Great Location

  • 5 of 5

The property is well maintained and equipped, we had a very good time. The owner was very kind and always available to solve any problem with the property or our stay. It is also conveniently close to the slopes.

Family Long Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family from Australia stayed in this property from 5 Dec 2015 - 23 Jan 2016 . Together with our three kids (8, 11, 13) and their grandfather, we quickly felt like 981 King Street was home. Jeff is a wonderful host and a thoughtful manager – he decorated the house for Christmas and ensured the property was well maintained throughout our stay, from clearing snow to ensuring the hot tub was serviced, clean and…hot. The property has plenty of space for a large family with an sunny living / dining / lounge room, everything you’d need (and more) in the kitchen, lots of linen and low maintenance hard wood floors. The walk in robe in the Master bedroom is enormous, and there is plenty of storage / cupboards around the house – which was great for our long stay. We were also well catered for when taking a day off the mountain with new TV and cable, high speed Wi-fi, board games, books as well as lots of space for the kids to play outside, including around the lovely pond (and down to the river). You get unobstructed views of the mountain - great for the fireworks (from the hot-tub if you like...). It's in a quieter no night or day noise ... and it’s an easy walk downtown but it is also very close to the free Hunter Creek bus (only 2 stops to City Market...but I'd recommend Clarkes). You don’t need a car but if you have one, you can easily park 2 or 3 off the street. Can’t recommend this property enough – Jeff is a great guy and makes sure your stay in one of his properties will be comfortable and memorable.

Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family is spread out over Colorado and we met in Aspen for a long weekend. It was April, last weekend of skiiing and snowed over a foot, couldn't have been more perfect. Our grandson is 8 months old and the house is well designed to accomodate babies and children. Everyone spent time in the hot tub and the views of Aspen Mountain were incredible. Aspen is a fun, vibrant town and this house is located within walking distance of downtown. I would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting to have a great time in a great house in a great town!

Boys Annual Ski Trip

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I take an annual ski trip every year to different locations and one of the challenges is finding a home that offers something for everyone - this home had it all, close to skiing as well as walking distance to the stores and restaurants in Aspen. Easy access to the City Market made shopping a pleasure and allowed us to buy only what we needed as we could easily stop on way back from slopes. Our trip started off with 6 guys (which is perfect number for this house) and ended on the last two nights with 8 (which got a bit tight) but Jeff helped by bringing over two portable mattresses which we put in the large Master Suites - the deck off the kitchen and living room is amazing and the view of Aspen Mountain from the well maintained hot tub is priceless. Very quiet and well maintiained home and Jeff the owner is very helpful and attentive - highly recommend this home for anyone looking to enjoy Aspen on or off the slopes

New Years 2014-15

  • 5 of 5

We have rented several homes/condos in the past and Jeff's hospitality and home was by far the best. We (2 adults and 3 young kids) decided to travel to Cancun prior to coming out to Aspen, so we sent 3 large winter luggage ahead of time to Jeff. He was so kind to recieve our bags, hold them for us and place them in the home just before our arrival. The home is nicely situated on a large open lot with unobstructed views and a large pond filled with ducks. My girls enjoyed building a snowman and having snowball fights. After a full day of skiing, it was wonderful to relax in a spacious outdoor jacuzzi. The kitchen was well appointed but needed new pots and pans. We had difficulty regulating the temperature of the house (my husband likes it cold, the girls and I like it warm). Jeff was considerate to buy a portable heater to increase the heat in the living room/kitchen area for my girls and I. Coming from Southern CA, it was cold! We enjoyed the numerous beautiful fireworks on New Year's Eve from our kitchen/livingroom. On the morning of our departure (5am), Jeff came to the house and offered to help us take our luggage (8 bags!) to the airport. I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you Jeff for your kindness and warm hospitality!

Christmas 2014

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed for a week during Christmas week. We had the perfect vacation. It helped that it snowed every single day and being from Florida, it was our first truly "white" christmas. The house was clean and set up well. The owner was accomodating and honest. It was so close to town we walked most days but took advantage of the use of the owner's suburban too. I strongly recommend this home as a vacation rental.
