Ridgeview Manor is magicial. We stayed here and got married here and the grounds are well kept, the house is beyond beautiful and James was so helpful and available from day one. We would highly recommend the house without hesitation and hope to be back soon!

My husband’s immediate family, my immediate family, my husband, our dog and I stayed at this beautiful home in late April for a family get together and it was beyond perfect. Somehow it was even better in person! James was very helpful and easy to work with, he was quick to respond and very personable. The house is fully stocked with everything you’d need as far as dishes, cooking utensils, games, etc. The house is very spacious and perfect for large families - we had 8 kids with us and we all had our own space and were never on top of each other but all the while being very cozy and not too far from each other. The property is beautiful and perfect for outdoor fun. It’s an easy, quick drive to downtown Boone yet secluded in the mountains for privacy. My family and I have stayed in many vacation homes around North Carolina and Virginia and this house has by far been the best! I tell everyone about this property because I feel like it’s almost too good to be true. We were beyond comfortable the entire time and our only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer. We love Ridgeview Manor and hope to stay there again very soon!

Truly Elegant Home with Top Notch Mountain View

  • 5 of 5

Our family rented the home for a wedding after the bride-to-be fell in love with the home at first sight. It did not disappoint.

The home is both spacious and elegant yet also very comfortable and warm. Every one of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. We had booked well in advance and could easily see improvements added by the owner during the year such as the sauna. It's a well-maintained property with an abundance of features - theater room, spacious laundry room, pool, covered porches, grill, fire pit, etc. The suites are all very private and comfortable. The main floor rooms feature abundant windows that bring the mountain view inside.

Outdoors are unobstructed mountain views from just about any vantage point - far nicer than some well-known area resorts we had considered initially. At other places, we'd seen views cluttered with tennis courts or worse. The views at Ridgeview Manor are just perfection.

If you need to park more than six or eight vehicles at the property, you will need to make a plan with the owner. We used High Country Tours shuttle service for our guests and it went very well.

Top Of The World

  • 5 of 5

Ridgeview Manor is a beautiful property. This house truly had it all for our family group of 15, ranging in age from 3 to 72. The pool provided all-day fun and the neighborhood has lots of places to hike and run. The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable and well-appointed, with private bathrooms. A highlight for us was grilling and eating outside, taking in the incredible views. The proximity to shopping is perfect - the world's best Harris Teeter is right at the foot of the mountain. We would absolutely choose this property again, and in fact, all of the kids in the family are asking when we can go back! Without question, an outstanding place to spend a vacation week.

Lovely mansion in the woods

  • 5 of 5

My grandchildren exclaimed "It's a castle!" as we pulled in the driveway at the top of the mountain. The views in every direction are what you would hope for in a Blue Ridge Mountains home. Walking in the house you are immediately struck with the sweeping high ceilings, the beautiful stonework, and the classy but comfortable decor. The kitchen is large, functional, and has two of each major appliance. The house is well-maintained and very clean and inviting. Then you walk out to the pool - almost 25 meters in length - and realize you will be spending a lot of time there. At the end of a busy day of hiking and swimming you retreat to large, comfortable bedrooms with views from every window. This house handles a multi-generational family easily with spaces to be together and spaces to retreat and be alone to work or read or rest as needed. We spent so much time outdoors that we never used the sauna, billiards room, or movie theater room, but they are there for rainy days if you are less fortunate than we were with beautiful cool mountain days. The only drawback is slow internet - inevitable because you are in the mountains relying on satellite connections, not the fast cable wifi you are accustomed to in cities - but a compromise you simply have to live with. Cellular connections are borderline there as well. Hopefully newer technologies will improve that in the next year or so, but come prepared to largely disconnect and rest. There is a lot to do in the Boone area - hiking, water sports, golf, and quaint amusements parks for younger kids. But if you never left the property you would have plenty to keep you active and entertained. We will be returning in the future, and commend this home as a nice alternative to the traditional beach house for a fun summer vacation.
