This home has tons of space and is very well suited to a large group. The layout was perfect for hanging out together in the evening after a day on the water. There were lots of us to feed and the kitchen/ dining areas fit us well. The hot water never ran out even though we all cleaned up around the same time, and boy, was the water hot. The tile throughout downstairs was so handy, as we commonly came in wet from the boat and didn't have to worry that we were ruining carpet. The dock and deck were very conveniently set up and allowed us to dock and clean up the boat without trouble. We didn't spend much time there during the day (we woke up, ate, and went out on the water!), but we were happy with the TV options and the tons of books left by other travelers. The house is pretty convenient to groceries, etc. The kitchen was well set up for cooking (plenty of pots and pans, cooking utensils, plates, etc), but I'd recommend planning pretty simple meals. Chest freezer in the garage was really convenient for ice and bait. Plan to bring or purchase dishwasher detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, all toiletries, and kitchen garbage bags. It's always nice to find that the home you've booked is as described - in this case it was better than we expected!
Outstanding condo with plenty of room. Quality throughout and well maintained. Location is great with excellent fishing close by. We ate fish everyday. Kayaking & paddle boarding off the dock. We also caught (and released) a six foot tarpon from the dock. The pool was a surprise which we used everyday, riding our bikes there. Key Colony USA safe community with walking/bike lanes throughout which we used night and day. The management and owners were polite/professional and facilitated a great vacation for us. I highly recommend this property.
We had a little hiccup with the management property on the dates, but Mark the owner was able to help us out, and from the time we checked in to the time we left, there were no further issues. The home is very spacious, well taken care of, and was perfect for two families. It was well equipped with everything we needed. We were able to enjoy two of the restaurants in Key Colony while we stayed, both were great, but never made it to the Cabana Club to enjoy the pool. This location is off the main road, so nice and quiet. Not to far from grocery stores, shopping, or a nice day trip to Key West. We had a great time and are looking forward to staying here again.
Perfect! I’m an optimist so I believed the recent reviews. No disappointments. The house was exceptionally clean, larger than expected and very comfortable. All necessary items were included. Location easy to access by car and boat. We enjoyed the Cabana club several times. Nice pool, hot tub, good food and service. We especially enjoyed the little beach.
The location of Key Colony Beach is also great. Quite community away from busy US 1, but close enough to Marathon to find anything you could want or need.

We loved this property. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained with plenty of space for our family of five. The master bedroom and bath (with private balcony) was comfortable and roomy. Enjoyed our morning tea and coffee on the downstairs porch watching the boats head out. We rented a boat from Captain Pip's for three days and docked at the house; the snorkeling at Sombrero Reef was excellent and we also enjoyed cruising over to The Island Fish House for lunch. Sparky's remains our favorite for good food and music in a great setting. We liked the option of being able to access the Cabana Club pool and went a couple of times. Key Colony was a perfect family setting and is convenient to everything -- including a day trip to Key West. I would not hesitate to recommend this property. We had a great trip from start to finish.
My thanks to Mark the owner and Bonnie the agent for arranging things for our last minute trip to the keys. Both Mark and Bonnie were wonderful. The house is as lovely as pictured. It has a large kitchen, and spacious master bedroom and bath. There were just two of us so we did not use the other two bedrooms but they looked nice. We rented a boat from Cap. Hook and kept it in the canal behind the house-very convenient. Walking distance to Key Colony Inn, a great place for lunch, and sunset park, a community hang out at sunset.
