You can explore thousands of acres right out the back door!!

Located 32 miles or less from Shawnee and Camelback Ski Resorts, 25 miles from Lake Wallenpaupack and 17 miles from Milford, PA (10 Coolest Small Towns, 2007)

Our favorite Activities in the area: For personal pampering, we absolutely love the Pure Day Spa in East Stroudsburg. The spa is beautiful, the services extensive, and the staff professional and pleasant. While you are in town, stop at Liquid for dinner and drinks.

Historic Milford, PA is one of our favorite local towns. The food and ambiance at Hotel Fauchere and its more casual Bar Louis, are superlative and the shops along Main Street should not be missed.

We also enjoy hiking and waterfall-watching at George W. Childs park just down the road. Additional hikes are available all through the area, but the hiking trails at PEEC (Pocono Environmental Education Center) are varied and the staff there are available for education and assistance. Pick whichever hike fits your mood!

About Brett Jarvis

Pocono Dream Cabins is family owned and operated. After moving to the Poconos from NYC, we soon discovered how amazingly beautiful and serene the Poconos truly are--especially considering how close we are to NYC and Philadelphia. Our cabins are approximately 1.5 hours from NYC and 2 hours from Philadelphia. We have had guests from as far away as Holland, and as close as just across the border of New Jersey. Our cabins are fully stocked with all the amenities, including towels and linens.

Beautiful and Quiet

  • 4 of 5

Well let me start off with a few. Not only was Bret accommodating and quick getting a hold of and replying back to messages . He messaged me to tell me the house was ready to come down too. First thing I would like to say is that when we walked into the house and smelled a clean home and the air conditioning was on and cooled was THE MOST WONDERFUL THING! after a long drive. The master bed room was nice. I loved the towels laid out for us. made me feel welcomed. The fire pit was great and we made a fire every night and sat out doors the whole time. The hot tube was nice and I loved the screen porch to get away from the bugs. Recommend bringing chairs if want to go and stay outside(in which we did ourselves) and paper plates if you just want a quick bit to eat . I loved everything about the house the only negative was the cook ware , stainless steel and everything stuck to it. We did kayak at pecks pond. and did bushkill falls. Not much to do but we like to just sit and eat and have some drinks. And most of all quietness. .

Beautiful home!!

  • 5 of 5

This was a family get together for us and we had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful. It is clean and spacious. We enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen as well as grilling outside. Its so peaceful and quiet. The kids had a blast. Everyone loved the jacuzzi. We did see a few bears but they never bothered us., they went on their merry way. The manager Brett was very helpful and courteous. Would definitely recommend this home to all.

Absolutely breathtaking!!!

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived at the place we were very impressed by the perfectly manicured trees that sat in the front of the cabin. As we walked in we were in awe at the impeccable state the entire house was in. Everything was so clean and shiny. The beautiful windows provided natural sunlight throughout the day. We were supplied with just about everything needed to enjoy the weeks stay.

One can not ask for better customer service (Brett). The amenities such as the Jacuzzi, big screen TV's, washer and dryer and central AC only added to our enjoyment. Our pets enjoyed running around in the back yard as they had lots of space. There was sightings of wildlife in the yard and throughout the roads. The rooms where large and comfortable. We were able to buy wood by the carload only 12 minutes away from the cabin. We all loved it!! Thank you!!!

Definitely would recommend to everyone!!

THE property was breath taking.....

  • 5 of 5

This trip was a getaway for friends and family. It was just a weekend trip but the next time i will stay atleast 4days.... the house was beautiful and everything was just like the pictures. We rented ATVs , went ZIP LINING, and did other activities.... we didnt have enough time to go jet skiing but next time we will do it all. We grilled out and lit the fire pit it wad so much fun and the jacuzzi was heaven..... i heard there were black bears there and i wasnt sure how i felt about that but i got information on black bears so i felt ok, just be aware that they are there and you will be fine. On the morning of check out we saw one in the back yard and it just walked thru probably looking for food, make sure u clean up and NEVER leave food out. ( BTW get a air horn they work great to scare off a bear) if you are lucky enough to find this house on a rental website YOU MUST STAY HERE!!!!! I Will BE BACK NEXT YEAR.....

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind words! Regarding the bears, due to the mild winter and warm summer(and the berries coming in late) we have seen an unusual amount of bear activity this summer. As always you should follow black bear etiquette and give them the respect they deserve, as they are wild animals. That being said, we have never in 10 years had an incident with bears beyond sightings, and consider it one of the most exciting things about staying in the Poconos wilderness. It is quite a sight to see a black bear in the wild!

Clean, beautiful setting.

The home is beautiful in the middle of the woods. The home was clean, everything in its place, equipped with things we did not have to take ourselves (toaster, coffee pot, all kitchen utensils etc). I definitely recommend it and would stay again in the future.

Nearest Airport
70 Miles
Newark Liberty
Car: recommended

There is a huge area of public land, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and forest surrounding the property. Nearby you'll find the Mountain Laurel Center with concerts and events, Pecks Pond, where you can see Bald Eagles, rent boats and fish, or eat at the historic Pecks Pond Inn. Lake Wallenpaupack, the third largest body of water in PA, is 20 minutes away. High Knob, one of the highest mountains in the Poconos, is just a few minutes away. Numerous ski areas, golf courses, paintball, boating, hiking, ATV and Snowmobile trails, waterfalls, and more are all in the nearby area. Milford, Stroudsburg, Matamoras, and Hawley are all about 20-30 minutes away. This property is located centrally in the Poconos so you are within a reasonable drive of almost all of the attractions. What is most unique about this property is that it is not in a gated community, unlike most Pocono vacation rentals, so you can enjoy real seclusion while still being close to civilization.

Ski: As for skiing, the great thing about this location is that you are right in the middle of most of the Pocono ski areas. We get a lot of skiers who want to visit a different area every day. Tanglewood is only 12 miles away, about a 20 minute drive. You are also within 30 miles of Shawnee, Camelback, Mountain Creek, Big Bear, Alpine Mountain, Fernwood, and even Sno Mountain in Scranton is not out of reach.
