Great Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

While in Vermont for a local family event, we stayed two nights in this rustic cottage. It was the perfect place for three couples--three bedrooms with double beds, roomy seating with a clean, cozy feel. We were there in the springtime, but I can see how it would be a reasonable ski hideaway within close proximity to Stratton and Bromley. The owner was very easy to work with--friendly and very responsive to any questions I had. I was impressed with the speed with which the security deposit was refunded. I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking an affordable Vermont country experience. Although it is "rustic", I'm giving it five stars because it totally met my expectations and worked well for us. We had a great stay in the Stratton area!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with a small group of friends to attend a concert at Stratton Mountain. The place was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and quite. Theresa was quick to respond when booking and we had no issues.

This little gem in the Vt countryside provided our group with a comfy, cozy stay.

  • 4 of 5

We got just what we were looking for, a tidy, comfy, warm little get-away for a ski weekend near Stratton. There was plenty of room in this little Mountain house and all the amenities were right at our fingertips. It was a gathering spot for 6 good old friends and perfect for our group.

Could not have been happier. The prompt communication, ammenities, proximity to everything we needed

  • 5 of 5

This was our first experience with HomeAway and I was very impressed with this owner. Her prompt attention and clear communicaton made our stay that much more enjoyable. The house was exactly as depicted and well stocked and a perfect size for our family of five. We skiied Mt Bromley for the first time and was very satisfied with the mountains easy setup. The kids could just ski on there own and we skiied from first chair to the last then enjoyed the deck with cocktails and waffles. It did not hurt that it was 45 degrees on Feb 21st and 22nd making it a spring experience. Awesome, will definately be staying at this house again.

Great bones, but a bit neglected

  • 3 of 5

This chalet gives off a really nice vibe. It's old, hidden in the woods and very simple. The price was definitely right. That said, it needs some TLC. Some of the towels were ripped. There's no skirts on the beds. The dishwasher doesn't work well and, probably as a result, many of the dishes were dirty when we arrived. The beds aren't comfortable, but they're not horrible either. If you intend to cook, you need to bring your own knife...the knives are useless. It was also pretty cold when we arrived. All that said: I'd probably come back if I was with the right type of group.
