Rocky Mountain National Park House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)

Moose Ponds is an exquisite vacation home located within the town of Grand Lake. Guests can drive or walk to gourmet cuisine or down home cooking in local restaurants, and shopping in town is always a delight. Moose Ponds is right around the corner from both. Built in 2006, the home offers an abundance of amenities and discriminating designs, including an open, airy floor plan with cathedral ceilings - perfect for socializing. All rates include sales tax and cleaning fees! Seven night minimum.

After a day of mountain activities, guests can gather in front of the stone fireplace to relax in comfort. The hot tub, and the large shower with a double shower head available in the master bath, offer a peaceful respite. The home also features a gourmet kitchen perfect for preparing a meal for a large group. Guests will also enjoy a generous living room, dining area and a great room on the lower level that includes surround sound and a game area.

The home is tastefully decorated with fashionable furnishings, luxurious mattresses, beautifully appointed wood floors and ceilings, copper sinks and appeasing art.

Your family and friends will make special memories during their vacation at Moose Ponds that can be remembered while relaxing on one of the two decks. The views from the decks of the two small ponds where wildlife frequently linger are spectacular.

Take just a short drive, and guests will encounter extraordinary Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the most beautiful places in the world. Featuring over 150 small lakes and 450 miles of streams, first-time visitors and local guests will be enchanted. Adam Falls, a magnificent waterfall, is also within camera range with just a 10 minutes hike.

Grand Lake is special any season. In the summer, it offers the best boating in Colorado on the state's largest natural lake, and Shadow Mountain and Lake Granby are only minutes away.

Guests may bring their own boat or rent from one of several facilities.

When the snow flies, the snowmobile trails are just steps away from the door at Moose Ponds. For a true Colorado skiing experience, Winter Park Ski Resort is an easy 40-minute drive. Sol Vista Ski area is 20 minutes away and is one of the best family resorts around.

Please enjoy your stay at Moose Ponds in beautiful Grand Lake, Colorado.

Moose Ponds stay delightful!!

  • 4 of 5

Our week (June 23-July 2, 2016) at Moose Ponds was totally enjoyable, unseasonable rain in the mountains around Grand Lake notwithstanding. Saw lots of elk and moose in RMNP, which starts less than a mile north, but even saw moose (bull, cow, calf) right beside one of the moose ponds just below our lodging. Also saw a fox by the ponds and lots of rainbow trout; but, our favorite was the marmot family which resides in the log pile beside the nearby hiking trail...Papa Marmot's urgent chirp everytime we walked by reminded us not to get too close. Brunch & supper in a magnificent setting are literally 3 minutes away at the Grand Lake Lodge porch dining room. Great place for a family gathering of 3 generations. ATVing, horseback riding, Colorado River wading are just a couple of minutes away from Moose Ponds.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your insightful review. Glad you had a great time. Those Marmots have been their now for two years. Would you mind emailing or call me to let me know what we could have done to earn a 5 star review instead of a 4? Jerry Healey

Amazing Property

  • 5 of 5

This property was absolutely amazing. Our kids and grandkids enjoyed everything about this home. We saw moose almost every night in the pond which we nicknamed "Splash". It was spotless and well-maintained. The owner is great to work with. I would highly recommend this property.

What a great time we had staying in this house over New Years!! We brought our snowmobiles and it was awesome riding right from the house to the trails!! Our family enjoyed the warm and cozy feeling you get from staying here! Skiing out here was a blast at Granby and Winter Park!! If you have the nerve you need to come out here and ride up chicken hill and super chicken hill!! Super chicken was awesome and nice deep powder!!

Great Stay at a Beautiful Home!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our week in this beautiful home! House had everything we needed and much more. Kitchen, living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious. We especially enjoyed the views from both decks. We saw deer, foxes, chipmunks and hummingbirds. We even saw a huge male moose a minute from house. Shops, restaurants, and the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance are nearby. This is a great vacation house!
