Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Jeff; Thank you so much for renting your house to us and making every thing so easy. In addition to the abundance of space, I was delighted by all the little details I didn't expect, the lovely linens, the Bordeaux glasses, the Zinnias on the driveway, and even the City Market discount card. As a chronic whiner with a creaky back, I have to confess that I slept like a baby on whatever mattress you chose. You really thought of everything.

We had a wonderful week and it was the perfect backdrop for our families (who hadn't met before!) to get to know each other. We will remember our stay here with great fondness- Thank you.

If I talk to anyone headed your way, I will definitely talk up your place, and if you ever need a reference, please don't hesitate to use my e-mail. Thanks again for everything-

Warmly- Suzanne

A Great House

  • 4 of 5

The house is in a quiet section of Aspen. Our party appreciated the neighborhood and the calm nature of the location.

We housed 12 people in the house for a wedding. We had guests from all partts of the US and overseas. The layout of the house worked exceptionally well for a group of this kind. The bedroom layout allowed for privacy, but not isolation. Bathrooms were great and sufficient for all guests. The common areas (living, dining, kitchen) were centrally located and well sized.

The outside deck was a nice "get-a-way" space despite some road noise.

This was an excellent housing solution for our party and Jeff, the owner, was willing and ready to help in any way he could to make our stay comfortable - he ceratinly will go the extra mile.

Perfect location and for a large group! Wonderful Experience!

  • 5 of 5

If you have a budget, and a large group looking for the best location in Aspen, stop looking now because this is the house you are looking for! We wanted a place that was close to town so we wouldn't have to drink and drive, or find parking and conveniently; Jeff&Judy's rental house is on the shuttle bus loop that comes every 15 minutes (to and from town). Skiing was a breeze, and almost a luxury experience.

Having couples and singles in our large group was a total non issue, thanks to all the bedrooms and alternative floor plan layouts Jeff & Judy set up before we arrived.

You get what you pay for, as this is not the fanciest house in Aspen, but it is very pretty, cozy and extremely functional. The new hot tub was amazing to have after skiing, and has a picturesque view of Aspen mountain!

We would love to come back, because not only was the house in the best location but Jeff and Judy were wonderful for work with through the entire rental process. I would highly recommend their rental any day of the week! Hope you have as much fun as we did at this perfect VBRO!

Excellent, large, affordable house with easy access to Aspen

  • 5 of 5

Jeff & Judy were terrific to deal with, answered questions ahead of our trip, handled small problems while we were there, and generally made our stay really comfortable.

Our extended family of 12 adults and 3 children stayed comfortably with all the kids in the downstairs family room with their parents. This allowed the adults to continue to enjoy the family fun after the kids were in bed.

We did have several vehicles, but the bus stop 3 doors down allowed extra flexibility getting into town, and allowed us to scatter to our own activities every day.

It was an activity packed week, with skiing, kids’ ski lessons and snow tubing, snowmobiling the Independence Pass Tour with T-Lazy7, Snowcat dinner with the kids at Lynn Britt Cabin, and 2 of our group did an “Epic” fly fishing trip on Friday.

The hot tub really hit the spot after our long and tiring days of skiing, and wireless Internet connectivity kept everyone in touch and up to date with their social media bragging, not to mention setting up our brackets for March Madness (congrats to the 2 winners who had (home town) Villanova going all the way).

I could go on and on, but, in summary, THANK YOU !

A comfortable home in a beautiful setting and superb personal attention

  • 5 of 5

This house was just as advertised and perfect for our ski group of 11 men. The ability to separate the kings into two separate beds allowed all to have their own bed (a must for men). Jeff picked us up AND dropped us off at the airport. He was a phone call away, but honestly, we had no need as the house was so well equipped. The dining room table was big enough to fit us all, as was the living room where we all watched the Super Bowl together. I highly recommend.

Ski holiday for Kiwi's

  • 4 of 5

We had 3 families on holiday from New Zealand to ski the beautiful Aspen mountains. The house is a great size. We gave the 7 teenage kids the whole downstair level and they were more than happy and so were we. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of crockery and cutlery, glasses and fantastic pots and pans. It was very easy to work in and around. Jeff popped in to help out with instructions as we had trouble with the TV's and a few electrical issues but he managed to sort them for us and was very helpful. We hired his car for the duration, which we found very useful as it is a small distance to the city centre and we seemed to have difficulty with the shuttle from Aspen, the driver was very grumpy the one time we actually managed to get on the bus. All in all we loved the house and had the most enjoyable holiday with wonderful memories. Thank you Jeff and Judy.

HOME minutes from ASPEN

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at this home during the Christmas holiday 2015 . The owners Jeff and Judy were very accommodating to our needs. We had two families, and had plenty of room. They set up a Christmas tree and lightly decorated the home as requested. It was very nice and appreciated! The home kitchen is very well equipped to feed 10-14 persons everyday for every meal! We served Chili one night and were short bowls. The next day, Judy brought more bowls (we simply used mugs!) The location of the home is walking distance (3-4 homes away) to the shuttle stop, which takes you right into town and the City Market. From there, you can get to all of the ski mountains, and enjoy Aspen without having to deal with a car, if you choose. Only issues we had were the cable did not work throughout the home, and one of the shower faucets did not work. They tried to fix both, but were not able within the time we were there. The home is older, and simply needs some upkeep and repairs. They were attentive, and tried. We had a GREAT vacation in their home! Thank you Jeff and Judy.

We were unfortunately SCAMMED on a prior reservation in Aspen, and Judy and Jeff were so kind to give us a small discount! That was very appreciated. For future travel, be very cautious of homes on the VRBO website, as homes are NOT vetted. Be sure to speak to the homeowners, and never send funds to another country. This home is REAL, and is exactly as shown and described in the pictures and description.
