The decoration is friendly & cheerful. All appliances are provided. It's a joy for anyone to spend time in this lovely apartment. If you have a guest ,you can use the sofa by removing cushions and it is a Proper Bed. If you are a party of 4, the sofa opens in 2 minutes into two Bunkbeds.

If you are 5 guests,5th guest will be comfortable on proper extra single bed 0.90x1m90. Our Square's History: John Elger's Development, 1853–59

By the end of the 1840s building in Rutland Gate had petered out, but early in 1851 an agreement was drafted between Elizabeth Manners and John Elger, who had been developing the adjoining Kingston House estate since the mid-1840s, for completing the southern part of the street. However, it was not until 1853 that work got under way. Several houses were started in the autumn, and soon afterwards Elger bought the freehold of all the remaining vacant ground from the Manners family.

During the next six years the whole of southern Rutland Gate was built up by Elger , together with Rutland Mews East and West and a roadway linking Rutland Gate with his development on the Kingston House estate. It was presumably at this time that the high brick wall along the south side of Ennismore Street was built, shutting off Brompton Road and its northern hinterland from the exclusive culs-de-sac opposite Hyde Park.

Excellent Knightsbridge Flat

We stayed at the flat for nearly a week. The location is fantastic. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a washing machine. The apartment was very clean. Our hostess met us and took us on a tour of the area which was very helpful. Our hostess also recommended a play (Curious incident - which was brilliant). The apartment is best for a couple and in terms of value for the location it's excellent.

Great location in the centre of London

Wonderful flat in the heart of London, so close to Hyde park!! Right near all public transport, easy walk to Victoria and Albert museum, Natural History museum, and supermarkets. We loved it, Annmarie is a great host, very approachable and good with communication. We felt very confident and safe booking her accommodation. The flat itself is exactly as pictured and described, very comfortable and has absolutely everything that you need. It is located in a beautiful neighbourhood. Annmarie recommended her driver and he took us to the airport, he was fantastic, very reliable, we only wish that we had organised him for our arrival, as we had very heavy luggage being the end of our trip and Knightsbridge station does not have a lift. We also got a bit lost so download a map beforehand if you don't have a phone to ring. We loved our stay and highly recommend this apartment.Thank you Annmarie !

"our" perfect flat

This vacation was beyond our expectations.

Our hostess, Anne Marie was more than a concierge, she felt like a friend. Her recommendations are spot on. We did some activities that we would have not done unless she told us about them. She made us feel at home.

The apartment is very personal, unlike many vacation rentals that have a standard "IKEA" appearance this feels as someone's home. There are countless books and personal touches that added to this experience.

We felt that this flat could not have been more perfect for two people. It is a small flat but ample room. We did not lack for anything.

The location is perfect for sight seeing. Bus and Tube stops are a short walk. If you love museums, this is a great location. The Victoria and Albert, the Natural History Museum and Science museums are a slow 7 minute walk. Hyde Park, Harrods, small grocers and countless restaurants of all kinds within a five minute walk. Even though the location is in the thick of things, the apartment is in a little square that is super quiet. So quiet we slept in more than we would have liked.

I had not been in London in over 30 years and my husband has never been before. We were amazed and enchanted with this vibrant city and we felt that this was "our" little flat. It could not have been more perfect.

Great little flat, fantastic location

When we got off the Tube, by phone, the owner guided us to the flat. As she was out of town, a friend of hers was waiting to greet us and give us the keys and orientation. The flat was well equipped. We especially appreciated the washer as we had just come off a week of hiking in the Lake District and had dirty clothes. We were told that the eclectic dryer was not working, so the friend who was staying in the owner's nearby flat offered to her clothes dryer. So kind. The wi-fi worked. The bed was comfortable. We appreciated the room fan as London was having a heat wave. The location is in walking distance of the Piccadilly Tube line, making it easy to get anywhere. There was a great deal of information for tourists in the flat. The owner was available by What'sApp to answer any questions and to give advice.

After leaving London, we went to the Cotswolds. There I discovered that I inadvertently left a medical device in the flat. After I called, the friend retrieved it and the owner met us at Heathrow before our flight a few days later. We were willing to pay for shipping, yet she went above and beyond to return it.

Perfect location!

This flat is in an absolutely perfect location - you couldn't ask for better in London. It was very clean, the housekeeper was there when we arrived to show us around and to see if we had any questions. We had our two kids with us, and easily set up the bunk beds in the living area each night for them, with the nice quality bed linens provided, and they were very comfortable. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed, and was very functional. The owner was very responsive. There was a slowly draining shower, the owner called her very nice plumber and had it seem to right away. When the kettle leaked, there was a new one at our door right away. The owner is two doors down, nicely texted to see if we needed anything, but was not intrusive at all. We would definitely stay here again. The only suggestion I would have is to add an electric clothes dryer to the laundry area in the flat. Since the flat was garden level, it took more than a day for clothes to dry, especially when it was rainy. All in all though, a wonderful place for a family to stay! Thank you!

Great apartment- Great location

Three of us stayed for a week in this lovely apartment: very english, very clean , with lots of room for us and everything that we needed. It was nice to have good quality bed-sheets and towels.The Wifi was fast. The housekeeper was waiting for our arrival and owner is very easy to communicate with. She introduced us to Whats App for free calls and texts and we are using it a lot now.

Driver took us back to the airport and he is a most charming person.

We hope to return soon as we did not manage to see everything of London and look forward to staying again in this apartment.
