"Great trip to Vail"
We were very happy w/the lodging!! We have been to vail many times for shorter trips, but have always stayed in hotels. Since we were staying for longer, we looked into condos. The Vail Trails Chalet was great for many reasons!! AWESOME location, easy to find and furnishings in the condo were new, clean & just like the pictures. Even though the parking was uncovered, I liked that the parking space was just outside the door - very convenient. I would prefer a view of the mountain over a parking garage any day!! We would definitely stay here again!!
We had several complaints and difficulties while we were at this well located property. However, Berkshire Hathaway was pleasant and extremely responsive in addressing our requests. The stars are all for them. We would never stay there again unless we were desperate. We booked late and needed to be near the Ford Amphitheater.
Our stay at these Berkshire properties was fantastic. It was easy to book and we enjoyed our stay. The place is VERY close to the center of Vail Village. Only a 4-5 minute walk with skis to get to the main lift. Less of a walk to get to dinner or shopping. The immediate area is 100% residential, and there isn’t a convenience store even close, so shop before you get there. The staff helped us out with discounts on lift tickets and more. The cleaners did a fantastic job keeping the place in good shape. The actual accommodations were basic-king size bed with own bathroom in one room and queen with 2 singles in the other bathroom. Kitchen and Living room served its purpose, but who goes to Vail to sit around the condo? Great place. Only reason to NOT go back would be to get even closer to Vail Village, as this place was so close, I can’t imagine staying further away next time I visit.
PROS:Great location and walking to either lift 6 or gandola 1. 1st level also valuable. Working cable and good internet. Lots of windows and views up towards mountain. CONS: cofee maker did not work, limited cooking utensils, no large oven pan, ni smoke alarms or kitchen fans,
