About Ethan & Fabiane
It started years ago with a dream in the desert, a small house in the middle of nowhere overlooking thousands of baron acreage bordering Joshua Tree National Park. When Ethan and Fabiane purchased the home, it was initially painted all white with minimal landscaping and described by friends and family as a “sterile box without personality.” But what they envisioned was a house of infinite possibilities. As avid rock climbers and desert dwellers, they looked at their home as part of the desert; a living and breathing organism. They brought in top designers and landscapers to mirror the conceptual mix of colors of the desert, blues and greens representing the sky, yellows and reds like the sunrises and sunsets, and browns and tans like the mountains. They named their home Joshua Tree Oasis (JTO) and took great pride in their life-long creation. Being big believers in Karma and the feeling that the beauty and love that they poured into the house would be reciprocated, they opened their doors to the world and began to share their Oasis as a vacation rental with others. They only wanted renters they felt would love and respect JTO’s appearance and cleanliness as much as they did. They take great care to get to know their clientele and will personally speak with each customer prior to renting to them to begin a relationship based upon mutual trust.

From beginning to end the process was easy and communication with owners great. The property itself is quite unique and the setting heavenly. We will be back.
Everything we needed
We were a group of 7 brothers and friends from highschool, looking for a dessert getaway. This place was perfect for us. We fit comfortably in the 4 large beds and 2 couches. The best part of this property is the access to dessert hiking and mini-adventure right out the back door.
This property has everything you could want. Great location, easy access to hiking, fire pit, horseshoes, hammocks, and so inviting to just take it easy. Absolutely wonderful.
We didn't want to leave!
The house is exactly as you hope it will be from the photos and descriptions. We had a wonderful stay with our family, star gazing, relaxing, being together in a beautiful place. Thank you so much for the memories!
A beautiful place to spend the holidays
My husband, daughter and I live east of the Mississippi. My two sons and daughter-in-law live on the west coast. We were looking for the perfect place to gather for the holidays and we found it in Joshua Tree Oasis. My oldest is a Park Ranger at Joshua Tree NP. My other son and DIL are expecting their first child and didn't want a lot of travel, so for them it was a short plane ride from Oregon, which made for a perfect location. The property had a well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed to spend several nights eating in and enjoying each other's company. The beds were some of the most comfortable on which we have slept. Both boys had the chance to enjoy the hot tub. I enjoyed the fabulous bathtub in the master bath with another amazing view. We happened to be there during the once in 20 year snow, so it was a great place for us to reconnect. The views from the house are absolutely stunning! We saw various birds including a hummingbird, rabbits and Jackrabbits, and a whole pack of coyotes! There were no bad views! I hope to return some day when it is warmer and the hiking and rock climbing in the park are not hindered by 8 inches of snow!
The house is very comfortable and well appointed. I will say that I did not read the listing carefully and did not realize that there was no washer and dryer. That was not a problem, but I wanted to help you, dear reader, be more aware than I was. I realized that I assumed, and we all know what happens when one assumes. ;-)
Book your stay at Monument Manor, aka Joshua Tree Oasis and you will not be disappointed. I look forward to returning!
Perfect quiet getaway location next to Joshua tree. Everything was as described with plenty of daily use supplies. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.
