About The Owner

We have owned our home for over 20 years. We love that the U.S. Forest Service land behind our house means privacy, views, and hiking trails that allow for an easy 30 minute stroll or a long day hike from right out the back door. The aspens located on the property provide wonderful sceneray while the meadow and forest beyond the property provide amble recreation opportunites.

We don't get to use our house as much as we wish that we could. So we are delighted to share it with those seeking a nice weekend or longer stay in the beautiful Colorado mountains.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My family enjoyed the weekend. We saw

moose, fox, deer, and a lot of color. Sunday, was 3 inches

of snow, nice too.

Extremely Comfortable Stay

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our stay at the mountain house. The house was clean and very well stocked; we were able to cook our own meals and relax after full days of skiing. Only 7 miles from Keystone and truly convenient. We would happily recommend the house for anyone.

Quiet comfortable home

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this home on a girls ski trip. We skied at Vail and Keystone. The location of the home is great, not too far up into Wildernest and in a very quiet neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and the home was very clean. I would definitely rent this unit again.

Best Mountain Escape

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place to stay, it is stocked with literally everything. Love the crock pot for those days we were out late skiing and to lazy/tired to go out to eat. Perfect for strapping on your skies or snowshoes and heading out he back door. Same is true in the summer for heading out for a hike. Close to Silverthorne so we could shop at the outlet stores. The Rec Center in Silverthorne has hot tub, steam room and sauna..it is wonderful.

Perfect Mountain Get Away

  • 5 of 5

Great place, in a great location. It's so easy to strap on your snowshoes or X-country skis and head out the back door. Close to Frisco and Breckenridge so we took advantage of the ski areas there. Close to the outlet malls, so we could shop! Filled with everything you could need. Definitely going back.

Great house in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

I recently stayed here with a few friends and everything was perfect! The location is not too far up into the wildernest which was a big plus for us. We were on a snowboard trip and there are so many great resorts within a half hour drive as well. We will definitely check the availability of this property before our next trip out west!

Thanks again!!

Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Your mountain house was wonderful. I cannot ski or hike with my bad back but setting on the deck I felt like I was in the forest especial with the four feet of snow.. My family skied Copper which was just down the road. Thank you so much for renting it to us. The house was great.
