Lovely, centrally located apartment in Quebec City

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent ten days in this lovely apartment on Rue St Jean. It is nicely appointed with high ceilings, a comfortable bed, very good wifi, and a washer and dryer. The apartment is within the old city walls and close to some very good restaurants. There are nearby crepes, pastry and sandwich places that are excellent and a nice grocery store about 4 blocks away. The apartment is within close but strenuous (lots of up and down) walking distance to the riverfront. We loved Quebec City and the apartment was an important part of it. The owner is helpful and very easy to work with.

Wow!

Can't say enough good things: Great location (5 night stay-car parked throughout). Loft met all of our expectations-kitchen, bath, bed etc all top notch. Can't do better-plan to return. Everything you need just outside the door. Lots of history to be discovered. An after dinner walk for coffe at Hotel Frontenac recommended.

Spacious, comfortable and great location!

  • 5 of 5

We were in Quebéc for the Festival d'été in July. It was close to the concert venues and walking distance to most sites in the city. The third floor apartment has plenty of room, is accessible by elevator, and has a comfortable bed, bathroom and living space. There is a convenient washer and dryer, and dishwasher. The kitchen is fine for cooking at home, or for warming up leftovers.

The third floor windows have a view of people milling in the shopping and restaurant area below. There were sometime street performers and music in the street. When the windows were closed, the noise was minimal. Fresh croissants and baguettes from the nearby bakery became a welcome part of our daily routine. One evening, we brought our dinner to the rooftop picnic area. Parking behind the building was convenient for a day trip to Montmorency Falls. Overall, a wonderful vacation!

Nearby restaurants were great (Chez Boulay for their gourmet tastes! Murphy's Pub for local beers and live music!. Also, try Poutineville across town for some of the best poutine in Québec) For basic foods for home, try Marché d'Emma up the street on Rue d'Ursule.

Beautiful Loft in a perfect Vacation location

  • 4 of 5

So much charm in this loft. We stayed here for a 10 year anniversary and it was romantic and a great amount of space for a couple. It was convenient to have many different amenities (bakery, restaurants, shopping, grocery, tourism sites) within walking distance and had a lovely view and felt like being in Europe. All the basic necessities were provided, though there's no easy way to connect a computer up to the tv if you want to watch Netflix so we'd recommend bringing a cable or something to take advantage of the nice big mounted tv.

My only difficulty was that the windows were not well covered for darkness so though they covered enough for privacy - it was necessary to have eye shades in order to block out store lights at night and early morning light in the morning (if you want to sleep in). The parking in behind the building is $20 per night as well if you need to budget that in (more if you park for just a night or two). But the parking lot was easy to access and perfectly located for use at this building. Definitely worth it to be able to have a permanent parking spot! Loved our stay and would recommend easily.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. We always appreciate them and use whatever tips we can to make our guests's stay, more pleasant. We will check for a cable for the tv,and thank you for bringing it to our attention. As for the parking, if people stay longer there is always the possibility to negotiate a weekly rate with the owner. Some guests paid 12.50$/day which is pretty good considering that you are downtown quebec city. Thanks again for taking the time to write to us. Sandra and Sylvain
