Everything was great. A very comfortable and cozy house. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was a wonderful fall weekend in Vermont. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Cute house

  • 5 of 5

Cute house. Cozy and spacious. Close to Stratton. Sure to the mild weather we went hiking. Lye Brook Falls was a nice hole though challenging when carrying a baby.

Cozy private house

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I rented this house for Columbus Day weekend. We were very happy with this place! Had everything we needed, including towels, kitchen supplies, etc. Clean, well maintained, Close to Stratton Mountain, cute little breakfast place & coffee shop at the bottom of the road. Our ONLY complaint are the beds, very hard and uncomfortable. But that wouldn't stop us from renting there again.

Nice summer get-away

  • 4 of 5

Nice place that was well stocked for our stay. No a/c so if you're visiting in the summer take fans; there was only one there. Other than being a tad warm, it was wonderful. Tucked away at the end of the lane you have all the privacy you could ask for. Lovely house.

Great, cozy house in the woods

  • 5 of 5

My wife, 2-yr-old daughter and I rented the house for a 3-day weekend and were very happy with the space and amenities, all of which were exactly as advertised. The house has a very cozy feel to it and is very well maintained. The location is nice and secluded and offers a nice break from city noise, if you happen to be coming from NYC or another urban area.

The night we got there it was about 25 degrees outside and the house was quite chilly but warmed up very nicely within a few hours after we turned on the heat. Having two bathrooms was a nice feature as well. We highly recommend Jake's Tavern (about 5 or 10 minutes north by car) for great bar food in a family-friendly atmosphere (you'll be very happy here if you like wings) - our daughter has a peanut allergy and Jake's uses no nut oils or nuts in any of their food.

Proximity to excellent state parks is great - plenty of great hiking nearby. Can only imagine how beautiful it must be in the winter.

Payment and communication with Theresa (the owner) was easy and clear - no surprises, which is a good thing in this regard.

Highly recommended all around. Thanks, Theresa!

Wonderful Vermont Weekend

  • 5 of 5

3 couples, 3 days in March.

Great location (very private), great price, super close to Stratton Mt. as well as very quaint & quintessential Vermont towns. Theresa (property manager) was very helpful and easy to get in touch with. Clean and tidy. The kitchen is a galley, so it's tight when 2 are preparing dinner but is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. We cooked breakfast and dinner for 6 for 3 days - so it was more than adequate. There were plenty of pillows, linens, and towels - all were clean and well kept. There's a great little grocery store close by, gas station, and a couple shops all within a few miles.

Minor issues:

There are 3 full beds, there is NOT a queen bed in bedroom 1 as stated in the description. Beds are firm, so if you're used to a pillow-top bring something to soften the mattress, but for a weekend they were adequate.

We would definitely rent this house again!
