The Owner purchased this condo in 2007
The beautiful beaches of PC and this ***** resort.
We enjoy the fresh seafood, ocean spa, perfect view ... and we count our blessings!
It was nice. Could have been cleaned better before we came. Great view!
this is a well decorated condo, that looks exactly like the photos on the website. There was nothing wrong with the condo other than the light being out near the tub in the master bathroom, but it was not a problem due to the other lighting available. The condo was not spotless, nor was it nasty. Just not as clean as I would like. The resort is so pretty. I was disappointed to find out I needed to pay the amenity fees upon our arrival for the use of the pool (I guess that was what it was for even though we didn't use the pool). I have read and reread all of the information provided to me before my agreeing to rent this condo and couldn't find any reference to the fees for the wristbands. The parking deck was terrible..... upon arriving i was grateful that at the last minute we decided not to use the luggage rack that you place on top of an SUV. We would have never fit in the garage and was only a few inches to spare without it and finding a parking space was tough, but can be done with some patience. I do know that if the amenity fees as well as the height of the parking deck would have been explained property description, I would have passed right over this rental. I guess these two things were not listed for this reason. Even as I am writing this I have rechecked the property description again for the information. It was a nice vacation and we tried to be as patient as possible with the parking space situation as well as the elevators. the view from the balcony was pretty. Again, i think it is only common courtesy to provide this type of information to someone renting your condo. thank you
the unit was just like the pics and the resort was beautiful as well. it looked sort of clean...meaning there was no mess. upon further inspection there were a few issues but nothing major. the parking was a big issue and if you could rent a parking space I didn't know anything about it. another issue was the amenity fees and even this morning I have checked this site again for an indication that I was required to pay those fees. I paid those and never complained to anyone at the resort, but for future renters, you may want to indicate that fee in the description. one review says the owner paid those fees for them, maybe mine was paid for too and I didn't know it. there were no maintenance issues other than light bulb being out in the master bath near the tub, but we could still see so we didn't worry about it. we couldn't get the wifi to work and followed the instructions, but we just used our own data and didn't complain about that. I hate to say I will not come back to the resort.... that has nothing to do with the unit or the owner. again unit was great, beautifully decorated and there was enough room for everyone. that parking deck is awful especially if you drive an SUV, we almost did not fit under the bars leading into the garage..so maybe you could indicate in the description the height of the bars and that the spaces are very small. I didn't experience any rudeness fron the staff but we never had to ask any questions. I think most of things we had issues with would have probably been avoided if those things would have been int he description of the condo. sadly, if you had indicated the height of the bars in parking deck and that I was required to pay for those wrist bands upon arriving...I would not have rented the condo. maybe that's why those things aren't listed. I guess I would call it common courtesy to let the "customers" know exactly what to expect. we had a great vacation and again you have a great unit. hopefully you take this review as constructive and not negative and I do not mean to offend anyone. I cleaned the unit upon leaving as much as I could with the supplies that I had with me, I was upset that I could not clean it more before I left... thanks again
Rented this unit 7/4/15 - 7/11/15 (But left 3 days early)
My family and I have been on many vacations all over and to Panama City many times. And this was by far the worst vacation we have ever had. We actually left Wednesday evening (3 Days early) because it was so horrible. I’m just glad my 4 month old won’t remember his first trip to the beach. I've requested a refund. Wish i had read the reviews before spending this type of money.
This is definitely not a family resort. Would not recommend at all.....
Below are just some of the issues we had:
- Took 4 hours to check in to the resort. There was not adequate parking to unload truck so we had to park at walmart and drag everything to our room. (multiple trips to and from truck). Then had to wait about 35-45 min for elevator each time.
- I had to park 1/2 mile away. Pay 4$ a day for parking. And had to walk to and from when we wanted to get away from the resort. Some days in the rain.
- Elevators were horrible. We had to wait 35-45 min to take elevator each time. We spent most of the time walking up and down 8 flights of stairs.
- We did not have air conditioning the entire stay. The room stayed around 82-85 degrees. I called about this when we checked in and when the AC guy came out he was there for maybe 10 min and said he couldn’t do anything to fix it. Said That the building was just too hot….. So we stayed smothered the entire stay. And my 4 month old sweated to death.
- We also couldn’t even enjoy the balcony most of the time. There was so much pot smoke around that if you opened the balcony door, the smell would just fill the condo. I talked to the front desk and and security many times and they did absolutely nothing.
- The pool and Hot tub were just nasty.
- The front desk and workers were the rudest people I have ever met. They were no help with anything what so ever.
- We actually had to pay $259 for wrist bands to use the pool. Some of our wrist bands faded because of the water and they actually made me pay for new ones.
- We then got locked out of our room because the coded door stopped working. We were locked out of our room for probably 3-4 hrs, while we waited for the maintenance guy. He showed up, but then took him awhile to try and break into the room, then had to go to hardware store to get a new one..
- Once it gets dark there is nothing but screaming and yelling from the balconies and people throwing stuff off balconies all day. Security does nothing.
The unit was not clean. The sheets were sandy and did not smell clean. The floors were dirty. The furniture and ceiling fans were very dirty. There are 2.5 baths and we were provided a total of 4 bath towels, 4 hand towels and 2 wash cloths!!! The kitchen was not well equipped. The air conditioner never caught up when set at 73. Wrist bands required for access on this property were thankfully paid for by this owner, however the access control system did not work well at all causing much congestion. One access to and from the beach is not enough for a property this size. People waited to get out and waited to get in! There is not enough parking. If you don't get a reserved space with your unit, you may not have a place to park! Don't stay in a unit higher than what you are willing to take the stairs to! The elevator wait is ridiculous! The staff at the Shores was rude. We will not return to this property.
The condo was mediocre. There is not enough seating in the eating area for a family of six. When we first arrived the condo was not at its cleanest. There were empty water bottles and broken glass on the floor and even a food stuck on the refrigerator. The Wi-Fi in the condo was not working and even after reporting it, it still never worked. This facility was overall nice, but in the evenings there is shouting from the balconies that made you feel like you're in a romper room.
