The courses offer tight fairways, formidable doglegs, breathtaking hazards, and varying elevations, Shanty Creek’s golf courses put golfers in an enviable position—trying to read and play those challenging greens amid the stunning views. Golf Tom Weiskopf designed Cedar River Course, Arnold Palmers, The Legend, the Schuss Mountain course - a favorite among locals who annually name it one of the top public courses in Michigan and Shanty Creeks original course - the Summit.
The resorts 4500 acres also provides for outdoor activities, including Indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs, restaurants and entertainment.
You will also have access to the private beach club on Lake Bellaire.
What to do outside the resort?: Golf 4 wonderful courses, swim, boat, use the pools and hot tubs, sightsee - you'll run out of time before you run out of things to do. Please enjoy the resort restaurants and shopping, and visit the great places in Bellaire. There is a movie theatre, video store, grocery store, some cool shops, coffee shops (Moka) and restaurants. One of our favorites is Starlight – and don’t miss out on a visit to Shorts. In the resort, try Lakeview – it really does have a fantastic view of Lake Bellaire, or Ivan’s over at Schuss Village. If you get a chance to go a little further, Dockside on Torch Lake is a fun place to eat with a great setting on the lake. A few more miles will get you to Alden (don’t miss Higgins for the best ice cream around), or Traverse City, Petoskey and Charlevoix.

This place was great and perfect for our vacation. There was plenty of room for the toddlers to play on the first floor. We loved being so close to the slopes as it allowed us to easily get some night-skiing in. Would definitely recommend this condo!
Our first vacation to Michigan, it was everything we hoped for and more. The trip had gorgeous scenery and quaint towns along the way. The property was as advertised, slightly dated but certainly met our needs. Centrally located for any activity it also provided a quiet get-a-way that we were looking for, truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
The condo was the perfect size for our group and was just minutes from the wedding reception. Being located right at the top of the ski lift makes us consider renting again in future ski/board seasons!
Condo was close to the pools and restaurants on the property which was great for kids. Condo itself is outdated and needs some maintaince. Perfect location for boating the chain of lakes which was out reason for vacationing. Property manager (Jane)was great
Our winter getaway with my family was wonderful except for a couple of major concerns. We had 3 small children ages 3 years to 1 1/2. The top balcony railings are not up to code and any one of them could have fallen through. This would be the same on the deck but we couldn't get out of the door because it was frozen. There are doors to closets in the kitchen that have locks on them but no keys to open them. Thank goodness that the manager Jane was available to open the door. MAJOR issue is that there isn't any fire alarms in the condo and the upper level have no exit window in case of a fire. I'm sorry we found all these issues since the condo is in a great location for skiing and tubing. I agree with the comments of the previous post that this condo needs some serious updates. Property Manager Jane is wonderful to work with, thank you so much.
