Dear Kimberly, Monica, and Norma,
My family members join me in sending each of you heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful time that we had at Casa Morocco.
Kimberly, your home is exquisite, and it provided a relaxing and adventurous time for all of us. Thank you for creating such a special place and also for your helpful advanced information that you provided to us.
Monica, you were incredibly faithful in your communication and advice before and during the trip. Your guidance improved the quality of our overall experience.
Norma, what a treat it was to have your authentic Mexican family treats. You were gracious and hospitable, and it was lovely to interact with you and your mother.
We are all launched now in 2014 in such a positive way. We will be carrying the spirit of Casa Morocco with us.
With every good wish for 2014,
Where to start ? We were awestruck upon arrival at Casa Morocco on Isla Mujeres. Everyone in our party went from room to room exclaiming how amazing it was. The home is even better than the pictures suggest. The main floor is perfect - 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living area, the 2nd floor suites are grand - large sitting areas, incredible kitchens & bathrooms and each with a balcony facing the ocean. On that 2nd floor there's also a covered deck area looking toward Cancun, which was a great spot to retreat to for some privacy, while still enjoying a breathtaking view. We watched the locals pass by in their Good Friday parade from this deck ! The third floor rooftop deck is delightful, although the week we were there it was quite windy so we couldn't get the barbeque to stay lit and it was a bit too windy to sit up there and enjoy the view. That's alright, because we planted ourselves on the main floor wooden sundeck with lots of chairs & chaise lounges, it's a stone's throw from the ocean. (This side isn't really swimmable, unless you're a strong swimmer.) The pool is very refreshing and we got amazing pictures of our party sitting on the edge looking toward the ocean. A bonus is the number of towels that are supplied - bathrooms had lovely white bath towels and there were seemingly two sets of pool/beach towels - some just regular towel size and other full beach towel size, but we never ran out!!! The kitchens are adequately stocked with utensils and dishes - if you're a chef bring your own knives! Having our groceries purchased and "stocked" into the fridge was fantastic (the small charge is well worth it!). The maids were lovely, just two small concerns - they really only come twice during your stay (Tues&Thurs) so if you really depend on housekeeping, 3 days would work better (mon/wed/fri) but we managed just fine; secondly, they don't speak much English (ok for us, we didn't expect them too, but it could be difficult if you don't have any Spanish - bring a dictionary!)
We also rented a golf cart for the week, which given the proximity of Casa Morocco to the touristy, north end of the island, you don't really need, unless you're not walkers! The problem is parking. We lucked out because the property next door is currently abandoned, so we used the driveway, but if/when there are residents, I suspect it won't be available. The property manager is incredibly helpful and just a phone call away. We highly recommend Casa Morocco for an unforgettable holiday!
Casa Morocco is a beautiful property on the gorgeous coast line on Isla Mujeres, Mexico. The attention to detail on this home is extraordinary, the staff is excellent and very hard working and always there to help if anything is needed. The pool and the roof top patio are fantastic for lounging around and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Morocco and look forward to having more vacations in this lovely home. Isla Mujeres is absolutely beautiful, the shopping is great, the beaches are wonderful and the activities on the island are abundant. We enjoyed several restaurants while we were there for the week and the food was delicious everywhere we went. We will definitely rent this property again in the future.
The pictures on the website do not do this place justice. We were blown away at how exquisitely detailed everything was. Spick and span clean and new. We could not believe that anyone had ever even stayed here before, everything looked brand new. The full suites upstairs were spectacular. The pool is unbelievable and very refreshing. Kim the owner was super helpful, and the manager and cleaning ladies were the best. Great location, great house. We'll be back.
We had a wonderful time. Casa Morocco is a lovely property. Well taken care of. Beautifully designed. Great proximity to town. Hard to think of complaints. Thank you Kimberly for everything.
A truly beautiful villa in a perfect location - quiet with just the right amount of busy because you're close enough to walk to town and all that it offers. The pictures are completely accurate and the beauty and tranquility of this ocean front location is wonderful. We vacationed for 2 weeks which was too short and there were 4 couples - the villa was the perfect size for us and we all loved it, sitting on the various terraces just watching and listening to the tide - my personal favorite was morning coffee on the terrace. The villa advertises satellite TV and WiFi - there were issues with the TV and the WiFi connection in the upper suites is location specific - not a big deal on vacation but something to be aware of and I understand the owner is addressing the issues. The property manager was very helpful and responsive as required. Will definitely return but for longer next time!
WOW! Simply amazing! Four couples traveled from Atlanta, Georgia to celebrate a 25th Anniversary and a 50th birthday and we had a most wonderful time! To begin, Kimberly couldn't have been more helpful in getting extra information to the group to get things all lined up. We were set up with our transfer from the airport straight on to the Ferry by private motorcoach that they set up for us. When we arrived to the house, Norma, met us and took on a tour and helped us to get settled in showing us all of the ins and outs. The house is so beautiful and serene. All of the women were hugging each other because we were so excited to be in such a fabulous place! Each bedroom is fully equipped with all of your needs and wants. Everything is highend and very nice. Each bedroom area is quiet and privacy is not an issue. The third floor rooftop living area is simply wonderful! You see water on all sides of the house, a wonderful table to have dinner, lounge in the hot-tub, take in breathtaking sunsets. Norma the local housemanger set up coming to cook a wonderful authentic Mexican dinner for us where they served us beginning on the rooftop with drinks and fabulous cerviche and then a wonderful dinner was served in the dining room. She set up a musician to come and play during our evening. Massage people can be set up to come to the house as well. Monica is the main house manager and she will take care of any problem that might arise. The house is in a great location on the island, sort of in the middle of the island. We loved exploring all ends of the island and felt like this was the perfect location for our stay. Everyone in our party had great things to say about staying in Casa Morocco! The beach is such a delight for hunting seaglass and treasures right in front of the house! Take a blow up raft to enjoy floating in the infinity pool, sit back and let your city stress just ease away! You too will be awed!! Thank you- Kimberly, Monica and Norma for making our vacation a most memorable event!! We do hope to come back!
