About Audrey

We are Doug & Audrey Covington and lived in the Kremmling area for 17 years. Although we now reside most of the year in AZ, we were drawn to the Kremmling area for its outdoor lifestyle. We are avid hunters, fishermen and snowboarders. Living in Kremmling afforded us to enjoy all our activities close to home. We really liked the small town, friendly attitude of Kremmling's residents. We, as well as our 9 wonderful children, look forward to our CO vacations several times a year now, to enjoy all of the outdoor opportunities that Kremmling offers. All of our children look forward to snowboarding at nearby Granby Ranch during the winter months and also enjoy ice fishing.

Audrey purchased this house in 2008

Great Place!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at Red Dirt Lodge. It's in a great location with easy access to the Gore Range and Wolford Reservoir. Close enough to town to be convenient but still out of the way enough to feel away from it all. The accommodations were comfortable, the kitchen was very functional and the views from the deck are spectacular. It was great being able to bring our dog along! Highly recommend.

Hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

What a comfy palace to stay in the mountains! It may not be the newest place, but the thoughtfulness we received from our owners and their staff sealed the deal! It feels like you're arriving at your own place in the mountains, with everything set up and ready for you to light a fire and start cooking dinner. The cabin is very comfy and clean, with spectacular views at all times of day. The kitchen is well stocked with all the expected utensils and staples and then some, a bottle of wine was left for us on arrival, and the driveway was freshly plowed. With a little more snow overnight our 2wheel drive car had a little trouble getting out our first morning, we texted the owner since more snow was predicted for that evening and within minutes had a promise that the plow guy would be out when we needed him! The beds were comfy and the home stayed warm all night after having the fire burning all evening (very low maintenance, lots of dry seasoned wood standing by!). Everything we could possibly need was taken care of very thoughtfully. A very comfy very clean place with great responsive owners and access to great recreation around Kremmling! Thanks for the great stay!

Comfortable Relaxation!!!

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful stay. This was our 4th visit. This place has become our home away from home. What a great place to escape from the trappings of the busy city! Played hard for 3 days on the snow machines in incredible snow, then come back to the lodge to relax with the family, share the tales of the day, and warm by the wood stove. Who needs the furnace when there's such a great wood stove!? All the modern amenities, with a rustic flare. The kids LOVED the wood burning stove, and we really enjoyed the entire stay. What a Diamond in the rough, how do we keep the lodge a secret? Will be back before the end of winter, and a summer visit is sure to come. Oh, the deer out the window every morning was pretty cool. THANKS for treating us like family!
