First of all, there was a mix up and mistake made on my part and we ended up in the wrong apartment. I felt terrible! Katie, the property manager told me everything was fine and to just enjoy our stay...which we did. The apaprtment is cute, towels and hand towels are supplied. We had a full kitchen with everything (except food) provided. The space slept 5 adults comfortability. We spent most of our time in the city but having an extra day to hang out in the neighborhood would have been nice. The apartment is located about 5 blocks for a subway. When we come back to the city I will definitely check to see if this place is available.
Charming historic apartment in Ridgewood, NY
This was our second visit to the property, and the convenience, cleanliness, charm, and good appliances & bedding remain at high standards. Would recommend to anyone wanting to come to New York for a visit, but not necessarily wanting to stay in the busy, noisy city!
We had a fantastic few days staying in this apartment. First, it is beautiful, with really interesting design details, fixtures, furniture, flooring, etc. We were four adults and one child and every bed was comfortable, linens too. We spent most of our time out, but ate breakfast and one dinner in and we had no trouble finding what we needed in the kitchen. The Associated grocery store a couple blocks away was surprisingly good for putting together an excellent meal, it had a deli section with baguettes and good cheeses and a good produce selection. As noted in the description, the subway was a short 10 minute walk and really convenient for getting into Manhattan quickly. Katie, the property manager, could not have been nicer or more responsive when we had any questions. I have nothing bad to say!!! Well, a couple suggestions: the pillows were great, but no extras, so bring your own if you like more than one. The living room could use a lamp in addition to the overhead light and one more comfortable chair if there are more than four people sitting in there at once. The dishwasher beeps repeatedly when it's done, we were not sure whether it would beep forever because one of us always woke up to turn it off, so beware. Otherwise, perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay.....we will be back!
Great space for a family of four.
We have 2 teens and the apartment was great for us. Roomy and nice LR and kitchen spaces. About a 7 block walk to subway, with 2 markets near the apartment. Worked well for our 4 night stay visiting NYC for the first time.
Good sized unit with beautiful kitchen!
My friends and I (4 total) stayed here for a weekend in Brooklyn. We had a very nice stay, and the property manager was very responsive. I would offer one suggestion, and that would be to get some new towels. The existing bath towels have a strong mildew odor. Other than that, everything was great, and I would recommend for a stay (especially for families or groups).
We stayed at this lovely apartment first weekend in December. We had a great time and great experience. The apartment is absolutely charming with lovely kitchen. The management team is great and accommodating. Located within short and easy walk to the subway station.
Highly recommend it!
Straddling the neighborhoods of Bushwick, Brooklyn and Ridgewood, Queens, the apartment is 5 blocks away from the Dekalb Street 'L' train station in Brooklyn—one of the best subway lines in the city. Union Square, the heart of downtown Manhattan, is only 15 minutes away via a direct subway ride; Williamsburg, Brooklyn's stylish boutiques, bars and restaurants are only a 7 minute train ride away.
Ours is a quieter, more residential neighborhood, but it is in an exciting stage of growth. In the last 5 years there has been a huge influx of artists and creatives in our immediate area. As a result, there is now a solid (and rapidly growing) number of stylish cafes, restaurants, wine bars, art galleries, yoga studios, and a great 24-hour gourmet/organic grocery store all within a 10-12 minute walk from the apartment. There are also local Italian bakeries, Halal butcher shops, Equadorian bodegas, Polish food markets and the best tasting Mexican tamales we've ever come across. All relevant information can be found in our Guest Welcome binder in the apartment and we hope that you will explore these local gems during your visit.
