The Owner purchased this cottage in 2009
We enjoy the arts, culture and wonderful people, fantastic music, and especially the cuisine in New Orleans. We fell in love with this neighborhood and decided to invest in this beautiful cottage.
This is a unique, adorable, very 'artsy' cottage in a perfect location. Surrounded by sublime music venues, fantastic restaurants in a precious neighborhood, we love spending time here.
Three girlfriends and I stayed at this rental at the end of Oct/beginning of November. It was our first time in New Orleans so we weren't sure what to expect. This house was perfect for us - very close to French Quarter and all the locations we wanted to see where in walking distance. There are great restaurants just around the corner, and wonderful music close by. The rental can be noisy, with a busy bar located right across the street, but it didn't bother us at all and really added to the overall wonderful experience. The house and patio are beautiful - well maintained and we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this rental and would definitely rent again. The owners were great to work with, and George is a real treasure!
I went with three people who had never been to New Orleans. The cottage was wonderful and the patio was great for having a drink and listening to the music from Frenchmen street. Great location with easy access to the French Quarter and to the streetcar. The owners were wonderful to work with! I would so use this house again.
My sister and I went to New Orleans for a birthday celebration. I have visited a number of times and stayed in other apts. but will be certain to book this cottage when we return again. The apt was fantastic and the owners could not have been more kind, thoughtful, attentive and professional. We felt like this was home for the week we were there!! The location, spacious rooms, artwork, and courtyard all added to the memories and wonderful time that we had. I have shared the cottage information with friends because I feel one should experience NOLA from this great location! Thank you.
I recently traveled to New Orleans with three other women for a birthday celebration. We definitely chose wisely by selecting this cottage for our stay.
The owners and property manager, George, were attentive and prompt communicators. The cottage had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. There are two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the sitting room. However, the layout of the cottage makes the sitting room quite private, in that the sofa bed can't be seen from the kitchen. There is also an armoire/wardrobe for clothing. So, travelers can consider the cottage as a three bedroom.
We had a wonderful stay in New Orleans, and would definitely recommend this cottage!
This was our first trip to New Orleans. We stayed for a week and absolutely loved the city and the cottage, so much so that we started planning our next trip back before we even left.
There is so much to do and see in the city that once is really not enough.
The cottage has so many wonderful qualities:
1. George the caretaker. George greeted us with a map that he reviewed and filled out with points of interest. When we noticed that only one of the showers had hot water George dealt with the situation graciously and immediately.
2. Location. We spent most nights on Frenchmen street so this location was unbelievably convenient for the walk back.
3. The private courtyard. It only rained one day of the trip so having the courtyard was a fantastic feature. It’s a well maintained private green space to sit out and enjoy the weather when taking a break from exploring.
4. The art work. The artwork selection is stunning. The owners truly care and invest in their space.
5. Keyless entry. Not having to carry around or coordinate keys was a definite plus for the group.
6. Washer/Dryer. Knowing these were available allowed us to pack light to ensure we had room to bring back art work :)
The Cottage is conveniently located near some delightful nooks to get great eats and listen to some fantastic music. We met so many wonderful and friendly people on the trip and we are so happy the cottage was a part of our New Orleans experience. We will definitely rent here again.
This was my first experience renting from a private individual. My wife and I were extremely pleased with everything. We highly recommend this location. Be sure to take the time to listen to the manager’s brief presentation. He was a wealth of good information. This place was clean and comfortable. We plan on coming back.
