and the weather is near perfect. Even in the heat of summer the V.I. has never recorded a temperature above 99 degrees. Give the V.I. a visit in the off season, you won't regret it.

We now also offer a newly remodeled marina front studio with many similar features just 75 feet away. Please contact us for details.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our vacation in St. Thomas and staying in your condo. We really appreciated all you did for us. The condo had all the amenities anyone could want and more. We went back to Latitude 18 Saturday night to see Jason Jones again as we loved his music. We went sailing with Maxine on "Lou" as recommended and did some snorkeling at Hawksnest Bay. We shopped at Havensight Mall for gifts to take home and checked out a few more beaches, Lindquist, Magens, Secret Harbour and did lots of relaxing.

The day before we left, we saw a deer jump off the end of the marina and swim to shore just to the right of the condo. Dean figured it was a sign that's it's time to go back home, although I disagreed.

Perfect Property!

  • 5 of 5

Tom is an amazing owner to work with. I've rented from VRBO many times, and he is at the top of the list for the best! He answered all of my questions quickly and made sure the condo had what we needed. The condo was in a great location. A short walk to a beautiful beach and a quick drive to restaurants and the ferry. It has been updated. It has all of the necessities you need. We appreciated all of the little things like condiments, plastic wrap, leftover liquor, and beach & snorkel equipment. Thank you Tom for your top notch customer service!

Relaxing stay in Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 8 nights at Tom's place on the East End of St Thomas. It was a relaxing experience from the day we booked our trip until we boarded the plane. Tom was extremely attentive to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Ease of booking, arranging a local "Rent-A-Dent", pre-trip call and promptly answering any other items that came up. The location is perfectly situated on the East End of St Thomas, 40 minutes from STT, 5 minutes to Redhook (shopping, groceries, restaurants, St John Ferry). Most important you are 300 yards from Sapphire Beach, an incredible beige sand beach that was 83 degree water filled with abundant sea life and coral. This made snorkeling and beach lounging a very enjoyable experience as you enjoy the (condo provided) beach towels, chairs, coolers and snorkel gear. The condo was very clean and completely absent of MM&B. In the the tropics you always need to be on the watch for MM&B; Mold, Mildew and Bugs. The unit features an updated kitchen, complete with dishwasher. Bathroom has also been completely updated. Bedroom featured generous closet space and dresser unit to stow your clothes. The king size bed was very comfortable. The two AC units pumped out a nice cool breeze to provide relief from the outside humidity and heat. The condo features a great balcony overseeing Sapphire Marina and a view of the nearby Cays, St John and Tortola. The condo is centrally located within Sapphire Village, so its handy to the pool, bar, restaurant, laundry and managers office. We can't wait to return annually...

The perfect spot!

  • 5 of 5

My fiancé and I really enjoyed this condo!! The condo was clean, comfortable, and conveniently close to Sapphire beach and town! Tom had everything and anything you need accessible. Only 1 mile away from Red Hook and the ferry, and walking distance to the beautiful beach. Also, if you are looking for a car rental I highly suggest it over a taking a taxi - Tom really hooked us up with a great car rental last minute (which was a lifesaver!) If you are looking for an adventure as well as a relaxing getaway for two, this condo and island is the spot to be!

Owner's Response: O & K, Thank you for your review! I'm very happy it went so well. That Harold had a car was a stroke of luck since his fleet is so small and I agree a rental beats taxi every time. That you described yourselves as get out and explore types pretty well dictated, to me at least, that a car was in your future. I have more than a couple repeat guests that go car-free and get by fine just staying within the Sapphire area but they aren't the explorer types. Goes along with my feelings that Sapphire is the best location on the island.

Fantastic Condo

  • 5 of 5

The condo looked just like the pictures. It is the nicest place I've stayed at on St Thomas. It is well maintained and spotless. It was great having beach chairs and coolers to take on our outings to explore all the beaches. Walked to Red Hook to catch the ferry to St John not recommended when dark. Tom provided us with tons of info about things to do and places to eat. We fixed our dinners since we were exhausted after a full day of sun and water. Thanks for sharing your condo and looking forward to my next trip.

Wonderful Condo! Owner, Tom is great!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

The condo is exactly as described and pictured. The view is amazing! Snorkeling was fun at Sapphire Beach. There were lots of good places to eat (Molly Malone's, Fish Tails, Off The Grid, Island Time Pizza... Tom went above and beyond helping us with information for fishing, directions, places to eat and even helped us get a rental car! A rental car isn't needed but makes exploring the island and St. John's easier. Tip #1: Don't pack a lot. The condo has everything you'll need (cooler, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, towels...). Tip #2: Grocery store within a mile, making it easy to cook at the condo. (Prices are a little higher than groceries back home). At home is what you feel at this condo. Clean, comfortable & WHAT A VIEW! Thank you Tom for the memories!

Amazing condo, location, and owner. Definitely consider this place for a fun vacation!

  • 5 of 5

I just returned from a 30-day rental here during the month of June. I can’t say enough good things about the location, the condo, and the helpfulness of the owner (Tom). But I will try!

I did a lot of research to find the perfect place for a month-long working vacation on the east end of St. Thomas. I considered Point Pleasant, then Sapphire Beach, and finally, luckily, landed on Sapphire Village.

Sapphire Village was great. We walked 3 minutes to a really beautiful beach with great sand and very clear, blue water. 30 seconds away is the Sapphire Grill which has pretty good food and drinks and is a great way to chat with other residents. Each day we would walk 15 minutes down the hill to Red Hook to catch one of many ferries, go food shopping at a high-quality grocery store, or get a happy hour cocktail or dinner. We would usually take the $1 ‘Safari’ shared taxi trucks back up the hill, or after dark when the walk is too dangerous without lights/shoulders.

Other things we did easily from the condo were: the airport, ‘town’ (Charlotte Amalie), Smith Bay Beach (aka Lindquist) and Coki Beach for snorkeling, and the Rotz-Carlton for a great dinner/view.

The condo itself is very comfortable for short & long stays. I worked there for a month and really appreciated the space, the large balcony, and the view. Tom has performed a great remodel of the kitchen and bathroom versus the other units I looked at. Both are nicely updated.

The condo was well-stocked and prepared for our visit, with plenty of silverware, cookware, cleaning supplies, and even left over booze from past guests. Whoever gets the place after me will benefit from a bottle of good tequila :) Plus, the condo has two powerful AC units which can be nice when the nights get a little stuffy.

The balcony view is the highlight. You can see more than 10 different islands in both the USVI and BVI, palm trees swaying in the breeze, and lots of activity at the marina.

Tom was fantastic from start to finish. He even went out of his way to upgrade his Internet speed when I told him how important it was to my remote work. On that note, I got great speeds versus the other units I contacted (18 meg download speed). Tom also gave me advice on places to eat and even the dive center to use (Red Hook Dive Center – great!). During my vacation, Tom would often answer my questions within an hour—amazing! He went out of his way to make sure I enjoyed the condo and St. Thomas.
