Completed in November 2009, this energy efficient log cabin, named Mt. Sinai, is the mountaintop experience you have been awaiting. Enjoy an afternoon spent rocking on the covered porch, while overlooking rolling hills featuring cows and a red barn. This is a serene view you won’t want to leave.
Once inside you will fall in love with the spacious 1900 sq. feet cabin. The great room is more than adequate to accommodate friends and family while you gather around the fireplace and recount your day in the mountains, or curl up with a good book and watch the spectacular sunset over the ridge.
The kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, Bamboo floors and is well equipped for any meal to be prepared. Also downstairs, you will find one (1) bedroom with a queen bed and 1 ½ baths. Upstairs you will find two (2) bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with twin bunk beds) and one (1) full bath. All of the baths have ceramic floors and both full baths have dual shower/tub. There is also a Double Bed in the 800 square-foot unfinished basement, which can be used to sleep 2 additional people. Although the basement is unfinished, it is heated and there is also a table that can be used to play cards or board games.
Outside, you can swing the afternoon away sitting on the covered porch’s 6-foot long wooden swing and listen to the Tweetsie Railroad whistle in the distant. You can even roast marshmallows and make s’mores over the outdoor fire pit as you and your loved ones sit on rustic wooden stumps and rocks. During the winter months, you can see the lights and slopes of Appalachian Ski Mountain, just across mountain.
Mt. Sinai Cabin is located 1 mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 5 miles to Appalachian Ski Mountain, 28 miles to Beech Mountain, 20 miles to Sugar Mountain, 7 miles to Downtown Boone and Appalachian State University, 7 miles to Downtown Blowing Rock, just 1.85 miles to Samaritan's Purse and less than 10 miles to WestGlow Spa and Resort.

Great place to stay! This home is a great and relaxing place to stay! The view is great and the front porch is ideal to enjoy it. Our teenagers enjoyed hanging out in the basement so they would have their own space. The owner is great to work with and definitely wants to please you and for you to enjoy your visit in her home.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this well appointed cabin retreat while attending the Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show and would do so again in a heartbeat. Secluded yet close to town, cabin directions and cabin instructions very clear and so easy to follow. Literally had everything we needed! The Owners were a joy to work with, very prompt and all interaction was via email, we never had to call them once post reservation because it was handled so well beforehand. Highly recommend this property. Our Plott Hound rescue puppy had the time of his life (at least so far)!
Wonderful , convenient, peaceful, clean, well appointed. Owners great to work with and the peace we felt while we were there was refreshing.
Thank you for sharing your mountain home, Mr. Sinai, with us

We enjoyed our Labor Day weekend stay at Mount Sinai Cabin. We found the location to be easy to find and convenient to the Parkway and surrounding activities. What a welcome retreat the cabin was after being around the throngs of people at popular attractions! It was private, attractive, and comfortable. We hope to stay there again.
We stayed at this mountain retreat during a freak wind/snow storm where the temperatures dropped into single digits. The furnace was not working properly, but the prompt attention that was given by the owner when she was notified is to be commended!!! She was a pleasure to work with and was very concerned about our comfort. I would highly recommend this property to anyone simply because I know if anything needs attention, it will be given with speed and concern for the renters comfort!
We have stayed at the wonderful mountain retreat several times - in all four seasons. It is great any time of year with a new and beautiful view with every visit. Boone and Blowing Rock are convenient as well as Appalachian Ski Mountain.
