Kelly White and Heidi Sipe are a father-daughter team who manage the bookings and property. When you book, it's Heidi you're working with and she'll do all she can to make sure your trip is enjoyable. Once you arrive, Kelly is there to greet you. He's also just up the road for any needs that may arise. For hunters, Kelly is also available for guiding. Mingo Mountain Retreat is more than just Kelly and Heidi's dream though, the whole family pitches in. Heidi's husband, Kyle, and son, Caden, help with all the major renovations. Heidi's daughter, Cameron, and mom, Tess, help with decor and supplies. Heidi's brother, Dane, is always willing to lend a hand for construction and property updates. Mingo Mountain Retreat, LLC is our shared business, and our shared family dream.
Heidi purchased this Farmhouse in 2010
Why Heidi chose Kettle Falls
This property was built in 1906 and has been owned by members of Kelly's family for most of its history. His aunt and uncle, Bob and Helen Lowry, bought the home in the 1970's and we bought it from their children in 2010 because we couldn't fathom the idea of the home being sold outside the family.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
This house feels like home to all who enter. It is rustic, it is historic, it is cozy. We often hear, "Oh, my grandmother had these dishes," or "The garage smells like my grandpa's shop!" That's the best summary of this house- it's a place you instantly know when you arrive and it's a great place to be reminded of fond family memories. More importantly, it's a great house in which to make new family memories as there's plenty of room for everyone!

Loved the area. Would most definitely go back.
Thank you for coming. We'd love to have you back again! You were wonderful guests.
Comfortable in the Country
Grateful to the owner for having the house prepared for me and my 4 brothers. We felt right at home and enjoyed our time there. We watched deer and turkeys walk across the property every day.
Thank you for your review. We were honored to host your family.
Our "family reunion" in Kettle Falls was greatly enhanced for those of us fortunate enough to be able to stay at Kelly & Heidi's Mingo Mountain Retreat, Our daughter found it online and contacted Kelly, then we easily completed the arrangements with Heidi. The place is so pleasant, having such a "homey" feel, with character & furnishings reminding one of "Grandma's House". Our family's visiting with each other was eased late into every night by the old-fashioned comfort that we felt. Our only regret is that it will probably be a long time before we have need to stay there again! Highly recommended for friends & family groups having use for up to 6 bedrooms.
Thank you for visiting. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
A peaceful vacation
We just spent a restful week at Mingo Mountain. The simple charm of this old farm house looking out over the wooded valley is perfect. The walleye fishing in Lake Roosevelt is spectacular most years and this summer was no exception. Turkey's and deer abound in the hay fields around the house. A family of Red Naped Sap Suckers lives in the cherry trees next to the barn - how cool is that?
A really nice family to do business with period. Come a stranger leave a friend. Heidi and her dad Kelly will do anything to make your stay memorable. I can't wait to come back next year.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again next year. Thanks for letting us know about the Red Naped Sap Suckers- we had no idea that's what those were called!
We found a wonderful country get-away
Four of us had a week-long "Sisters Week" in June, 2011. The house is not fancy but is "Farm House" interesting and very comfortable. Kelly, the landlord, is friendly and helpful.
This is a quiet country seeting; however, there is much to do around Kettle Falls. We particularly enjoyed the view from the top of the hill behind the house, visiting the impressive flower gardens across the road, exploring the Sherman Log Flume, the Historical Society Museum and St. Paul's Mission. Don't miss Meyer's Grocery with healthy food choices and a small cafe that does addictive soups and the best ever smoothies.
We enjoyed your group! Thank you for sharing your tips for great places to enjoy in the area. We look forward to seeing you again.
Perfect for a truly refreshing getaway!
This was one of the most relaxing, refreshing vacations I've ever had! The house was clean, quaint and fun! (lots of old games, books, antique furniture) The view from by bedroom window every morning I woke was breathtaking as the sun came streaming in through the walnut trees and across the wood floors as I slept in my antique bed. We went on a great hike through the woods, sat in the yard and watched the deer (tons of them!!), went antique and thrift store shopping ( a great one is in Kettle Falls just about 10 min. away) and just generally had a great time! We can't wait to go back.
Thank you for staying. We're glad you enjoyed your time and look forward to your return visit.
The house is located just 3.5 miles from Kettle Falls, WA (about 6 miles from the boat launch on Lake Roosevelt), and 10 miles from Colville, WA yet is located on 370 private acres with access to a total of 450 private acres for hunting, hiking, photography and relaxing.
